Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Not sure if it’s a bug or a feature request, but when I open my Sonos iOS app the “now playing” song metadata is always behind (showing the prior song).  A small gripe since it takes a second or two to refresh and get caught up.  Why can’t the app just update this metadata in the background all the time if music is playing?   FWIW I don’t have this lag with Apple Music or Spotify apps.  

Amazon Music keeps cutting out on Sonos systemI’ve been having ongoing issues with Amazon Music streaming on my Sonos system. The problem only happens with Amazon Music — all my other services (Spotify, Pandora, etc.) stream perfectly without interruption.When I play Amazon Music through the Sonos app, the music will randomly cut out, stop in the middle of a song, or skip ahead to another track on its own. It happens across my speakers at the same time, which makes listening really frustrating.For context, I have two Sonos Amps (one powering my inside speakers and one for my outdoor deck speakers), a Sonos Move 2, a Sonos Move, an Arc Ultra system, and a regular Arc system. Hello Everyone,I just ordered a pair of Sonos Era 300’s to run as rear speakers for my surround sound.Please excuse the condition of the house, we just had a flood and I’ve been tearing everything out.Right now we have a Sonos arc, Sub Gen 3 for the front and I have recently acquired a Sub Gen 2 for behind the couch. Up to this point I have been using two Sonos Play 1’s as rears which will move to a different room.The couch will be placed in the blue rectangle, and is 43” tall. We are building a half wall between the rooms outlined in red which will be 40” tall.The rear sub will be placed behind the couch as outlined in green.As for the era 300’s the placement is a little bit more tough, as you can see on the left side is a light switch and the mantle to our fireplace, so realistically I’d have to place it a

I’ve been charging my Sonos move with a USB and the main charger it came with for 5 hours each and it does not switch on regardless of what I do. Whilst it is charging, the battery symbol at the front constantly flashes. I’ve tried to hold the power button but the light at the top just flashes white and switches off again. Really wondering what’s happened and would love some help, feel like I’ve tried everything.. 

Never mind, fixed it.  My Beam Gen 2 is cutting out on Atmos content on Apple+ and Disney+. TV audio is set to pass through. HDMI cable is good. 5.1 content plays with no issues.

I’ve recently purchased the Sonos Arc Ultra. I bought the latest David Gilmour and Peter Gabriel albums for their Atmos mixes. However, the vocals on both albums sound like they were recorded in echoey caves. Horrible. They sound fine on normal stereo mixes. To say I’m disappointed is a major understatement. Is there any particular setting on the soundbar that could improve matters. 

HiI have a Samsung S90D TV and Sonos Beam 5.1 Setup and I get 5.1 from my Apple TV and Firestick fine.I also get 5.1 from my Blu Ray player for any non DTS audio discs but for any Blu Rays with DTS, I just get Stereo PCM as Samsung does not support DTS.My question is. Will a HDFury Arcana solve this for me?Ideally I want to avoid a HDMI switcher but I assume if I will need to get one for the ATV/Firestick too if I am going to use HDFury for the Blu Ray PlayerThanks

Hello,I was using Spotify with my Sonos speaker for some time and recently I gave Apple Music a try. Normally, when using Spotify service, when I request a song from Sonos Voice Control, it would first tell me what song is being played and then the reproduction would start. When I switched to Apple Music it doesn’t do that anymore. It just plays a chime indicating that the request has been received and then the song playback start.My question is - is this a bug or feature? :D Is enunciating what is being played not available for Apple Music?Thanks in advance!

Hi, We have 5 Sonos speakers in total, using Wifi setup to connect to the speakers. 4 of them are grouped whereas one is individual speaker. (4 Sonos 5; 1 Sonos Era 100)We have set alarms from 730AM to 730PM and the playlist are from SoundTrackYourBrand (12 hours in the settings).However, the alarm is only trigger/playing on the individual speaker as shown below: Please help!

QUESTION 1: Why doesn’t MOVE 2 have TV Dialog Adjustment like other speakers?  I sent my son off to college with a MOVE 2.  He thinks Sonos clunky. I’m trying to show him it’s user friendly.  His TV has Bluetooth connectivity so he connected the MOVE 2 to it.  But, TV sound is delayed.  He says- dad, I told you. Sonos isn’t user friendly.  No, he doesn’t want a big soundbar or subwoofer for his room. He wants his MOVE 2 to work. QUESTION 2: why doesn’t MOVE 2 have a battery management and bypass feature to avoid wrecking the battery if it’s plugged in 99% of the time?  

Can't set surround distance after I do quick trueplay. My right surround is more than 10 feet away and my left surround is 5 feet away. Both are set to more than 10 feet after I do quick trueplay. I can't even adjust the surround level because of the different distance between the two. Plz give users of quick trueplay the option to adjust the surround distance.

