Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I just bought 2 ERA 100s.  One set up easy and works.  The other does not.  I live in apt where I dont control router settings.  I turned off my android phone vpn to try and set up.  It has gotten all the way to asking for wifi network and password which goes fine and then it says it has a problem connecting to network?  how so, if the first era 100 did fine?  I have no other sonos equipment.  how to fix.  Ive reset era 100 and router 5 or more times.  Lights go out after 20 sec on era 100, why is that?  Used to be such a simple product to use, now im debating whether its worth it.  would like some good tips to correct.

Two play 5’s setup as stereo,keeps falling out when playing thru turntable via pre-amp thats cabled to sonos Amp. at the same time, sonos app S2 is saying the wifi-connection is very good? any suggestions. The play5’s is in the next room 7mtr away, and never had this happening  

As a LONG time Sonos Dealer and a Luxury Residential Systems Integrator, I never even ONCE considered ANY Sonos competitors as a legitimate alternative, for myself, or for ALL my clients. Since the new app update this May, I’ve now been considering specifying ANYTHING BUT Sonos for all my ongoing projects. Any integrators out there with great feedback for Yamaha’s Musicast or Harmon’s Denon Heos? Is Bose even poised to strike with Sonos’s recent MASSIVE BLUNDER?

Hello, I very recently purchased Sonos Ace headphones. However, i’ve found that the volume is constantly too loud when listening to music. Music that I used to sleep to now averages 65-70 db at the lowest I can get it, and using the headphones is unbearable at times. It is relevant that I use an Iphone and apple music.I have tried:• Turning my phone volume down to the lowest possible amount without it cutting out.• Using the Sonos app’s inbuilt equalizer• Trying to use Apple Music’s inbuilt equalizer. Which only has customization on mac.• Using Other equalizer apps. Which don't work due to Apple music’s DRM protections.I know that the volume isn’t high enough to be damaging. But I would really appreciate any ideas on how to further decrease the volume. I have a playlst on Amazon Music which has 538 aongs. The playlist works through the Amazon Music app but when playing through Sonos it does not play the last 38. I am aware Amazon used to have a limit of 500 songs but this is now set at 2,500, can the Sonos app not handle this yet?

When is Sonos going to fix the mess it has created with its latest app update? The inventory of its shortcomings likely outrun the space provided here, but a couple of key cockups are:•it cannot find any of the playlists I trusted it to store for me over the past five years;•it offers no way to create new playlists;•it offers no way to save queues to make new playlists, although at this point the thought of investing time to create a new playlist that likely will be lost is too frustrating to contemplate.So far customer service to deal with the app ineptitude has amounted to promises of patchwork fixes somewhere in the future. What are we to do in the meantime? Hope that the same team responsible for the original mess will come up with a solution? That is extremely unlikely. The best gauge of future actions is past actions.Also extremely unlikely: continued use of Sonos equipment or its system. 

Beyond Frustrated and about to ask for a refund. Our Sonos Roam will NOT connect to our existing system. IF we can actually get it to work, it creates its own system. We have done everything. Rebooted, logged out/in system, rebooted phone and internet. We have done everything we can possible think of and/or read about. We have done everything to NOT throw this POS across the room and currently opening a bottle of wine.We were able to connect via blue tooth once….yes...once! It seriously has just been a very expensive paper weight.PLEASE HELP!  For the price of this system/speakers, everyone expects MORE. fyi: After reading other posts and responses, we can assure SONOS that we do not have internet/connectivity issues. Our router is new and have had no issues with any other device. Please do not state this is the reason behind all the issues.  

Hi all, so pulling my hair out here like many! Playbar has been working fine the past year or so with my silver Samsung tv remote (QLED 55) and suddenly when unplugging it to set something up, voila the remote willnot adjust the volume at all. I have tried a factory reset, re-installation even the old power test trick to no avail!  It has done this before but I managed to fix it which means this issue can be solved, I just can’t remember what I done.Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated as I’m about to throw it over the wall!

