My Sonos bar has a doorbell sound can not shut off

Hi,my system contains of several IKEA Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers. I used to listen to music from Amazon Music Unlimited.Out of a sudden playback is refused. When I search for titles/playlists/stations I can find them but when hitting the play-button the selected device empties its playlist and it refuses to start playback.Other services (Sonos Radio, Spotify,TuneIn, Local Media) play without problems.Amazon Music playback on my PC (Browser) and mobile app work without any problems.Devices with still set Amazon playlists don’t start playback either.I reauthenticated the Amazon account in my Sonos App but this brought no change.Is there a way to debug this? This does not seem to be a generic issue since I found no recent posts about this specific behavior.Best regardsc4t0r

I came back from a weekend away to a white flashing light on top of the soundbar, after unplugging it and turning it back on it still not working I decided to try a factory reset, but nothing changes when I hold the infinity button down.Is there another way to fix this apart from deciding that I now have a very expensive paperweight?

I still have problems with login in to the sonos app, because its asking for the system owner. But what do I do?  Is this still a problem.?  I have two systems in two different countries???What do i do

After I open the app, I can see in the ‘Recently Played’ grey box at the top of the screen the text ‘Sign in as the System Owner to see this content’.  Once I tap ‘Sign In’ it takes me to sonos.com to sign in. I sign in there and it returns me to the App with no change.  Still unable to see ‘Recently Played’ with the same sign in request showing?

In the new version of the app I can no longer log into my system to adjust the bass and modify my system. Thank all for the answers. 

Hi I am Garry and been using Sonos for around 12 years now Over the last couple of years we are getting lots of niggly problems I have a range of products new and old most of my original system has been replaced/ upgraded but recently we are having problems with some rooms dropping out and Sonos can’t find them then 2 days later they reappear “very frustrating” never used to get any problems the system used to work seemlessly ANY IDEAS ?? Thanks 

Hi, can the SONOS Arc withstand any sound volume ? Can those explosive sounds blast or damage the speaker ? How about the other SONOS speakers like the sub and the surround ERAS? If the speakers were blasted , what would be the signs ?Please advise

Watching a new movie on Netflix and the app says 5.1. Arc, Sub gen 3 with Era 100’s on the rear surround setup. No sound from the Era 100’s despite App showing 5.1.  Checked TV and it’s set to Dolby audio.  Any suggestions?

I recently bought a pair of Era 300’s. I was able to setup the speakers fine however, the streaming service I use is Apple Music and for some reason it doesn’t come up in the list of connected services. I have search manually and looked for the entire content service list . Can someone help me figure out why Apple Music doesn’t come up on my app??

Hi- anyone know if there’s a fix for Sonos Roam not charging. It was working perfectly then all of a sudden stopped charging. Nothing I do will let it get any charge or even get enough power to do a reset.  I have two Roams and I’m using the right power adapter and sonos cord. One Roam is charging fine and the other just has a flashing orange light of death.  I have had it on charge for 2 days and can’t get it to respond at all except with the orange light after pushing the button. I’ve called support but just end up on hold for a long time. I’m on hold now as I write this. 

If I plug one end of a cable into the digital out jack and the other end into USB on my computer with Audacity recording software, will I get a digital signal that I can save on my computer?

I have a Sonos Playbar connected via LAN. It suddenly disappeared from the App. No sound from PlaybarThe white status light is on (not blinking)App cannot find the playbar, when I search for itIf I power down the playbar the white light goes off, if I power it up again the white light goes on again.Playbar does not re-appear in the app, still no soundReset to factory settings does not work (power down, push play and volume up button at the same time and hold during power up). Instead of the status light turning orange and green blinking, it turns directly white (no blinking). I have done this factory reset many times before, and it was working at that time.I see on my router that the playbar is connected and talking to my router, because of the blinking light on the network connection that is linked to the playbar.I have no options anymore to solve this issueWho can help?

