Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I just downloaded the third-party app Sonify which released earlier this week and from a first impression it is much faster than the official app AND provides lockscreen controls on my iPhone incl. physical iphone volume buttons for volume control! How can it be that a third-party app does it better and gets released to the app store which somewhat suggests that lockscreen controls are not only reserved for Apple and Spotify apparently… 

Same or similar issue has been raised before but I could not find a solution that worked for me.I want to play tunes I have stored in My Library through my Sonos system.I subscribed to Apple Music (though all these tunes are downloaded from CDs I purchased), I added Apple Music to my Sonos list of music and content.I now see that some tracks (a lot) are greyed out and not playable through Sonos. They are playable through Apple Music.I do this through an iPhone.I was trying to resynch/reindex (?) Apple Music to Sonos as I recall having to do it when I first set it up but I cannot remember where to do that (if even this would help).I saw some info about Apple Music needing to recognize my tracks (if they don't have it in their catalog, then that might explain why it’s greyed out) but these are the tracks I am looking to play, these are “mine” if you will.Many thanks in advance

My old Sonos play 3 won’t connect to my WiFi anymore without a intranet cable, they work once connected but when I unplug they stop working, any advice?

I have two new Roam2 speakers that I would like to connect to my outdoor tv.  I have an existing system that I use inside with playbar, sub woofer, surround sound, and ceiling speakers.   I'm struggling on how to add the new speakers to the outside system.  If I use bluetooth, only one speaker can be connected at a time

Hi, My playbar seems to have developed an issue with decoding audio coming in over the optical connection. Not constant, develops after about 30s of working fine, then stutters for 2-5 seconds every minute or so.  so far I’ve tried:changing all output settings from pass through/pcm.changed input settings through all of the options.have tested each possible combo of input/output.Swapped optical cableschanged to an external ARC to Optical converterremoved surrounds (they weren’t stuttering as it was only playing 2.0 audio, it’s all on the playbar, but others had suggested it as a fix) All of the above still resulted in regular stuttering. It reduced if I used PCM but did not disappear. I have tested the optical out with an old digital/analog decoder and had no problems, I have also plugged the arc into my Sonos amp and have no stuttering with that (that was previously plugged into the external arc/optical converter to verify that audio was clean)everything I’ve done points to an issue wi

I see Apple has recently enabled a direct import from Spotify, previously you would have had to use a 3rd Party App (eg SongShift) to migrate, I assume is now a whole lot easier to migrate Spotify playlists:https://support.apple.com/en-us/118249Edit: The Apple Music transfer is actually powered by SongShift.

I have an Epson videobeam and every time I try to integrate it into a Sonos system via the HDMI cable between the videobeam and the Beam speaker I have trouble when I switch sources of sound at the Beamer. What is the seamless way to do it

This is a strange one and I haven't found anything about it online. I have several speakers/zones in my house. They work fine as groups or independently with every Sonos service except Amazon Music.For some reason, Amazon Music only plays out of 2 of my speakers, which are part of a zone that has 3. And all speakers indicate that they are playing but only a specific 2 emit any sound. The 2 speakers they play from are a Playbar and some in ceiling speakers via connect amp. It's my only Playbar but I do have other speakers using connect amps. So it doesn't seem to be a device specific issue.Bizarre stuff. Anyone heard of anything like this?

I am using the current Sonos app (Controller for Mac OS S2 Version 17.2) on a 2020 iMac running MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1. I have an Arris Model NVG578HLX router connected to a TP-Link TL-SG105 Ethernet switch. I have a Sonos Five connected to the switch via Ethernet cable. The Five (left) is paired with a second Five (right) and a Sonos Sub. I have five Sonos One SLs in various rooms. All speakers are showing they are in Wireless Mode 0 (SonosNet). I am having a problem with the speakers cutting out randomly, even if I just am playing music through 2 or 3 speakers instead of the whole system. This was happening when they were on Wi-Fi, before I connected the Five to the switch. I thought changing from Wi-Fi to SonosNet would resolve the issue but it has not. Note: the Sonos app and each speaker’s firmware is up to date. When I play Sonos Radio, all speakers play as expected. The issue appears when I am playing Apple Music, specifically my personal library mirrored in Apple Music via iTunes

