Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My Boost based systems have collapsed! Has Sonos abandoned Sonosnet?In an effort to reduce ‘spanning tree protocol’ errors and ‘network latency’ in my clients’ IP networks, I’ve been building Sonos systems via a single wired Sonos device. That is, I plug a Boost (or Connect or Amp) into the Ethernet, then connect all other devices wirelessly to the sonosnet WiFi network created by the first device.This process has allowed me to build robust, reliable Sonos systems (without messing up the existing network) for years. Many of the properties I work on are massive multi acre sites, where to Boost’s range extending features are vital.These reliable networks appear to have collapsed this month. I’m getting calls from clients who can no longer operate their systems.As a dealer/installer I have several Boosts in stock. But I see that they are no longer mentioned on the Sonos website. I have a Boost, a Play 3 and two Play 1s. I usually operate using the S2 app.A few weeks ago the app showed “no products found”. This has happened before but has fixed itself by switching wifi on and off. Now it won’t fix at all. As a last resort I have factory reset all products and set up the new system again. Products are successfully added but still don’t show up in the app.  This call for help is my final attempt to fix it. If it’s not fixed then I give up and leave Sonos as a customer forever. I’m done with all the recent issues.  Thanks for your time in reading this.

I’ve just updated to the new Sonos app.  It “lost” access to my Music Library during the Update and no longer gives the option to access it in Manage My system.  What’s going on Guys?  Have you lost the plot?

Where on Earth is SEARCH field on Sonos Controller for Mac version 16.3?!?Where did it go? It was difficult enough to navigate in the darkness and small font, and now not even the Edit menu takes me nowhere with Search, what on Earth happened?On top of making a black-only-background app you take away SEARCH? If Sonos is this unfriendly to the range of normally sighted consumers I can’t imagine how unempathetic they are to the sight-disabled population!Color choices for background, when?  Font size choices for background, when? Bring SEARCH back, or else this becomes a fancier version of ipod shuffle!One can easily tell there are not anthropologists or diverse populations involved in Sonos UI-UX design. Airplay only makes it less competitive, and if that is the case I prefer changing my M.O. and switching to a less expensive speaker ecosystem. Gotta edit title of my savings fund.

I have to manually reconnect my speakers each time I use my Sonos app.  They have power but will not play until I reconnect them. Is there a fix?

So I’ve finally been forced in to updating the app. I’ve always used the alarm feature to wake me up with my favourite radio station. Anyone know where I can find that feature in the new app?

Hi there!I’ve been using Sonos for a few years, almost exclusively to play music. I don’t own a tv, but I have a macbook that I play movies and tv shows off of (netflix, apple tv and other streaming services. I don’t watch cable tv and don’t intend to). For sound, I often use my Sonos Roam SL because it connects via bluetooth and there is no lag between the image on the laptop and the sound on the speaker.  Now, I recently made 2 purchases: a XGIMI mogo2 pro projector, and a Sonos Ray. I’m now trying to see if and how it would be possible to play movies over my projector, using my Sonos living room set up (2 x One SL, Ray) to supply the sound. Is there any possibility to connect my Sonos living room set up to my projector to create a home theater? I know very little about these things, so please assume I know nothing! Any advice would be hugely appreciated. PSIf there is no way to connect these things - please note I bought the Sonos Ray on a bit of a whim, because it was on discount.

Hi, I have changed network router and trying hard to update my system (two era 300 and one ikea ) I want to reach system settings in Sonos app. When pressing “Go to System settings” nothing happens. So I am stuck. Anyone who understands what this can be? thanks, Lena

Does anyone know how to connect Play 3 and Move 2

I don’t want to turn my TV on to play music.I thought Sonos was the holy grail - the fancy sound bar that would work with my TV and also be available for Airplay.The sound for TV is good. Don’t need subtitles nearly as much. The bass is sufficient for most things. The spacial quality and clarity do not disappoint. I’ve seen the other posts about airplay problems, and yes, if I reboot everything in the right sequence, remove and re-add the device, poke a doll with pins then my beam shows back up. I don’t have to turn on my TV to listen to music.Just not exactly the “effortless” experience I was advertised.I have other devices on the same WiFi, some LG, others Apple, others open source stuff running on a raspberry pi, and they all show up as Airplay targets. Which makes me think it’s not a general problem with my wifi configuration. It’s most likely a software bug on the Beam. 😞

