I have the Sonos Ace and I’m enjoying it at home, but I’d like to take it to work. Work does not let me use bluetooth, and the usb c to 3.5 audio cable that came in the box is too short for my needs. I have a 3.5 female port to usb-c cable. (Specifically this one.) And I have an audio jack to audio jack cable. (Specifically this one.) But I cannot get them to play audio through the Sonos ace in this configuration. The Sonos Ace is fully updated. Do I need to buy yet more cables?

Hello @jojoko, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear that the cables available to you are not working with your Sonos Ace.

As you can see from our Support Article Listen to wired audio on Sonos Ace in regard to the cable requirements:

Cable requirements

Sonos Ace supports the use of both its included USB-C cables for wired audio. Third-party USB-C to 3.5 mm cables are not compatible with Sonos Ace.

Although I understand that the length is not optimal but, just for troubleshooting purposes, do they cables included with your Sonos Ace work?

With my response your thread moved to the top of the latest activity list, maybe other Community users would like to chime in and share what cables worked for them and their Sonos Ace.

I hope this helps.

An extender cable should work.
