My controls on my Sonos app is not working. I cannot hit the Play button on any of my speakers to play music. I updated my app and Sonos app on my computer. The only speaker to come back is Move. The other 9, the Play button is grayed out, unable to play anything. Do I need to go to each speaker and unplug & plug back in to reset them?

Kind of. It’s much more likely that your router isn’t communicating properly with them. Unplug them all, including the one that is working, then reboot your router. Wait two minutes, then plug all of them back in. They should all reconnect with your router, there is absolute no need to factory reset them (never, ever do that without direction from Sonos, and it would be pretty rare). You may need to wait a couple of minutes for them all to reconnect to the router, so don’t immediately open your controller, give them a minute or two before testing.

Post back if this doesn’t work for you, but if I’m reading the situation correctly, it will work.

Have you tried Check for Updates in Settings/General Settings/System Updates?

If they aren’t showing up in the controller, they’re unlikely to be accessed to receive an update of firmware, unfortunately. It isn’t a terrible thought though, given the OP, who only mentioned updating the controller, and not the speakers as well. I’d be tempted to wire all the speakers to the router, if I felt that was the case… at least the controller should see them, I think.

We’ll need to wait and see.
