Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Grouping rooms just doesn’t work. It adds rooms you’ve not selected (not great when that speaker is in the bedroom and the wife is trying to sleep). Removing speakers from a group just causes the app to hang and takes several attempts. Frequently skips songs or returns to beginning of playlist (especially when adding or removing speakers). Seems to have removed the existence of my Sonos Boost and I have no idea how to get this back, this is causing additional connectivity issues that the Boost had previously solved. Constantly seems to default to playlists being on a loop, I don’t want this to be the defaultI am sure there are many many others bugs I have not yet unearthed, but this is a very bad update, please provide the opportunity to roll-back until you have fixed these errors. Sonos is not cheap and the ability to group/ ungroup sets of speakers with ease should be the bare minimum for the user experience. Such

FWIW, here’s a tip for those whose Sonos app (iOS) does not see their music library. This has been the case for me since the original app overhaul. My very large music library is stored on the D: drive of my desktop PC. The workaround for me is to stream something — anything — from the app and then the “Your Sources” header suddenly reappears (where previously only “Your Services” was visible) and my library with it. It’s galling to have to do it this way but better than nothing. I realise that it might be because my PC could still be using SMBv1. However, the app is such a dumpster-fire that for the time being I am going to stick with this workaround rather than experiment further. I hope this helps anyone who has had problems getting the app to recognise their stored media.

The new design is not user-friendly:To play a radio station, I have to 1) click on Sonos Favorites, 2) click on Stations: View All (pointless), 3) scroll through a bunch of large unalphabetized images to find my station (hassle), 4) click on my station, 5) (and then the kicker) still have to click on Play! I should be able to just 1) click on a tab or Sonos Favorites and get an alphabetized view of the small icons (so one small scroll will show all of them), and 2) click on the station to make it play -- DONE. The info for the station should be a 3rd click. It makes no sense station info would take priority over play and cause an extra click EVERY TIME you play the station. All of this makes it incredibly labor intensive to flip through stations. Recently Added for Favorites should be something I can turn off, minimize, or move out of sight. I have it on the Home page already, and yet it’s right on top of all my stations every time? I should be able to

Hi, i just cant finish configure and get Dolby Atmos on my screen, i follow all the steps to configure in the app, I also activate Dolby Atmos on th Screen settings bc it wasnt on, and im trying to watch a movie and get Dolby atmos but it only says Dolby MAT 5.1, i dont know if my screen cant use atmos format or there is a step that im missing, if some one can help i would appreciated so much btw I have a samsung 55” qled 4k q65b 

I’ve spent thousands over the last few years on Sonos equipment, which decides to randomly stop working whenever it likes. Has anyone switched to a better product? Any recommendations?

This morning my app is not seeing any components.  The app looks weird. I rebooted my android but it didn’t help. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it didn’t help. I never have trouble using my system.  I added my pair of playone speakers with the app via Bluetooth but they indicate “not connected”.   I am out of things to try.

Hii just installed a new BT wireless router but have been unable to connect it my existing Connect Amp wirelessly   I can get Spotify to work with the Connect Amp if it is connected directly to my router with an Ethernet cable.   The Sonos system did a software update on the Connect Amp and now tells me that it is App S2 compatible but still will doesn’t connect over Wi-Fi.  Any assistance would be much appreciated.TIA   COLIN

Hi, i just bought a beam gen2 and it won’t update and show in the application.I can see when i want to configure it for the first time but after it connect to wifi they tell me code error 1101.And even after this it won’t show in the application.I need help. Thank you.

Am I missing something here or is it impossible to click on a song while browsing an Amazon playlist to immediately have it start playing?  If so, how did this simple feature get overlooked. Like seriously? You have a system you need to control using an app, your app should work flawlessly. Seriously get a new app team cause your current team sucks.

Every time i use Sonos and i pair it say its paired but i go to check and it says I haven’t paired it so i went to Sonos s1 to update it so it asks for my email i give it as soon as I finish it asks for it again 

Hi I moved homes and set up (a subset of) my Sonos devices again as a new system.  When I left my previous place I hadn’t disconnected the app / passed on ownership of previous system etc. ie had just packed the hardware and turned up at new place to install.The products are all working fine but my previously connected music services (Spotify and Apple Music) have disappeared from the app. They don’t appear in the app or in the search function. I am on iOS.  I have tried the following alreadyReset app delete and reinstall app install app on different phone  try the mac app shut of system + router and restart add a new service (thought old ones might just reappear)I am on the latest app / OS. Any one else have a similar issue ?

Hi everyone. I recently bought a Netgear Nighthawk CAX80 and am trying to set up a Play 3 as well as several Play 1 speakers with it. I did a factory reset on all my Sonos products and made sure they had the latest updates. Sonos apps are current as well on both Android and Iphone.I plugged my Play 3 into the Nighthawk via Ethernet. My phone (on wireless network via the same router) recognized it and set it up no problem. I can operate it as long as it is connected to Ethernet. But as soon as I disconnect cable the music stops, so clearly it is not connecting wirelessly.I went to “Manage Network” in the app, but as soon as I do that it instructs me to hold my phone next to the Sonos device so that it can recognize it. As best as I know, the Play speakers don’t have Bluetooth, so obviously this is futile.There doesn’t seem to be any way to access an actual network configuration over the app. What am I doing wrong? Shouldn’t the Play get all the necessary informat

I have a large local mp3 music library, shared over SMB and set up in sonos (android app). With the old app (before the disaster upgrade) I could browse by folder and random/shuffle play an entire folder with all its contents/subfolders. I have my music sorted in folders hierachically, by country / genre / artist and I used this random play functionality all the time.In the new app all this functionality was gone, along with a lot of other essential functionality. I reverted back to the last old android app version, disabled auto update, and I was able to enjoy all those features. For a while.But suddenly (today, returning after a holiday) the old app did not work at all anymore. “An app upgrade was required” and nothing at all worked so I was *forced* to upgrade. This did not make me happy because I used to have everything working just how I liked it with the old version.I was a bit relieved when I discovered that my media library was accessible in the new app,

I’ve spent 4 days reconnecting 2 play ones to playbar to create surround sound, it’s been frustrating to put it mildly!. Now my tv isn’t connected and I’m losing the will to carry on. I don’t want to lose what I’ve already done but how can II connect up to tv (Hisense) please??

I currently have a Beam 2, and my tv I have doesn’t support Dolby Atmos.Iv seen that the Amazon fire stick 4K max supports Dolby Atmos.  so my question is how would I set it up so that I can use the fire stick and beam to have Dolby Atmos. Do I need to get something to connect between the 2. Iv seen that Dolby Atmos doesn’t work with Bluetooth and just plugging them both into the tv, brings me back to square one.I have not bought the fire stick, so any other suggestions would be appreciated. Other than buying a new tv.

When will Sonos either: retract this last release and restore to the last version that worked or Fix ALL the bugs and problems?I have never in the last 25 years seen such a complete mess rolled out to customers. This new app doesn’t work as well as the very first release Complete garbage.
