Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’ve seen variations of this problem specifically with spotify going back at least 4 years. Does anyone yet know if this is a sonos or spotify issue? In my case the service connects fine, but after 3 or 4 songs sonos starts skipping songs with a “file not found” error, and eventually stops after skipping several. I can correct it by manually pushing play on any song on the playlist and it resumes fine (for a short time).Based on what I’ve read elsewhere a few clarifications:affects both spotify only and mixed source playlists when spotify songs are included (and only breaks on spoitfy songs). I’m using spotify as the service within the sonos app. Phone or PC app does not make a difference. I’ve already unplugged and rebooted the entire sonos system I’ve removed and readded the spotify service No other service I use (including local NAS files) has this problem I have a very robust home ubiquity unifi wifi networ

Hi  I’ve been trying to add YT Music to Sonos S1 app but I’m getting Connection Error.  I’ve tried multiple times, logged out from the app and logged in again, uninstalled the Sonos S1 app and installed again.  Nothing helped.  I have other services added, Sverige Radio, Spotify, SoundCloud andd TuneIn.  Please advise how to resolve adding the YT Music service.Rgrds://Ingvaldur

They’ve had a long time to fix it, but its still unstable and lack elemental features. Have they learnt nothing? After trying to connect a new unit several times today I was left with several new rooms in the app, all unavailable because the unit crashes, but I can’t delete the rooms because the unit is not connected. Huh? Basic UX principles should be applied. 

My S1 set up includes 3 x S5 speakers. 2 are set up as a stereo pair and the 3rd as single room speaker. Over the past few weeks these speakers have started continually dropping their volume when the system is first used in the morning. Increasing the volume works, either by using the app or the volume buttons on the speakers, and corrects the volume for a short while and then it drops again. At the same time the lights briefly flash orange before returning to static white once the volume has dropped.  After an hour or so of use this settles down and the volume remains stable for the rest of the day. The other speakers in the system are not affected, several x  Play 1 and a Beam. I have tried unplugging them for a short while before plugging them back in and several times unplugged all the speakers and router but this hasn’t improved the issue. I also have a Roam which operates separately using the new App.All system updates have been made. Recently, I’ve had trouble with nbc—I can’t hear the sound from the sports announcers. If the ref speaks, I can hear him. On those same broadcasts, some commercials aren’t playing all the audio either. It had always worked in the past, but stopped a week or two ago. 

Is my SONOS ROAM dead if I have a steady red light at the bottom of the product when plugged for charging? Light goes away when I disconnect the power cord. I have tried a reset but it doesn’t help

For the past couple of months, I’ve been having trouble with Audible. I’ve been an Audible user since 2000, and I’ve played it on Sonos for almost that long. It is only recently that I’ve had a problem. The book will suddenly stop. Sometimes it will start again but at random places. It could pause at 3 minutes into the chapter, then start again at 2 minutes from the end. When it starts again, the timer shows it is still at 3. When it gets to the end, it might go to the next chapter or back to a random place in the chapter.A couple of months ago, it wasn’t this bad. It would just pause and then resume on its own. I thought that one of the speakers heard its wake word. I have two Sonos smart speakers. I also have several Google and Amazon smart speakers around the house. I no longer think that is the problem. That is why I’m asking the community for help.

Hi allmy beam keeps dropping out after a couple hours of watching TV. Connected to 65” Samsung Tv (18months old) sound just disappears and I have to switch it back to TV sound, unplug the beams power, plug back in and it comes back again. All updates have been performed and I’ve even laid 7m Ethernet cable under the floor and wired it in to my router so I know it’s not a WiFi issue.  any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

I have an ARC Ultra in my living room and a Ray in my bedroom.When I use the iOS app to try to start music in the bedroom, I get an error the like “The connection to the server timed out” or “Something went wrong.”When I use the app to try to start music everywhere, it plays in the living room but not the bedroom.Once I have it playing in the living room, I can use the voice assistant to group everywhere, and once it’s playing everywhere I can stop it in the living room and keep playing it in the bedroom.What’s going on? Can I fix it or do I just live with the workaround?

I have a sonos system in which there is a duplicate room (living room). The pair of sonos 1's appear in one room while the sonos arc and sub appear the other.