Since the new "improved" app (designed by someone with no technical knowledge whatsoever) my Sonos products cut out endlessly and or between rooms as well. It's not my wifi as I have 3 different Sonos accounts in different locations and they all do the same. One on my boat, Sonos 1 at a house and Sonos at main residence. (1st world problem I know) BUT it just isn't good enough when I've invested £1000s in kit. On boat cuts out every minute or switched between. BEAM AMP OR Roam or One At home shifts between upto 6 different zones and or just cuts out. It's utter garbage. When will this be fixed ? Wifi on boat is >50mpsAt home it's >300mps 

I recently got new WiFi and was able to successfully connect my other Sonos One devices via WiFi. My older Play:1 though wouldn't factory reset so, based on other questions & answers here I connected it via Ethernet to my router and was able to successfully reboot and add it to my system. The problem is that it wont get added to the WiFi and no matter how many times I go through the steps to “manage/update network” the device never pops up. I've tried unplugging it from the Ethernet and adding it but no dice. Trying to do a factory reset without the Ethernet connection doesn't work either. 

Currently my sonos 5 is physically plugged into the router by ethernet cable and my sonos 1 is paired with the 5. I have attempted to find a blutooth option instead but am unable to get this to work. Can i set this up without physical ethernet connection to the router?

RadioPlay is not available again

Hi all -  I have a new Wi-Fi network coming into the house - when I open the Sonos app obviously can’t find anywhere to connect however when I go to settings, I can’t see where I would normally click “update network” - I can’t find how to do this on the new App ? Can anyone help?! 

In the new desktop app, Sonos will play songs from my music library as it always has.  Towards the end of a song, though, I will frequently get a popup saying something like Unable to play, the song is not encoded correctly.  This happens after the song has played and does not interrupt the playback.  The message appears briefly, then vanishes.  The app will then move to the next track in the queue as expected.Setup:Room 1: Sonos Ray + 2x Play:1 + Sub. Room 2: Sonos Beam + 2x Play:1 + Sub. Each room connected to a television via fiber optic cable. Desktop app running on a Mac Mini M2 system under macOS Sonoma. Music library on a Linux server with access via Samba (CIFS). Music library is large, 14,000+ tracks. Tracks mostly FLAC, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz, some Mp3 and Apple M4a.  The encoding does not seem to matter.  The message will appear for any. WiFi networking throughout.Before the new app, I would sometimes get the unable to play due to encoding message, but it could always be traced to

I managed to get my music library back, without playlists, in July.  In late August Sonos updated and now I can’t get my music library back.  Even the Sonos Tech said I “did everything right” by following your posted procedure, and he tried multiple times - added the library successfully, but could not get Sonos to find any song in the library.Library is connectedPath is correct.Filer persons for Share are correct.BUT Sonos just shows “No selections are available” I don’t even know what that means.Interestingly, Sono’s plays music from my library on based on the ques I manually made and saved as “sonos favorites” in the Sonos System.  I don’t know what is going on. 

What happened to Sonos? Honestly I’m just curious at this point. I’ve never seen such good engineering hit the wall with ridiculously bad software. It’s hard to believe how bad the quality of Sonos app is now . My prayers and frustration go out to SONOS 

I've had my Sonos system for about 2 months now, but I notice that every so often it disconnects from the app and gets unconfigured, having to reset the entire system and reconfigure it with some kind of problems. How can I avoid this? My WiFi signal is 100%

I’m sitting on my couch trying to watch The Witcher using 2 Play 5s and 1 Play 1. They WILL NOT group despite multiple attempts, reboots etc. I just get a simple non descript message saying “could not connect” related to the SINGLE Play 1. This is just 1 problem of dozens since I was forced to adopt the s2 update turd that dropped in May.  I’ve just about given up. I’m embarrassed for Sonos. What a piece of crap this system has become. I’ve had people over to listen to music or watch tv crippled by lack of sound through my Sonos speakers. So I should say I am embarrassed for myself for choosing to invest in this hunk of cow dung known as Sonos.
