Connecting Sonos Port to old analog stereo so that when I play the record player/radio/cassettes it will play on Sonos speakers

I can’t connect my Port to the old Stereo--I’m including a photo of the back of the stereo. I believe I need to connect the Port input to the Speaker section.  However, it’s not working.

I was able to get Sonos support help.  Thanks to Dante and his patience--he did an exceptional job figuring out the problems!  There were many issues:  First, the wiring was incorrect--I had to connect the RCA wires to the Port Input and then to the Stereo Aux ports.  The Port was also muted--it was showing a green light--I had to unmute (the light is then white).  When using the Sonos App, I had to select ‘Line-in’ and select Media Room (the name assigned to my Port).  It works and am very happy about it!!

No, the Port wouldn’t connect to the speaker ports. The Port is looking for a line level signal, not an amplified signal.

If I’m interpreting the picture correctly, there is no line level output on that device, and its signal can’t be sent to a Port without substantial difficulty (and essentially doing away with any speakers that device drives). I think you might be able to get data into that amp from the Sonos Port using those Aux inputs, but that device just doesn’t have enough/any line level output ports.

Why bother with that device at all?

Bruce, thanks for your response.  It had been working before I moved it to another room.   Unfortunately I don’t remember how I had wired it.  It does have a 5 cd player as well; the record player works fine.  Ideally I would love to get it to work again...

What is at the other end of your Aux cable?

The  CD player. I’ve tried various combinations.  (Input from Port to Aux; Output from Port to Aux; Input from Port to speakers etc.).
