I’m using the Sonos Ace with my MacBook Air over USB-C while listening on Apple Music, and I’ve noticed something weird. When I take the headphones off, the music keeps playing, but when I put them back on, the music stops. Is that supposed to happen? It doesn’t do this on my iPhone 16 Pro or iPad Pro with the same USB-C cable. The wear detection is working normal with bluetooth.

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR. Of course, if the fault is Apple’s, they won’t be able to fix it, but at least they’ll ne able to have hard data to pass on.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I did some troublehooting. The Sonos Ace works normal with USB-C and Bluetooth on a Windows computer. It's an issue with the latest version of macOS Tahoe.