I’m beyond annoyed that these speakers randomly recognize the wifi, one speaker plays at a time OR they will no longer group and strangely enough, 2 different songs will play at the same time while using Spotify even though I have one account. it is absolute madness!They used to be paired. They used to work! what happened???

My Samsung TV only has hDMI ARC and no optical port. As the Ray is optical only, will a converter like this work https://amzn.eu/d/fyaQpn7Or am I best just getting a Beam? 

Sonos deletes songs from my playlists and substitutes them for other songs in My Music. Why, and how do I stop this happening?

I have a new Sonos setup (2 x Era 100 speakers with a Sub Mini).  It works perfectly with my iPhone 16 over Airplay 2, and on my mac mini it works fine using the Sonos App.However, my mac mini refuses to connect to it via the system “sound” settings.  I can see the Sonos, but when I try to connect it just fails.  I also cannot cast any audio using the Apple Music app, or any third party all for that matter.I have tried restarting both the Mac and Sonos system to no avail.  Ideally, I want to use the Sonos speakers as my Mac speakers, for all music/musics, etc.  I cannot be restricted to use within the Sonos app.They are both on the same network, so that is not the issue.  Any ideas?

I am using Sonos1.added MyTuner as a service to Sonos.like to Play Station MyTuner: FilSwissFM.This station does not play via Sonos.using MyTuner as stand alone app, FilSwissFM plays through MyTuner.please find the reason why Sonos can not play this station and correct the problem.

Have the S2 app on an iPad and iPhone. iPhone looses the height setting on my ERA 300’s and the Sub Audio setting on sub-mini multiple times per day. 300’s are a stereo pair with the sub mini. The settings stay as set on my iPad. What causes that? All things are updated.

I have been using my Play 5 Gen 1 for a couple of months now and thought I would share some thoughts. I managed to find an excellent used, boxed model will all documents and original leads as I am on a limited budget. I owned one previously, but sold it chasing the holy grail of hi-res and voice control!Why this model? I live in a nursing home with very poor WI-FI and find the Play 5 Gen 1 with S1 Controller connects to the poor WI-FI with ease and complete stability. I have borrowed later Sonos speakers to try and they do not like nursing home Wi-Fi systems. Yes, the older Play 5 limits you to cd quality, but I doubt my old ears can now appreciate higher quality 🙂. For me, the sound is mellow and easy, with just enough clarity. Because of my condition, I listen for several hours a day every day. I have several SOnos Ray used tor speakers connected to TVs via optical cable. All TVs have IR remotes. But Sonos Ray is not able to learn the volume keys from most of the TVs.When setting up the Ray it clearly registers the signal from the remote (the LED light up on the Ray) but the app continiues to fail and saying it does not register when prompted to press 3 times.I have read it could be due to the remotes using the common “Toggle Bit” feature. So trying the tips related to covering the remote IR diode every second press to get the Ray to learn the remote with no succes. 

First this small entry from the ‘Spotify’ community for the background. I seem to not be the only one struggling with it: Spotify will play track A, continue to B.Then it stops, while showing it's still playing A, but at the end.If I hit 'Next' it will play B again.So, I have to hit 'Next' again to go to track C.It will play C, then D.And then it stops, showing it's still playing C.I have to again hit 'Next' twice to go to E. I have the above problem, and after a few weeks of non-interrupted music, it started again.And I think it has to do with Sonos alarms, or with a lack of proper communication between Sonos and Spotify. Below are:

I’ve got 2 Era 300s that I’m trying to use as rear speakers in a surround setup. They’re mounted on the wall right above my sofa (about 90 cm directly above my head/listening position), as I had some custom brackets made so the speakers can point straight down toward the listening position.The issue is that the system won’t let me set them up like this – it throws an error as soon as the speakers are placed facing down toward the floor. Has anyone run into this before or found a workaround? Hope some of you guys can help 😊  

I had all my Sonos on one app. I was able to group all my speakers in any scheme. Now I am setting up my system after getting back in house after flood and I have to run two apps. What happened. Two of my speakers are “not compatible” with sonos1 app. I lost my capability to group my speakers    I have called Sonos and spent time in phone deleting system adding app adding speakers again resetting speakers deleting apps adding other apps WTH. I also can’t use Sonos I had on my laptop. Web app doesn’t work. Sonos app doesn’t work sonos1 app doesn’t work  what happened?I am so frustrated over such a simple thing to do  

My phone is not capable of iOS 17, so I can’t download the update to the Sonos app. How can I then “add a device” (2 x era 300’s)?thanks

I have a multi-zone Creston system with 2 Denon Amps that I’m looking to convert to Sonos.  I’m assuming i can connect to all my wired speakers and TV’s but what Sonos device(s) do i need to tie them all together (Port or other)?  How many do I need if I’m trying to establish 5 different zones?  Thank you for your insights.  Adam
