Just bought the Sonos ace headphones and I have to have the volume set at 100 to hear it tidy. Done all the trouble shooting and updates but still the same. ????
sonos ace low volume

I guess this thread will perhaps be moved to the correct section of the forum later by the Mods.
I do wonder if the volume-level between the Sonos Soundbars and their Ace Headset is indirectly related to all the potential TV’s out there that can be connected to Sonos over HDMI-ARC/Optical, as the different TV’s I have around the Home seem to output audio at different levels. That said, on average my Ace is usually somewhere around the 75% volume level when using TV Swap (that’s usually loud enough for me) and that can vary by TV audio ‘input’ type too - PCM/Dolby Digital/DTS.
On the other hand my ‘Sony’ Headphones over a (different) Bluetooth link to the same TV/Audio Source can sound just as loud at a 40% volume level (or thereabouts) and it does make me feel that the Sonos headset should be louder or have its volume curve altered, but that must be far easier said than done, as some music audio sources, in particular, can be rather loud, even just above the 50% volume level for the Ace - I don’t want to damage my (old) ears, so I prefer to err on the side of caution and so I’m fine with how things stand at the moment. I guess if 100% volume level is enough for people, then there’s not too much to complain about here. If it’s not enough, then, assuming it’s not a hearing issue, or faulty product, I would perhaps contact Sonos Support and see if there is anything they can test/suggest to improve the matter.
