Hi Guys

I haven’t seen any recent posts - is the Beam working well with Samsung TVs in terms of lip sync? I’m looking at buying a new Samsung TV and a new Beam, but want to ensure the lip sync is all sorted.

Hi @Cloud24, Thank you for reaching out and welcome to the community. About your question with Samsung TV on Sonos Beam. It should work fine in terms of lip or audio sync. Sorry but you will have Lip Sync issues if connecting to the Beam via Arc from a Samsung TV. I do with a Q90r.

About your question, you can try to use the optical cable.and for us to check the status of your Sonos system, I’ll ask you to submit a diagnostic report to investigate further what could be causing this issue. You may reply to the thread with the confirmation number to assist you with this issue.

Yeah I currently use an optical cable from my different equipment to an optical switch and then pass that to the Beam via its adapter. Only issue is that optical is being phased out on newer equipment for example the PS5 and Series X so this may well have Lip Sync issues when you use HDMI.Would be good if SONOS could update the Beam to have EARC as this is supposed to eliminate Lip Sync issues on TVs that support (2020 Samsung's)  although not sure if there are technical reasons why this hasn't been done.

I am having lip sync issues between Beam and Samsung TV (HDMI ARC). It’s particularly bad when watching UHD through Sky Q. 
 

I have submitted diagnostics through the app, confirmation number 1036884174.

what can i do to sort this? It’s a 2020 Samsung TV.

Thanks for sending a diagnostic report of your Sonos system, upon checking, no issue was detected on your system. But kindly check this article about TV audio and video are out of sync and check if that will work for this issue.
