Subject: Help Connecting Sonos Ray to TCL TV - Setup QuestionsHello Sonos Community,I recently purchased a Sonos Ray soundbar and need some help connecting it to my TCL TV.Setup Details:    •    Product: Sonos Ray soundbar    •    TV: TCL TV    •    Connection method: Optical cable My Questions:    1.    I want to confirm the proper connection process using the optical cable that came with the Ray    2.    What audio settings should I configure on my TCL TV for optimal performance?    3.    Will I be able to control the soundbar volume with my TV remote, or do I need to use the Sonos app?    4.    Are there any specific audio format settings (PCM vs Dolby Digital) I should select on my TV?I initially thought the Ray had HDMI ARC but learned it only has optical connectivity. Just want to make sure I set everything up correctly for the best sound quality.Any guidance from the community or Sonos suppor

The Sonos App is completely unresponsive. I have tried deleting app, reinstalling, turning off WiFi, turning on but the App still is useless for me.

Hi, is it possible to play/use a vinyl player & link to my Sonos One? Or do I need, say I Sonos Roam to link or use a as bridge to play via Bluetooth?  thanks in advance 

In all honesty, this old thread is spot on to what happened to me the other day: SONOS Arc: Loud Random and Bone Chilling Noise | Sonos CommunityOut of NOWHERE the system went bonkers, maximized the volume and I can only repeat the wording from the original poster: “Its the most unsettling noise I can imagine, instantly gives me chills and even as I'm typing this, I'm getting chills just thinking about it.”I managed to stop the madness through the app after 15 seconds or so. Resuming the current Spotify track also resumed the inferno and of course you can´t pause the “music” immediately again since the app becomes non-responding for a few seconds until the silence comes to save you. I´ve been using my Sonos system more or less daily the last four-five years or so with problems limited to

 my system was working properly for long time but totally disconnected recently. So i tried to set up new system and reset all devices but still cant build new system despite that sonos app confirmed every new connected device. Previously i saw all devices connected and i could build theathre set up for tv but now i cant even see all devices…

Hi! I recently bought two Era 300s, upgrading from my Sonos Ones. I paired them with my Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. I was really excited to test them together with my system. I played a Dolby Atmos track through Apple Music, and while it sounded good, it honestly wasn’t anything special. This really surprised me considering the huge size difference between the Ones and the Era 300s. I’m an experienced Sonos user, and I’ve always believed that most issues people have with their setups are self-inflicted until today. When I listened closely to my Eras, I noticed that only the side and top speakers were producing sound, while the front and rear drivers were completely silent. I started testing different settings, adjusting the TV and music levels, switching between full playback modes, and even removing Trueplay calibration, which actually made the upward-firing speakers louder. With calibration enabled, they were almost completely silent.

I have old products but they still work and sound great so I really dont want to upgrade if I dont have to.  I have an old play 1 and Play 5 (from like 2015 or something).  I just cancelled xfinity and switched to a t mobile gateway.  It is connected to an eero mesh wifi system.  I connected my play 5 directly to the wifi router via an ethernet cable.  by holding down the mute and play button on each speaker it started playing music but the app cant connect to the system or find any products.  I have tried rebooting the modem, router, and speakers but still no luck.  Luckily I like the music that is playing but I have no way to control it since the app cant find the products.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

My recommend tracks and albums on tidal are up to date with new music, but when I access via sonos the content hasn't changed in months. I have reauthorised etc but no change? Any advice welcome 

I cannot connect my SONOS products to my new WIFI Router (Asus RT-BE58U) which I made sure was Sonos compatible. Have router set to 2.4 GHz; have tried resetting router and modem. When I select “update network” and get “let’s update wifi settings prompt….with list of speakers. I select and add a speaker, and (after bouncing balls) press join button and finally enter password. At this point prompt says “make sure you reusing the correct password.” Have tried this many, many times with most of the speakers in the list…same result. I know password is correct as I  have added laptop, desktop and printer to the network with this password. Next thought, add Sonos boost to setup, Same result???

My playbar and sub work fine on streaming but they drop out when playing my music library, all the rest of my speakers do fine . I ve got two speakers hard wired. Sonos sucks so bad but i m heavily invested 

Hey there! A few weeks ago I moved to another department, so I noticed than the volume of the spekaer it’s lower than a normal use on the another department. The room size it’s very similar and the wall material too.  For example, on the another departen used level 30 and on the new the normal volume it’s level 55-60. The Atmos sounds a little lower than stereo. I tried factory reset and setup trueplay to many times but nothing works. Someone haped a simmilar issue?

