Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Has this problem got a solution for a Mac, yet? Just tried it and it fails with a 913 error. Mac is on MacOS Monterey 12.7.5

I got two Era 100 speakers yesterday and set them up using the SONOS app.  I paired and even tuned them.  I expected stereo for every device and app I connected, but that’s not what happened.At first, two SONOS era 100 with stereo pairing played left side only. I unplugged both speakers. later, the Sonos app played stereo for Radio or Spotify attached to the app.  Switching to some other app outside of SONOS goes back to a single (left) speaker - and stays there until I unplug both speakers. Also, I cannot get stereo to play from our iMac ever (the whole reason I got these speakers!!).  To get stereo from the SONOS app, I must unplug both speakers and then go straight to the SONOS app on my phone. what should I do so that both speakers play in stereo mode regardless of which device I use?  I also want to use other apps besides SONOS on my phone.

Does anyone know if you can pair the Sonos Move 2 to any of the soundbars and make them a surround system?

In addition to using the Android app, I’ve always used the desktop app on Windows 11. Was working fine until about a month ago.I open the app and I get a message saying saying check for updates.Checks updates, confirms I’m running the latest version.System then asks me the followingThen the system checks and the whole process starts again, More options offers to reset app, submit diagnostics. Whatever I do, it just ends up back to square one.I’ve removed the app and re-installed it, the same. I’ve downloaded the app on to my work laptop, same resultPlease help !!

I installed 3 new sonos amp for my customer upgrading from their existing S2 sonos connect amp setup as they wanted to use airplay 2 features.after setting up the 3 x new sonos amps I tried to use one of the old sonos connect amp for an additional zone powering 2 x speakers. i factory reset the old connect amp and It initially allowed me to add to the new system but then kept saying that the connect amp needed to be added and would not complete the process and error message unplug power for device reconnect and try again. After several attempts i decided to remove and test back in my office. I factory reset the Sonos connect amp and have added it to a new system with 1 x sonos move. It seems to have added to the system fine and i can play spotify to each of the devices but if i try grouping them together it will not complete the task and error message unable to connect please try again later. Any help or guidance on this matter would be appreciated. 

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library.It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

What does the battery symbol with a lighten blot through next my sono move when trying to hook up to my system. ? 

Yesterday the Sonos app for Android forced me to update it.  I couldn't do anything in the app unless I updated.  I had been avoiding updating so I didn't lose the homescreen widget.So I updated.  I lost the homescreen widget as expected.  But I also lost something else - the playback controls in the persistent notification (and the lock screen).  Now I have to open the app by tapping the app icon to access playback controls. Notifications are enabled in App Preferences in Sonos app.  In phone settings, the app has all the notification permissions allowed.  App is allowed to run in background.  I tried rebooting the phone. Pixel 6, Android v14Is there a fix at this point or is this a known issue? 

Dear all, I've worked in IT my whole life and feel confident with computers, networks, and peripherals, but this Sonos issue has me stumped.My friend’s Sonos system includes seven devices: the Arc is on Ethernet, while the others use Wi-Fi on a new, high-speed Asus router. Everything works flawlessly, and the Sonos app opens smoothly on both his MacBook Pro and iPhone.The problem starts when we add a new Sonos Move 2 to the Wi-Fi. Although the router shows it as connected with no IP conflicts, the Sonos app immediately exits its active mode, displaying an error message instructing me to check network settings, firewall, and allow incoming traffic—all of which are already configured. Turning off the Move resolves the error, but turning it back on reintroduces it.Everything is updated to the latest software. Has anyone encountered this or can suggest a fix? It's driving me nuts! :)Best regards// Roberto

So new internet provider and router. Speakers can’t be found/ connect to new system. Do I have to do a factory reset or am I missing something here? 

good evening, I have a question. I bought two Sonos ERA 100, I wanted to connect them to my hi-fi system. if I bought the original line in adapter and I connect it to the system, do both speakers work or just the one connected with the cable? does the speaker not connected via cable communicate with the other one that I connected with the adapter? thanks

Since the search functionality on mobile/tablet apps has been partially resolved I find that maybe 50% of the time if I search for an artist, album or song then no results are returned when I enter the search term even when I know there should be something. If I force close the Sonos app and re-try the search term it works. Uploading this so developers are aware.I do have a video I recorded of this on my iPhone but forum says no!

