Just purchased (New) a pair of Sonos Ace headphones. They go with my Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar, Sonos Sub Gen 3 and 2 Symfonisk surround speakers. The swap function works fine but the volume of the headphones has to be at 94 to be sufficient for my usual listening preference. I am not saying it is a massive problem but with some of the films I watch I find it hard to understand what the characters are saying. This may be more a hearing problem my side, but surely their must be a work around to get a wider volume range?I have updated all my products firmware/ software. In music and normal TV watching the volume seems fine. It is purely listening in swap with the headphones.I like the headphones and can live with this third world problem, but any advice to make them better would be welcome. Many thanks
I have tried today to get support re my ace headphones via phone with sonos support. Headphone volume not very loud when listening to streaming services in swap mode. I was cut off after 30 mins on the first call then the second rep did not appear to know a thing or knowledge of sonos. I have been with sonos for over 10 years and this is the first time I have needed tech support and this was rubbish. How can I speak to a supervisor or someone who does not have to look at the computer to find out what he has to do to help. Worse customer service ever. Rant over sorry but spent the last hour being wound up by sonos so called support.
I know this might be a me problem but…The Sonos ace is ridiculously loud! Just test it out, play music on full without it on your head and it's like a speaker!I always have it turned down low but find myself creeping the volume up when a good song comes on or I want to hear more bass, and then I take them off and they are really loud to the point where I wonder if they are damaging my ears.Is there no way to limit the volume like we can on other Sonos speakers? Or perhaps an android app that could help?
Hi All. Can I use Sonos Ace headphones to connect via Bluetooth to an airplane's in-flight entertainment system? Is it easy and how do I do this? Many thanks.
Hi all, anyone else hear have some Sonos Ace headphones and can test this for me? I have two Sonos Ace headphones (wife and I) and they both do it. They’re both brand new. Sonos have told me they’re both faulty and to return them both but I’m thinking it’s more of a widespread QC issue. Put volume low or even off, and test with both ANC on and also in Aware mode and get some cutlery and drop the cutlery into the cutlery draw so it lands on other cutlery. This noise seems to make the headphones make a loud crackling static noise. It’s not just with cutlery, it’s lots of other loud metal or clicking noises. It’s like the ANC can’t handle it. This is definitely a fault with the ANC on these headphones and needs to be fixed.the noise does not occur when audio mode is OFF, only ANC on and Aware.
Hello, I’m writing today to add my voice to the many requests already made on this topic. What a surprise yesterday afternoon, when my wife received her Sonos Ace — which we had purchased specifically to avoid disturbing our children when watching TV in the evening — to discover that we cannot connect both headsets simultaneously. This is extremely disappointing, especially since Sonos promotes this feature as a selling point of the device. We appreciate the quality of Sonos products, but we are disappointed that this function — implicitly suggested through the sale of duo packs and the advertised benefit of connection with the ARC — is in fact not currently possible. We sincerely hope you will add this feature soon.Is this planned ?
Does Sonos ace work on the Sonos s1 app
Ive read a few things on how to stop people having access to my sonos while at home on wifi but why is there nothing when im out in public. I was recently powering up my headphones and someone connected to them.and played their music. Then I didn't have access to play music until I was out of range from them. I dont have multipoint access turned on. This is a huge let down...what can I do?
I had a very long exchange yesterday via chat as I am not getting the kind of volume I would like on the Sonos Ace when playing atmos music via the amazon music on my ipad. I also happened to mention that the volume on TV audio swap was low too. The Sonos guy then went through the process of increasing the volume on the TV audio swap which did work and I assumed rather naively that this would increase the music volume too. It did not and when I questioned this it was like I was speaking a foreign language as the guy then asked me if there was anything else he could help with I repeated my main issue i.e. the low volume on the headphones playing music and he told me to have a good day and terminated the chat. Any suggestions on how to increase the volume?
I have an extensive Sonos system, including a soundbar. As with millions of other people, we have a family member with significant hearing loss. A feature on the Sonos Ace headphones that would make it a must-buy would be the ability to have simultaneous outputs from the headphones and the soundbar. It's not as if it's a small market or Sonos don't know about grouping speakers. Surely this is technically possible, either as OTA upgrade or via next gen of Ace?