Since I returned from a short holiday this week the (updated) apps on my iPhone and iPad do no longer show my music services (or recently played - but that does not bother me as much). I see the app looking for the services (first picture) but after a few seconds it just gives up and just shows blank avatars (that do not work) for the services. This makes the app useless. Has anyone come across this phenomenon? Did you find a cure?

In order to connect my LG Smart TV to my Arc do I need an additional HDMI cable? 

I have just had to reconnect my Play1 and Play3 and all of me old SONOS playlists have been removed ?? Can i get them back ??

Beautiful, sturdy headphones. The case is excellent. They're intuitive to use and have excellent sound quality, even for an inexperienced ear like mine. The only thing I'm not so thrilled with right now is that the earcups make me sweat over time and cause some problems when wearing glasses: the earcups press hard, causing the arms to shift into an unnatural position and making it difficult to put my glasses back in place.I haven't tried other headphones from the same family yet to see if I'd have the same problem with competing headphones.So I can say I'm very happy with my purchase: they're just a stone's throw away from excellence.

Hi, I have a Sony KD-AG965 I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra today. It will not connect to the tv no matter what I try, I have done all the trouble shooting things I can find online. Full reset, power cycles of both, HDMI cable change, Bravia Sync off and power off etc. The tv know there is something connected to HDMI eARC but then I go to set up it can’t play a sound nor will the app detect a CEC connection. Just says CEC not connected.Anyone had these issues?my next options are to try the bar on another TV and another bar on my TV.

Hi All,I fear there is no solution to this but I’m hoping someone has a good idea. I have a playbar with a connected sub and surround speakers. No matter what I try… the Nintendo Switch 2 will only output to stereo which is super disappointing. I’ve tried to set the tv to passthrough the audio signal but no luck there. Screenshot below of the petulant screen displayed by the Nintendo. Appreciate an old soundbar but it’s been solid for a decade and works great with the PS5!  

I’m using a Sonos Era 100 stereo pair connected via Bluetooth to a Google TV 4K streamer. I’m really impressed with the sound quality, but there’s an issue — the audio sometimes stutters, as if the left and right speakers momentarily hiccup. It feels like a plane gliding smoothly but suddenly hitting air turbulence. This happens about once every 5–10 minutes.Is there any way to fix this?no issue with wifi streaming, 

I’ve been a loyal Sonos user for years. Two or three years ago, everything worked flawlessly — I could ask Alexa to play music, group rooms instantly, and enjoy a reliable system that just worked.Now, it feels like a never-ending battle just to get sound playing. Speakers constantly drop or need to be re-paired. Alexa almost never works — I keep getting “station not found” or similar messages — so I always have to open the app manually to start music. Even then, certain speakers show up while others disappear and then reappear minutes later.I’ve spent hours trying every fix I can find online: rebooting the router, reinstalling the Sonos app, re-pairing speakers, resetting Alexa, rebooting devices, toggling between my regular Wi-Fi and 5G network… nothing provides lasting stability.It’s incredibly frustrating that a system that once felt bulletproof has become this unreliable. I really hope Sonos acknowledges the ongoing connectivity and app instability

Sonos Arc here.  Pretty much at my wits end on setting up my Sonos Arc using Trueplay.  Trueplay worked fine right out of the box.  Since then have rearranged some furniture in the room and wanted to run Trueplay again.  Now has background noise problems when I try to run it.  Everything turned off, everything has been rebooted, access to my iPhone 14 microphone is fine, but every time I try to run it there is always a background noise error message. Nothing is running.  No one is making any noise.  Very annoying.  The one thing I have not done is to call Sonos.  That will probably be my next step.

Hello all. My father in law has a play 3 in his dining room, playbar in the the lounge and we bought him a play 1 for his garage.Up till now he has run home wifi with a sonos BOOST in a room closest to his garage to help the play 1 work.  However recently he wanted more wifi signal in his garage and workshop so he bought a uniFi wifi switch which by the sounds of it creates a network extension into his garage. Now the Play 1 works for a while and is spotted on the app. But then starts to drop out and then eventually sonos app can't find the play 1 at all.  To add to the mystery he plugged in a play 3 in the garage and it worked faultlessly and has yet to drop out or disappear.Neither one of us are network orientated. So any help on why the play1 is misbehaving would be great. His words are below of the issue: "Ref sonosHouse WiFi is supplied by Vodafone. Cable from Vodaphone router to UniFi switch. So h

New Sonos devices drastically reduce my wifi speed. Like a lot. Can’t work. And yes, my router and service are fine.
