Subject: Simultaneous playback via Sonos Ace and Arc – critical missing feature

Dear Sonos team,

I’m a long-time Sonos user and recently bought the Sonos Ace. The sound quality is impressive, but I’m genuinely disappointed that it’s still not possible to play TV audio simultaneously through the Sonos Arc and the Sonos Ace.

This is a real-world use case:
I’d like to use the headphones, while my partner listens through the Arc.
It’s a basic expectation for a high-end ecosystem like Sonos — not an exotic feature request.

This limitation clearly isn’t hardware-related but a software design choice. Competing systems (Samsung, LG, etc.) already support “dual audio” output over Bluetooth and HDMI simultaneously.

I strongly urge you to prioritize this feature in upcoming updates.
“TV Audio Swap” is nice, but it’s not enough — users want to share the listening experience, not constantly hand off control.

Kind regards,
Marijn

A loyal Sonos customer who wants to keep investing — if the ecosystem evolves with its users.

Hello @MarijnQ77, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’ve marked this thread as a feature request and forwarded it to the appropriate teams for consideration.

I’ve seen similar requests (if not the exact same) since the release of the Sonos Ace and I completely understand the need for its existence.

“TV Audio Swap” is nice, but it’s not enough — users want to share the listening experience, not constantly hand off control.

As you can see from our Support Article Listen to your TV with Sonos Ace TV Audio Swap, you can use two Sonos Ace’s (if you have one available) at the same time during a TV Audio Swap session.

Thank you for the feedback and post, it is much appreciated.
