Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi community, I’m after some help please with Sonos/unifi. I’ve tried to follow the recommended configs and other articles, but think I have a “perfect storm” of things and I’m struggling to resolve. [NB, I’m a home enthusiast/tinkerer, and not an experienced networker, so struggling to work out next steps] Maybe there’s someone with experience based in Sydney, Au who can come and help diagnose on a paid engagement (Pls DM me if possible?) I have a “perfect storm” of three things combining and I simply can’t get Sonos to work anymore. Summary of Setup: Sonos: 13 devices (Room 1: Arc/Sub/Amp; Room 2: Arc/Sub/Amp; Room 3: Amp; Room 4: Amp; Room 5: Era100; Room 6: Five; Outdoors 1: Amp; Outdoors 2: Amp; + Move) Unifi network config as follows: Fibre Modem -> UDM Pro SE -> 24 Pro switch (via SFP+; switch set to STP @ 4096) -> 48 port switch (via SFP+; set to STP 8192) -> 7 x AP's via CAT6 all over the house) All device firmware up to date (Network 8.1.127) Up until recently, th

 I have the soundbar speakers  they are Bluetooth they hook to my WiFi network but I change my WiFi password I don’t know how to fix them I go to the app it won’t let me do nothing.  I change to a fiber network    What should do ?

I would like to request a new feature to be added to the Sonos S2 (NEW) App.  It would be very helpful if the “System Name” field was linked to the active Wi-Fi SSID in use.  For example it would be helpful if my system name automatically changed from “HOME SYSTEM” when logged in and active on Wi-Fi  “SSID1” and then changed to “COTTAGE SYSTEM” when logged in and active on Wi-Fi “SSID2”.  Thanks David Wilkinson

The sound bar stopped working after I turned off the TV and turned it back on.  Nothing had changed otherwise.

Dear Sonos,Given the situation we are currently in, it would be really helpful if you delivered some decent release notes with both application updates and speaker firmware. Confidence is not very high at the moment and it would make it better for people if they could at least see if there is something in there that might help them, or whether they’d rather stick with where they are for now. I know that’s probably not what the developers and support staff want, but I’m also not sure we want to continue being unwitting testers either… I think it’s also been long enough now that you ought to be able to give us some idea of what the fundamental changes are in this new ecosystem, and what some of the challenges are. 

Why cant we download the old App? My system all worked fine for years. Downloaded the new App and my system is now trash. Absolute trash. Also who takes away features on a new version? That is not progress. I used to praise Sonos now i would not recommend Sonos and I regret going all in with Sonos. This is all because someone decided to release a new App that does not work. Great Job ruining an excellent product! A+.  

What is the future of the old white Connect?  How long will it work?  How long will the S1 app work?

Hi all, I have 2 play 1 and a play 3 speaker. Got divorced moved house not touch the speakers for a while. Now there isn’t any support on the Sonos app anymore and I cannot connect the play 3 to anything? Just won’t work but the 2 play 1 speakers work fine. Please help 😁 

Ok I have posted before about my recent entry into Sonos world. BUT WOW the mismatch (black/white) pair is so good I have it on almost the whole day while working at home. I have S1 and stream FLAC from my NAS and also play radio station (Poet’s Corner my favourite). Totally worth AU$300 I paid for the clean pair on facebook. Hope the next time I upgrade I can pickup a pair of Gen2 at this price. So sorry to hear about people’s firmware and update issues.

So a bit of a weird set up here and looking for advice. I have a tv mounted to the ceiling and it can swivel 360. I I have a beam gen 1 that I have mounted under the tv (so it can swivel with the tv)that is almost directly in the center of the room.   on one end of the room is my couch and coffee table where I have the play 1s set up as the surrounds with the tv and beam turned  toward the couch. On the exact opposite wall I have my bed facing the couch so I can turn the tv 180 and watch tv in bed. What would be the best way to set ip the Sonos? It's a bit weird having the surround sound coming from the opposite wall directly in front of me instead of behind me when I'm laying in bed. 

Hi all,  my sub mini (with arc/2x play 1s as surrounds) doesn’t make any noise at all.  ********** Diagnostic raised.  I turned it all off and on again like a good IT geek.  I can’t remove the sub mini nor the surrounds from the arc, I get errors in both attempts.  I factory resetted the sub mini.  I updated the software.  I’m  out of ideas! After a few weeks of dealing with audio delay reaching upwards of 500ms, two nights ago my Sonos Ace suddenly decided they weren’t going to swap audio from the Ray soundbar any longer.I’ve tried power cycle, disconnect swap, reconnect swap, and factory reset.This is the most disappointing product I’ve ever purchased at this price point. These are supposed to be premium headphones and they can barely function.I will be seeking a refund for these headphones and will have to choose something else. This is incredibly disappointing. I have enjoyed Sonos speakers for many years. I can’t believe how poorly these perform under their intended use cases.