One SL and Era 100 can each be paired with Beam Gen2 as rear speakers. My question is: Can I pair them in a mixed configuration, using one One SL and one Era 100?

I had some network issues and had to reset my wifi router. Since do this, I’ve been logged out of my Sonos app on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and I can’t log in again. When I hit the link to log in, the app opens a blank page in my browers and stops there. Occasionally I do get to a page where I can enter my email and password, but it won’t progress any further from that. 

Hi,I just got an ARC and my 2015 Samsung TV [ua60ju6400wxxy] has finally connected using the method mentioned on the thread below BUT now there is no sound coming from apps on the Firestick [HDMI port 4]!?!? Anyone got any advice with these Anynet+(HDMI-CEC) options on the Samsung? I'm lost and totally disheartened after a few hours messing with Optical adapter etc…. :( Surely I don't need to buy a new TV? Or do I? Thanks in advance

Always comes: Connection to Spotify was disconnected????I then have to switch to the Spotify app, the title Search there and then start the song Radio. Then it works.But it's cumbersome and it used to work via the Sonos app 🤔“ I have carried out further tests and can now say with a high probability that it is probably a current bug of the Sonos function "Title Radio", which is implemented by some services.I tested it with Deezer and Spotify each via the current versions of the Sonos app for iOS and Android.Result with Sonos App on iOS:- Title Radio works with Spotify- Title Radio does not work with DeezerResult with Sonos App on Android:- Title Radio does not 

I would like to request the following feature:Let’s say you have many rooms with speakers in each of these. You are currently playing music in one room, but are going to one of your other rooms. In this situation, you are currently able to continue listening to the same music in this new room, by holding down the play/pause button, and grouping with the other room, but since you have already left this other room, it would be nice if you could instead just transfer the music from the other room, to the new room, and not have it continue to also play in the first room.I suggest implementing this by e.g. a double tap on the play/pause button, while holding down the button during the second tap. So if you just long press on this button, it groups with the previous speaker, but if you double tap + long press, it transfers music to this room (basically grouping with one of the rooms already playing, and when you release, removes all other speakers from this group)I pe

I have a Sonos Amp connected to:[speakers] Martin Logan XTW6-LCRs as my left and right channel [subs] Dual Martin Logan Dynamo 1600X connected using an RCA splitterMy subs randomly turn off, especially at higher volumes. The music will start fine for a few seconds to maybe a couple of minutes and then all of a sudden the subwoofers stop but the L/R channels still pump audio. I then have to wait some minutes, restart music or even restart the amp to get the subs working again. If only one of the sub is connected (either one of them) it works completely fine.I understand that this is not an officially supported use case, but I was told that an RCA splitter should not cause any trouble since the subwoofer

I am an avid UK based BBC Radio 3 listener and until last week constantly had my two Sonos systems linked to the BBC sounds app as a connected service via BBC Sounds. Now it’s stopped linking. I can play BBC Sounds and then Airplay to one Sonos Ray speaker and sub but not to the Play:5. Anyone know what’s changed. I assume some software upgrade. Will it be fixed?

I have a problem in my sonos arc ,like when i play any song in my sonos arc there is a sond that come like “crackling” sound. And it’s specially comes when bass is higher or i increase bass in arc so give me some permanent solution.

Received my Sonos move 2 yesterday. It does not charge when sitting in the base. It does charge when I plug in a C charger plug. I made sure the two prongs on the base are making contact with the speaker, and it still does not charge. Has anybody else out there had issues with the charging base?

Has anyone else experienced volume changing when switching between sound sources?

I've got a pair of the Sonos by Sonance architectural garden speakers. Came home tonight and the speaker grill had fallen off one of them onto the patio, clicks back into place no problem. It's Halloween so it must have been ghosts. Only logical explanation. However the little black plastic clip in plate that covers the cables has also come out and I cannot find it anywhere. I'm concerned that with it not covering the wiring the weather will damage them.I need a replacement plastic plate, clip, thing, with sonos written on it. Help!

Recent update to Sonos app on Android and now cannot see controls anywhere except within the app itself. No lock screen controls, nothing in notifications bar, physical volume buttons don't control volume. Anyone else experiencing this? Pixel 5 with Android 14.