My ace headphones auto-connect to my phone first and I have to manually connect to my computer. I have turned OFF multipoint because multipoint ended up causing more issues (with ace keeping audio on my phone instead of on my computer during a slack call). Is there a way to prioritize devices for the ace headphones? First computer, second phone? I might end up unpairing my phone, but I do use them every once in a while on my phone.
Hi Sonoswhen will I be able to listen to Music from my music library with my ACE headphonesI like to listen to music playing on my eArc ultra but also want to be able to do this with my Ace headphones currently the Ace is tv audio only.thank you. Alan
Every time I go to use TV swap with my Sonos Ace headphones I have to do reboot my Sonos soundbar to get it to work.A couple days later I will go to watch a film and can’t connect again. There is an 8 step tutorial that I found on here that I know from heart that goes something like thisUnplug soundbar Turn of Ace Turn off Bluetooth Close Sonos app Plug soundbar back in After sounbar has booted, open app Turn Bluetooth back on Turn on AceIt works every time but a couple of days later you’re doing the whole thing again, I never power off any of my soundbars and they can’t all be broken (I have 4 around the house)It just makes me think my whole system was a waste of money. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or has anyone heard of a more reliable system on the market where you can also connect headphones with Dolby Atmos please let me know Thanks
Keeps loosing connection , anybody with any ideas ?
Would this setup work as a backdoor way to group Ace headphones with other speakers (or at least play them simultaneously)? If so, how exactly would I set it up?Here's my thought:- I already have a TV room with Beam, Sub-mini and two Ones as surrounds. Leave that room as it is.- Set up a new room with the Beam only, and another room with the two Ones and the Sub-mini only.- play music and select the two rooms. Then do TV swap, which would silence the Beam and play on Ace instead.Would the Ones continue to play the music aloud while the Beam music is transmitted to the Ace? If so, this would be great to allow me to leave the room and continue listening to the same music. If this would work, how do I do it? Can I have two rooms with the same components?
Would be helpful to me to have sound from a Sonos Ace and continue to have sound from a Sonos Beam at the same time. I think it cannot be done, I’m I right? TIA for any replies.
Sonos sent me an email asking me to write a review of the Ace. I spent a couple hours writing out a thorough and thoughtful review with lots of feedback. They haven’t posted it, and at this point it’s clear they have no intention to. So their review section is cherrypicked reviews, and the average rating is willfully biased.
Hello I have a problem with factory reset. Every time I have to explain to support that there is no way to properly restore factory settings. The blue diode is still on. I have tried everything. I have disconnected all devices and the rest of the procedure does not work. Support does not want to help me, they keep telling me to send some videos but do not respond. Have you had anything like this?
Question about the SONOS Ace headphones. I currently have 3 SONOS devices, and the app on iPhone, iPad and MacOS. All good. Do the headphones appear as another selectable device in the app? Put another way, if I want to listen to music from any of me sources via the app, can I simply de-select the other SONOS devices, have only the headphones selected, and play my tunes just like I do today?Sorry for the naive’ question, but it’s not clear from the documentation if the headphones work as any other SONOS device and playing music to the headphones is no different than my Move2 or Play5. Thanks
When the Sonos Ace are on and i receive a phone call (Android), no sound is played in the headphones. If I am listening to music, I can tell that I am receiving a call because the music stops but there is no sound in the headphones to alert me. What ma I missing? Thanks!
Is it true that using your headphones with the arc ultrasound bar you cannot simultaneously listen through the sound bar?
Has anybody tried the Sonos Ace (True Cinema functionality) via each the Sonos Ray, Beam and Arc?I’ve looked up the spec for each soundbar and can’t quite find the information I think would be necessary for gauging whether or not there would be any difference in the headphone listening experience, per soundbar, in True Cinema mode. For example, does the Arc have a superior means via which to measure/replicate room acoustics? Does the Arc have any other relevant superior elements in its specification (for example, quality of audio transmission via bluetooth, quality of atmos encoding to account for room acoustics) that mean the headphone listening experience (in True Cinema mode) would be any different compared to, for example, the Ray? If there is any difference, is it quite significant? And a final question: if one wanted to have a hybrid system with Ace headphones and, for example, a Sonos subwoofer (perhaps using ‘aware’ mode via the headphones, or - it one exists - some other Sonos p
