Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’ll admit I have some older units. But ran audio to the Line in on my connect in the basement to play down there and it immediately started playing on my playbar upstairs interrupting the tv audio. Eventually got it all separated but not for more than 5 minutes and it switched again. Combo of older equipment and new app? 

Are there any further updates on timelines for fixing things that still don’t work in the crappy/wonderful (delete as appropriate) app we’re lumbered with using?Off the top of my head- volume control is still a nightmare and how it works seems to vary depending on screen you’re on- nothing plays from recently played (especially radio stations) - BBC sounds still has very little information about episodes and their played status. Getting sick of having to use the BBC sounds app first to check- linking zones when they are playing “unable to connect”    It’s pointless to say (as no-one cares) but this app update has ruined my Sonos and music/radio experience. Still so disappointed.  Would also like a reply to my web player query. 2FA at least / ability to disable? But lo, there’s some wind …

The girl at support told me the app is not up to date that why I can’t connect my move 2 whit my phone or iPad 

Where is the autoplay setting for my port in the S2 app? Every time I play a vinyl on my TT which is connected to a Marantz amp and then to my port which streams music to my era 300’s. When I turn the vinyl over, my port pauses and I have to press 'play' again on the line in screen in the app. It is so annoying. I believe this shouldn't happen if there was an auto play function. I have read all Sonos instructions and it keeps telling me to set auto play on the port. Guess what? I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the auto play function for my Port? I have 5 Sonos speakers… a Sonos ARC and 4 Sonos ONEs. Everything has been fine the last few years with minimal problems.The other morning I woke and the system couldn’t be found and it wouldn’t connect through basic troubleshooting steps.I factory reset the speakers after the app said it cannot connect and they still wouldn’t connect.No changes have been made to my modem and router and this has been confirmed with my provider.I contacted Sonos support, and after waiting 35 minutes and talking for that also, all they did was run through everything I told them I already did.  Then, 5 hours later in the evening the system miraculously just shows up. I didn’t do anything.  That lasted for less than a day, now my 4 Sonos ONEs cannot connect yet the ARC is fine.  Again all troubleshooting steps have been followed. This seems to be so glitchy ever since the new app version came through. Never had any serious problems with

After updating to the new Sonos app on Android (replacing the Sonos S2 App), I noticed that several of my Sonos Favorites are greyed out and cannot be selected.I suspect that some of them were radio stations from the old TuneIn service - which doesn't appear in the new Sonos app anymore.So, how do I remove those old favorites now?Typically, I'd have to find the item under the specific service and "un-favorite" the item there, correct? (E.g. search for the radio station in the old TuneIn service and deselect it there... But since the service isn't available anymore, I can't.)

Is anyone having issues with playing ANYTHING on any sonos product? Mine won't even play the radio stations today.

How do I go about playing music that I have downloaded on my phone?

2days of frustrated time spent trying te set up this device.  I did more than one complete reset of the device, but still, it is not possible to set up this f***** thing.  First, the temporary connection was lost each time, during the set up process.  then, if I managed to get past this obstacle, the device needed an update. Which it couldn’t do. So the connection was lost again and I had to start over.  Then, I tried with an Ethernet cable directly into the Sonos connect. That worked, I set everything up. But when I move the connect to the place where it needs to be, without Ethernet, the wifi network and password was apparently not stored on the device.  In the app, I ve tried turning wifi on and off (whilst on te Ethernet cable). There seems to not be a possibility to go into the connect settings, to tell the device what the correct wifi settings (ssid en password) is.  can anyone help?

After the IT outage yesterday just one of my connected speakers won’t work. I know it’s functional because I re-tuned it and sound was successfully emitting. How do I get my speaker to play again?

Just updated to S2. Now I cannot access my Music Library located on an external HD that is connected to the router via USB anymore. The albums still shown under favorites cannot be found anymore (no longer available) and I can not find the menu for the music library setup anymore to refresh or do anything. Clicking on System Settings and then Manage next to my system name does not bring up the menu point neither in the sub menus. Did Sonos eliminate the possiblity of playing songs from music libraries on external discs or NAS or what am I doing wrong?