I’ve been able to add my music library to my Windows 10 Desktop using the NAS device option.  I have a Windows 10 Laptop I use for a different Sonos system in a different location. I have the music library physically on both devices, with the folder sharing settings the same. When I try to add the music library to the laptop system I get the “Folder access denied” message.  When I transferred the music library to a flash drive I was able to add it to the Laptop system without a problem.  Any ideas why? Don’t want to have to leave a flash drive connected all the time.

I have been on the phone to sonos now for 1 hour 15 minutes and they told me the wait maybe 50 minutes. Since their new app etc my set up is not working. I have sonos playbar, sonos sub and 2 sonos 1’s. They worked perfectly fine and now do not want to connect. It connects the sonos play bar and then says it may not show up and restart but no luck. I connected it with network cable and it worked but the sub etc won’t connect. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

Sonos App issue With the updated app—Cannot get past the terms of Use, license and Warranty page so that I can use the app. The “Accept” button is grayed out although I have selected my country.Any recommendations on how to resolve?

Hi allHaving issues with adjusting volumes on speakers. There is a terrible lag between moving the slider and the sound changing, the adjuster just lags behind you controlling it.Also are we ever going to have playlists re-installed?

I can't open system settings!!! So I can't connect to the new WiFi

I was finally able to listen to Eno’s excellent The Lighthouse station over the weekend, but after playing something else I cannot reconnect to it. It repeatedly spins and gives a “unable to play the selected item” error.I’ve tried removing it from favorites, browsing through the Sonos Radio listings, using desktop and mobile apps, and even signing up for a free trial of Sonos Radio HD. Nothing works. Other Sonos Radio stations play just fine. My day is all meetings all the time so waiting on hold for an hour to talk to someone won’t work. 

As of today, my Roam SL no longer appears in the APP. I have reset and reconnected to the WFI Network, which connects to the WFI Network but does not appear in the APP. I am also done reset the router and nothing changed.The two Play1s in the same network have remained in the APP and are working. What's the problem?

I have different places with different Sonos systems. Each with their own individual Sonos account. When moving form one place to another EACH TIME I have to "search for system" on the current network and login to the account attached. EACH TIME. @Sonos: WHY?!?!?!?This used to work flawless in the previous app. Only one time discovery per system and one time login per system and from then I could flawlessly switch from one place to another.

I have an Orbi mesh set up with three satellites - one of the satellites is wired as it is at the top of the garden in the gym.  I also have a Sonos Play 3 in the gym. I am not using sonosnet. The Sonos Play 3 in the gym takes a very long time to be discovered by the app each time and then there are huge delays (as in 30 seconds) in being able to play tracks, move on to next track, pause music etc etc.  The rest of my sonos set up which is in the house (not at the top of the garden) runs like clockwork.  Is there something I’m missing here??

Hi all, since the latest update for iOS, the microphone function has stopped working. I read a few posts on the community pages on a similar topics ,but nothing to cure the problem ?Any help would be appreciated 

Downloaded the latest version of the app (80.03.07). Using it on iPad. It won’t let me sign in. I try multiple times and it looks like it’s signed in, it shows my account up the top of the ‘account area’ but all other features such as ‘recently played’ tell me to sign in. I have signed out and back in multiple times. I can’t even change EQ settings for my products unless I’m signed in!! What the hell!? If there’s a sign in issue I can’t even control my own products I have paid $1000’s for? Absolute joke. I’ve turned Bluetooth on etc etc. everything is setup fine with relevant permissions. I am on the verge of selling all my Sonos products and going elsewhere because it has been years of technical glitches and issues. The Sonos sound is amazing but your apps and technical glitches are constantly letting the products down. Please fix. Also, while you’re at it, get rid of the annoying Bluetooth pop up when I start the app. I don’t always have Bluetooth on and use my system via wifi. I don