Hello Everyone,I have make a bad manipulation when I listened a podcast on my pair of Era 300.I have put accidentally the volume at maximum (100%) in one time and directly I have put the volume lower. I wanted to know if it's bad for the material ?Thank you for your feedback.

Why is it that every single time I sit down and wish to play music on my Sonos Arc, and Sonos Move speakers, I have to perform a factory reset on almost each of the speakers!!   Inakso gave to reboot the router!    If is so frustrating and I am so irritated and frustrated with this part of the experience.   30 minutes later once I get each speaker set up, it sounds really great!    Now I can’t even get one of the Move speakers to connect.   And I have to contact customer service with this crazy long number!’    I can’t believe this company and these speakers are still in business.     I have ordered the Sonos Boost WiFi device.  I have tried to put  the  speakers onto their own channel in my routers.  

I've solved all my problems with Sonis by taking a simple an unexpected step, buying Bose. I always like Bose and Sonos and found Sonos cloud integration better when launched, so we have invested heavily, as the design is also good, minimalist.  Unfortunately many just didn't work, and after many hours fiddling, again, I dug up annold Bose Soundlink mini... lo and behold!!!!! Since then I bought 3 new BOSE Soundlink products and the sound is great but most of all...they ALL WORK.... whereas now our Sonos Roam devices make a lovely little 🍊 orange light when you plug in a USB charger, but I don't have much use for a tiny orange light on a big black box or a puzzle involving buttons....  and don't want to spend anymore time holding down button sequences or reading troubleshooting guides so for me the solution is simple - GO BOSE ! Believe me, the time you are about to waste trying to fix these things isn't worth it, park it as a bad idea, this firm can't last much longer... like Intel a

The yellow light is always on and the connection is unavailable.I have been away on business for a few months and have not used Sonos Roam at home. When I came back and wanted to use it, I found that it could not connect. The yellow light was always on when charging, and it did not respond no matter what I did. How can I solve this problem? bluetooth and app internet

I have 4 Sonos products including a One with Alexa voice control . The microphone icon is greyed out and I have tried just about everything that is given as guidance on various sites. I have tried calling Sonos for support but twice, after 40 mins in a queue I was simply cut off.. like many I’m close to giving up with Sonos who must be in meltdown. Alexa works fine with my other (newer) products like Beam & Move, but just stopped on the One. I’m sure it’s an age / software issue- but all the recommendations don’t seemto restore the function- they say contact technical support but then they don’t answer the phone. I’ve wasted so much time on this and all Sonos do is send me ads for new products. I don’t want to revert to the older software version in cases this causes and issue with other products

I have an ongoing issue with my Sonos Roam speaker, which I purchased a couple of years ago to complement my existing Sonos system. From the beginning, our Roam has been inconsistently difficult to power on, which limited its usage.Recently, I used the Roam outdoors, and after returning it to its magnetic charger, I noticed it no longer displayed the orange power light. Despite holding the power button for 12 and 30 seconds, the device remains unresponsive. I have also rebooted my modem, tried alternative charging sources, but the Roam still won’t power on. I connected through the usb charge cord which caused the orange light to come on and stay lite. Again, it did not charge.Any potential solutions or next steps to assist in turning on the Roam?

I think my image below is wrong from the Sonos Amp to the TV.  And I need help. The Sony Bravia 9 I am planning to purchase has one HDMI Arc port.  Before I run speaker wire I want to make sure this setup gets me where I want to be.  How do I connect the amp to ensure my speakers can be used as rear surround speakers?  Today I have issues with my amp being remote in another room but powering two rear speakers.  I’ve never gotten it to connect as surrounds and hold the connection the way it is supposed to.  We are moving and I have an opportunity to set this up with a better design.    

Hi! I have two Roam 2’s that I bring when traveling, which means they need to be set up on different wifi networks. The only way I found to get them set up on a new wifi network is to do a factory reset, then follow the set up process. Is that the only way to change networks? It seems more than a bit odd that the Roam 2 can’t, well, roam. I tried connecting via Bluetooth hoping to sync them with the Sonos apps new wifi network, but the speakers aren’t visible in the app when connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. I didn’t find anything in the Sonos docs about this. Thanks!