Hi, new to Sonos Home Theater and Home Theater in General.I am building a house where the 65” television will be in a space that is 20’ wide by about 20’ deep with a 15’ flat ceiling.  The rear of the space opposite the television is the kitchen so the actual room is much deeper.  The furniture used for television watching (sofa and chairs) will be arranged in a U shape approximately 15’ x 15’ to rear of sofa’s and chairs within the larger living area space.  The floor will be tile with throw rugs.  There is a large glass sliding door on one of the side walls.  My question is whether the Sonos Arc Ultra Home Theater setup will work well within such a larger volume.  Will there be undesirable echo’s, will the 15’ ceilings be a problem?  With the planned furniture layout the rear speakers will have to be place in the rear corners of living area space, or about 20 feet to rear and off to the side of the television on cabinets or small table. Hi all,I have been using Sonos to stream music from my local media server with Plex for the past two years without problems. For a couple of weeks, I have been experiencing playback issues.I can browse my Plex music library without any issues in the official Sonos app When I select a song for playback, the song loads in the playback UI but frequently fails to play with the "Unable to play [track] - the connection to Plex was lost" I say frequently, because from time to time songs start playing correctly. Sometimes the error appears 20 seconds into the song Streaming from the Plexamp app to Sonos works perfectly fineI analyzed my Plex logs and can confirm that Plex is set up correctly. If the Plex setup was the issue, I would also always be unable to play a song and see an error in the Plex verbose logs.A few things among many I checked:NAT Loopback is supported by the router Manual port forwarding is allowed on the router The firewall is not blocking the connection between Sonos and Pl

Just purchased a Sonos Ray and got it in mail today and went to setup and it’s giving no indication that it is powered. No light, sound, and not showing up on the app. How do I fix this issue or is it defective.

Greetings from Rome, Italy :-)I have a question for the experts, because surfing the internet I've always found conflicting answers.On the right wall, I have a door with a glass panel in the center, so I'd like to eliminate the problem...As you all know, our Sonos systems "reflect" the side channels of audio and the Atmos effects onto the walls.For this reason, I've always thought that curtains weren't a good idea, because they would absorb these reflections, ruining the audio experience.But obviously, a surface like glass isn't a good one either...On the internet, I've found confirmation that glass isn't good, and they recommend "closing the curtains." But that seems contradictory to me! Or am I wrong? Absorbent curtains shouldn't be good for Sonos audio, since they could then affect the side reflections...Can any experts clarify this for me?And then, more importantly, how do I solve the door glass problem? I'm renting a house, so I can't make any majo

Hello, I have an issue where my Sonos system, a Beam, 2 Era 300, and a sub are not able to play.I have a Sony A80K OLED, the Beam is plugged in via hdmi to the Earc input. I also have a 4k apple TV and a PC for gaming. Prior to having the PC I had a PS5 and don't remember having any issues, but currently no matter what input/device I'm using I will get a message stating the external audio system is unavailable the only thing that seems to help is unplugging the TV power cable, I have tried many different settings on the TV, the PC, etc. I can probably provide specific answers to specific questions but I'm getting so tired of not being able to enjoy Sonos sound with my TV and gaming. Please help.

Hi everyone,I’m planning to upgrade my 1st gen Sonos Connect, which has been connected to my HiFi for years and has worked flawlessly (and still does) alongside a few other Sonos speakers around the house. I’ve been using the S1 app all this time without any issues, so the recent S2 app problems haven't affected me.That said, I rarely use the Sonos app unless I’m grouping speakers, or setting new speakers up. My main go-to has been Spotify Connect. But with Spotify now increasing prices in Australia, still no CD-quality streaming, AI-generated tracks flooding my playlists, and an app that's become cluttered with podcasts and audiobooks, I’m ready to switch to Tidal or Apple Music for a better app experience, and better sound quality – especially through my HiFi. I’m currently trialling Apple Music, but there’s basically no support on the S1 app.To get the most out of either service, I know I’ll need to replace the Connect — and that brings me to the Sonos Port.I’ve been on the fence fo

Just adding this thread to see if a solution has been found. As Im sure many others have experienced, in my Sonos app, not all songs in my playlists are available to play. Many songs are greyed out.  Lets get some urgency behind this problem and find a solution!’

I have recently moved and have brought some but not all of my system with me. I have a new router. When setting up, I can see the components I want to add (sub and play 1s) but when I try to add them I am asked to sign in as system owner. I then end up in a loop and can’t add anything. Any suggestions?

I’d like to add a second sub mini. I use my Sonos system for music, so a larger ported sub doesn’t make much sense. I have a lot of experience with subwoofer installation and the benefit of two smaller subs almost always wins out against one larger sub for music, even though it probably won’t be as loud, it will simply sound better in more listening locations of a room.  I wonder if this is possible or if there is a feature request option to forward to Sonos.If you haven’t tried this before, the best way I can describe it is a less pronounced version (since lower frequency sounds aren’t directional) version to one speaker alone, and then adding a second for a stereo pair. Room resonance issues can create peaks and valleys in different locations. A single subwoofer will have the same room resonance issues in said location even if you triple its size. A second sub does wonders to smooth this out so more parts of the room have an even, pleasant bass. I’m really surprised it’s not a featur

Trying to re establish my wireless Sonos 1 speakers (4 total)

It's past time to sack the software development team, they must be working for the competition, there is no other explanation. The app has got worse again. I will not invest any further in Sonos hardware until the app is back to where it was. Frankly it is crap. I feel conned. Great hardware with crap software. What the hell are you idiots doing? Sack the developers and let a third party in or gold. 

Sonos Move only plays Sonos Chime on alarms.  Fix?