Hi Sonos Community,I just had a very frustrating week trying to get my SONOS PLAY:1 speakers to reconnect after I updated my home Wi-Fi with a new modem. I followed all the SONOS troubleshooting instructions (e.g. resets, turning the modem off/on, trying the older app) and read all the community topics, but nothing worked.Today, I finally got my PLAY:1 speakers reconnected by factoring in one vital step that the SONOS troubleshooting does not include. Remove other devices on your home Wi-Fi network prior to reconnecting your SONOS PLAY:1 speakers. Before removing the other devices, type in your modem ip address in the search bar of your computer and log in to see what devices are using the network. Systematically disconnect them from the home Wi-Fi (e.g. Smart TV, tablets, computers) until you’re left with just your phone with the SONOS app and connected to the home Wi-Fi. NOTE: I did not reset my modem. I left it on and it was connected all

Long story short.I cannot recall my WIFI P/WSo I did as directed and hooked it directly up to my router with TWO different ethernet cables.Still won’t work. Blames me for the power not being on or it being plugged in. IT IS.So I guess that’s that. I now have a expensive paperweight.And just for some history. This thing has been an absolute UX nightmare from the day I got it. Multiple networks, routers etc, and there has alway been issues. Buenos días. Cada vez que cambio de romper, de nueva Red de WiFi, me es difícil que la aplicación Sonos detecte el AMP. Ya no sé qué hacer. Aparece la Red de Sonos y me conecto a ella. Pero no consigo que la aplicación de Sonos, cuando sigo los pasos, detecte el AMP. No es posible ni con mi teléfono Samsung ni con el Ipad. Alguien me puede ayudar? 

After a recent update in the app i am no longer able to turn of surround-sound. I normally do this in settings - surroundsound.I have a beam, sub and 2 ones for rear speakers. Maybe I am just missing something?

Hello All!I’m looking to connect a Beam 2 to my existing Era 100’s pair & Sub Mini. Is it possible to still use the Bluetooth on the Era’s for my main connection while still getting sound out to the Beam 2? I’ve heard I can have the Beam in its own group and then share the audio to it via connecting the groups together (would there be any sound delay with this??). Or would it be better to connect the Era’s / Sub mini to the Beam 2 and then use the HDMI to Optical to connect things to my pc? I’ve heard that there can be delays in the sound vs video if doing this…? Just looking for any tips / tricks to make everything connect together without delay as I’ll be mostly playing games and watching movies etc with the speakers (yes some music but mainly in the background). Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m loving the Era’s and Sub Mini so far!

I recently gave my Era 100’s to my son, how ever, they still appear in the app as Era 100 LR and Era 100 LR2, how do I remove the speaker from being seen in the App as every time I turn the system on it tells me they’re not connected.Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

At my previous home I had all Sonos Connects and spent years building a large playlist.  We bought a new house, but set it up with all new Sonos Amps, etc.  I brought a few of the Sonos Connects from the old home, but I’m scared to hook it up to my new system because I fear it will reinitialize and erase everything on the Connect.  What’s the best way to get my playlist off of the old Connect and onto my new system?

My one saving grace in all this was that at least I could still index from the desktop app (as the subject).Now I’m getting the error message that says the path has changed or the device is no longer powered up, neither of which is true. I realize this is not uncommon in the last few months, but I’m not as savvy as I would like to be. Everything is updated, heaven help me. File sharing, and so forth is still on. No permissions have suddenly changed.I’m reluctant to do anything too big before consulting people who know more than I do. Right now, not being able to index. My most recently added files isn’t the worst thing that could be happening, as we know from the last three months. I don’t wanna reduce the functionality I have by acting rashly. But my collection is on going so I would like it to be updated as often possible. I would appreciate any suggestions for how I might get myself back on track here. Thanks in advance

When, if ever will Ace be an integrated speaker (I know it’s a headphone) in the way all others are in the home? Sort being able to use without so much toggle and controlling and play music or TV out of it by simply designating it?

First off this has been a running issue since app update. Every week randomly I cannot start music on either of my Moves, just hangs and errors out. I can start music on any non Move speaker, then add the Move, BUT I cannot control the volume once added on the Move, only by physical touch buttons I can adjust. I have rebooted and restarted and it still has the same problem. Any help is appreciated! I’ve invested in sonos for its sound and portability, wife is done, ready to ditch the system!
