I have a peloton that only streams bluetooth, but a TV with HDMI arc. Currently I have a bluetooth to RCA, sonos amp, two definitive front speakers and a definitive subwoofer. I’m looking to swap out the definitive fronts but keep the sub. Can I add two sonos era 100s as the front replacement and group them with the sonos amp? I need both bluetooth and HDMI arc connections.

Also FWIW, sonos would benefit adding bluetooth in their amps or beams (perhaps even putting a HDMI arc connection in the era 300s) to avoid people having to pay $1k for that feature in the ARCs that support HDMI arc.

If trying to use the Era’s as front speakers for a TV the answer is no at least not with the Amp. You could go with line-in from the TV to a stereo pair of Era 100’s. However the Amp and Def Tech sub would be useless. Was the Amp connected to your TV via HDMI and the Def Techs wired to the Amp as front speakers with Def Tech sub?

yep, the amp is connected to the TV via HDMI and the def techs wired to the amp as front speakers. i’m trying to find different ways to keep sonos in my system, but these limitations are making it very difficult.

You can group the Era’s to the Amp in your current configuration or add them as surrounds to the Amp. Actually grouping the Era’s to the Amp does not require them to be in the same room. There will be a 75ms delay to the Era’s for TV audio but no delay for music.

but can’t add them as fronts, right? seems like a waste of money to buy the eras or any sonos bluetooth speaker just to keep that and HDMI arc.
