Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello Sonos Community,I have some questions regarding my new setup before I place an order.I currently own two SONOS IKEA Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers. They are set up in stereo mode facing my couch on the TV stand.I am planning to install a projector, which will be installed behind the couch to have enough distance (it's a standard projector, not a short-throw one).I'm looking for a solution to send the audio from this projector via HDMI output or audio jack, while simultaneously playing the sound on my Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers.The solution I thought of is to purchase a pair of SONOS ERA 100, place them next to the projector (behind the couch), and connect them via a USB-C to Jack adapter so they can play the projector's sound without latency.But, will the sound be automatically sent to my Sonos Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers, which will be under the projection screen in front of the couch, and without latency?Thank you for your he

My entire system mutes randomly and without touching any buttons, The voice Assistance not activated and that's not what appears to be causing it. Are there any solutions? I have updated my system.

In spite of platitudes and promises from the CEO, on 01 August it is still appalling.  I have completely lost access to Plex and many years of playlists. It still loses the sperakers and plays different streams from different speakers.  Thank god I still have the original app on my PC. Otherwise the system would be imposiible to switch off. I was going to fully upgrade my Sonos system next year, but they can stuff it. I am going to a more reliable competitor.  This is how they treat their early adapters. After a decade as loyal customer this is what we end up with!

Using the physical buttons on my stereo pair play 3s with paired sub has a massive delay in updating the volume. Its to the point that I can’t get it dialed into a reasonable volume because of overshooting or undershooting.  These three speakers are all using sonos net to connect. The majority of my system is hard wired, including a playbar that sits 10 feet away from these speakers. Of note and possibly related: Sonos app has a hard time determining media is playing on these speakers when I initiate it from Spotify on my computer. Is there anything I can do to improve the performance of these speakers beyond hard wiring them? 

I have 3 rooms set up as surrounds suddenly 2 of the rooms disappeared. After rebooting my router, they have reappeared but now components are missing and won’t re-add. One is a sub in the living room that won’t re-add back with my Arc and Era 300s. The other are 2 Symfonisk lamps that won’t add back to my bedroom beam. This happened a couple of weeks ago with just the living room and  after Sonos support were less than helpful, I managed to get it sorted myself but no components went missing. Sonos support were claiming it was my network and wireless mesh system, but couldn’t explain to me why that would suddenly be a problem when the system has all worked flawlessly for 2 years exactly as it’s set up now. Any suggestions from anyone? Is the new app part of the problem? Again no problems before updating that either. Short of removing my whole system and re-adding it, or hard wiring one speaker and creating a separate Sonos network, I don’t know what else to do. P.S. after rebooting

With the new app update, I can no longer access my TV or Music Library. A few days ago, when the new app was made live, it was terrible, but at least I could get sound on my TV and access my exiting music library (although I couldn't add to it or search content). But today, my TV and my Music Library sources are no longer available. If I can't connect to my TV surround system, I have no volume on my TV. What is going on? This is getting worse and worse. I tried the chat, and it said no one was available and I should call. I called, and I was told there is an estimated 80 minute wait. What is going on? How do I get my functionality back?

I just installed the new Sonos app. After doing so, all but 2 of my playlists have disappeared?  Specifically, if I selected Sonos Favorites, then Playlists View All, only 2 playlist are showing . . . countless are MIA.I sure hope there are instructions for resurrecting my playlist. 

HelloI am trying to add my remote music library (on external G-Tech drive) via the new app, or if not that, add iTunes. I cannot access either at present, only Deezer.I have (I think) done everything i am supposed to do - followed all the instructions. I have added the music folder via sharing as suggested. I have typed //computer name/sharename. Every time I try to add a folder it rejects my username and password. Why? I have used the user name and password for my computer that I always used to use when adding anything to Sonos. I then tried my email address and Sonos account password. Neither of these work. Any advice would be appreciated. I have spent hours and hours trying to sort this out.

The recent update to the app to allow long awaited access to my music stored on the nas drive doesn’t work…  WILL NOT ACCEPT login details  I know the drive is working because I can connect with a pc and Mac  please get this sorted as it’s sooooo frustrating … why release the update on this function before testing it correctly ???????

How do I fix it?  I have an iphone with the new app, my spouse has an iphone with the old gold app, our music is in an itunes folder on a windows laptop.  The music library is gone on all of them, and I get Error 913 when I try to add the music folder back to Sonos on the laptop.  Our speakers are useless without this - we don’t use streaming services, just our music library.  Do I need to get rid of the Sonos system now because local music isn’t an option anymore???

I have a Play 1 which is connected to the Ethernet and was working ok yesterday but have orange flashing light today. Any suggestions on how to resolve?BTW Its connected to the Ethernet as it keeps loosing the Wifi when unplugged and the connect to wifi is selected in setup 

How do I remove a Sonos roam from the S2 App? The roam is dead and no longer connects to the system and therefore needs to be removed from the device list. 

Hello Sonos, After upgrading from the old SONOS APP to the new SONOS APP (May 7th), the APP dont run on Android (XIAOMI). I try to remove and re-add, and the APP stays freeze, I can only see “SONOS”.If I try with another android Samsung, the SONOS APP works, I can we the same SONOS first screen, but will change to a video and ask to login.  

The Sonos App works on my computer and my Samsung phone, but I've downloaded onto my Wife's Iphone 14 and it just can't find the system. All are on the same Wifi network?

It just started happening that the volume in my speakers (11) are turning off and I have to return the volume to the previous level. Seems to be a glitch with the new app update. I never had this issue in the 9 years I've had Sonos.

Since a week or two, my speakers have a green led after being inactive for a few hours. I have switched the status lights off in the settings, to no avail.Why are the lights on, and how do I turn them off?Esprcially in a bedroom at night, I don't want a green glow all over the walls and ceiling.

I recently updated the app, as well as all of my software for the speakers in my house. Ever since then, my speakers will randomly reset the volume to 0 multiple times throughout the day, which then causes them to display a green light on top of the speaker. Is this happening to anyone else? Super annoying, especially in the middle of the night when the white noise in my kids room turns off and wakes them up. Need this fixed asap.

I have noticed some of my speakers sporadically going to volume level 0 since the June 17, 2024 update of the new App. This causes the speaker’s indicator light to go green. Has anyone found a setting to stop these volume changes?

Before the update, Sonos worked just fine.Now, I need to restart my router, in order for Sonos to play streams from TuneIn or other radio. Otherwise I am getting the "Something went wrong" message.I shouldn't need to do this, but it looks like I have to. Why does it need a restart every day in order to work?

Hello, I am really hoping someone out there will be able to help. I have recently upgraded my broadband and was sent a new router, the Vodafone Ultra Hub, and am having issues connecting my Sonos speakers.I have a Beam (Gen 1) that seems to connect absolutely fine and that is also connected to my TV and works.I have two One SL’s that I use as surrounds for the Beam and for some reason they constantly drop their connection. I have hard reset all speakers multiple times to try and get it working but even though the One SL’s connect to the WiFi fine at first, if I then set up as surrounds they disconnect.I have also managed to reboot to get them appearing as surrounds correctly, only for them to lose the connection later.Vodafone support recommended I split the 6GHz to its own premium signal and that also helped but only temporarily.Sonos support recommended turning off the WiFi booster that came with the router and again that only worked temporarily.