Have Samsung tv that supports Dolby atmos. Made changes to the tv settings to not use PCM and send the raw audio to the home theatre system that includes arc, mini sub and 2 era 300s. Arc connected via hdmi eARC. Video on Apple TV supports Dolby atmos. Still the audio in shows empty and the status says HDMI and PCM2.0. What should I do? 

Brand new roam and unable to add. Firstly the ping pairing doesn't work. Which seems odd. So used the code on the bottom. Fine. Connects to WiFi.App then says Added but may not appear on your system. Turn off, back on again and return to app.Return to complete setup. Sits for ages then says "There was a problem adding your Sonos Roam to your system"Tried a few times and same result.The app then tries to do a system update and apply to the Roam which crashes.I've sent diagnostics. I've spoken to an agent which ultimately got disconnected and a waste of time.I've done a factory reset and hit the same problem.Faulty Roam or..? Doing setup on Android. App has been updated.

I want to downgrade my Sonos system to S1: it simply works better than the ‘improved’ S2 and has features I regularly use that are still absent from S2.All of my devices except an Era 300 are S1 compatible.I started with my Move (v1), performed a factory reset, and tried to use the S1 iOS app (v11.14) to add the Move to an existing S1 system … and get taken to this Sonos web page.Why, Sonos? Just Why?Anyone know any workarounds?  

Today morning the sosos system disappeared - on arc I can see white dot and that it. I reset it and it is not connecting to tv room. It is not connecting to tv. What to do? 

Hi there! After updating the Sonos app, I have problems to play Spotify lists simultaneously in different speakers (Sonos play 1 and play 3). The app does not allow me grouping different speakers at playing, it says that it is not possible, try later. Is it a common problem? Do you know how to solve it? Hello.I have downloaded the new app, but can't find where speaker balance settings.  This used to to be under the EQ settings, under setting.  There is base, treble, loud but no balance.  Do you know where it is?

Hi. Just installed era 300 to my system, first came to update software, after software updated. App not continues but give me diagnosis nr. I CAN NOT ACCESS.. Already talked to live agent yesterday and she gave up.Conclusion. After trying to connect new speakers the system is down completely 

Feature request (which was present on previous app) to add a song to a Deezer playlist from the Sonos app.Also to search the Alblum of song that is playing on deezer through the Sonos app.

Why have Sonos removed the sleep timer function in the new App . This makes my speaker useless to me.    Waiting for a response from Sonos but if nothing forthcoming I will have to ditch it and change brands as I use it all the time.  if you’re having the same issues please email Sonos as well, the more that do should hopefully make them take some action !! 

Since the latest update of the Sonos app on my iPhone 13, my Roam speaker has refused to connect with the other speakers. It works, but only separately from the others, which means having two circuits running simultaneously - one for the Roam alone, another for everything else. Trying the other way round, i.e. to get all the other speakers to join the Roam, doesn’t work either.  In both cases the notification “Cannot connect. Try again later” appears, but later is never any good. I’d love to fix this. Any ideas?

Since I reinstalled the Sonos app, it takes 40 seconds to launch every time. That is ridiculous and makes the system useless. How will you solve this? I see same topics here of years ago of people who have the same issue. I invested a lot in Sonos products but this way I dont want to use it any longer. My network, router etc are all fine. It all worked fine untill I installed your new version. Same happened to other people I know who use Sonos.

Sonos newbie here...have ultimate immersive set (arc/sub3 and 2x era 300s) connected to tv via arc/hdmi.  Everything is connected in Sonos app and working together as specific room setup.  I’ve also separately been able to conf bluetooth pairing on each of the era 300s to other bt devices. I’m hoping there is a way to (some other device like Sonos connect or port?) to connect other devices (pc/laptop/phone) to output sound to the entire immersive set?  Hopefully something which allows bluetooth stream inputs which then would output to the entire immersive set? Thanks! 

As the title says, I’m interested in them as an alternative to the Apple Headphones which are too much for headphones that are several years old.But for headphones, I want to listen to them before I’d consider paying for them.   Is it sold at retail so I can try without buying them?