Sorry if this topic has come up before and if there are solutions being developed.  However, I have built and rebuilt my music libraries at least 6 times now.  Each time I create them I am able to establish them and index all of the files.  Then I am able to play music from them for a day or two.  Then after a day or two the music libraries have disappeared and it is as if they have never been created.  Needless to say, I am sick and tired of having to rebuild these libraries every few days.  I am really at the point where I am ready to ditch my Sonos system and make an investment in a different system that is reliable and stable.  I used to really love my Sonos system and have enjoyed it for many years.  But these days the reliability of the system and the app are so poor it is not even worth using it any more.  Please tell me something is being done to fix this.

Sonos, your software sucks. I have 20k worth of your products, you are the best speaker system company in the history of stereos, and you can’t get your software together. Please do better. I say this to all my friends and rental guests. I don’t think this makes them run out to buy your products. If there is a human reading this you can tell I am a very frustrated customer who feels burned after committing to your brand.  

HiI currently have an ARC, Sub gen 2, and 2x Era  300 as surrounds. They are currently in a detached room and i absolutely love watching movies “as they are meant to be watched” We may soon be moving to a semi detached house which will mean my set up will be in a room joined to a neighbor and i am worried my levels my be a problem so i am looking for advice on placement and vibration mitigation.Worst case scenario, i have purchased the Ace headphones but i would obviously prefer to not use them all the time.Any ideas anyone ?

I am setting up a multi-room set-up in the Master Bath of our new house.  I am going to have one in-ceiling speaker in the wet room.  This speaker needs to be weather resistant and have stereo inputs. The best speaker I have found for this application is the Monitor Audio AWC265-T2.  It is an 8 Ohm speaker with two tweeters to provide both left and right sound. The wet room is about 6 feet by 9 feet with a sloped ceiling and a lot of glass (two big windows and a wall of glass).  The other part of the set-up is the part of the bathroom with the sinks and is 6 feet by 11 feet.  I want to use 2 Sonance in-wall speakers in that room.  They would be set 8 feet off the ground, 2 feet from the ceiling on the short wall which is only 6 feet wide.  A couple of questions.  Are the tweeters pivoting in the Sonance in-wall speakers?  Can I use remote volume switches between the amp, that will be the source for all 4 speakers (Amp will see the Monitor Audio speaker as 2) and the speakers so that

Help needed…Hello Team, So I am currently renovating our house. I have been a Sonos customer for a long time, through the good times and the bad. Now one option I am considering is sticking with Sonos and adding an Amp with six architectural in ceiling speakers for casual listening and parties (I love music all the time everywhere but am not an audiophile). The ceiling is vaulted and so the four speakers along the wall will be angled by the pitch towards the stairs/kitchen space. The two end speakers will be angled inwards also on opposing angles which all meets in the middle at about 4m height. Room is 11 x 4 metres roughly. Hard floors, hard ceilings, hard surfaces. Questions/Help asked:1. 6 or 8 inch? (will be a sub in the bench seat). I just wanted to post these issues I’m having with my Music Library which are driving me crazy.  I have hundreds of albums and I primarily use my Sonos system to play my own music rather that stream from one of the providers.  Here are my problems:Why is there no grid view of my albums? A grid view looks so much better that this list view.  Maybe you can ask Apple how they get the grid view in Apple Music if you are unsure of what needs to be done to achieve this. Still no alphabet at the side to allow me to jump to say, my Yahoo album.  It’s painstaking to scroll through an entire list to get to an album close to the end of the list. Compilation albums are appearing as individual songs in album view.  Many of my albums are compilation and this is unacceptable.  It’s rubbish, to be honest.Please, Sonos, address these matters so that I can start enjoying my music system again.

I have a rectangular-shaped finished basement rec room about 20-ft. wide by 60-ft. long. There are 4 ceiling-recessed, passive speakers wired into a Denon amp located at one end of the room, and TV on the other end. I want to integrate this into a Sonos "surround sound" system - I put surround system in quotes as I'm not clear that I need to create a true surround system, but basically, I want to watch TV and hear the sound on a soundbar at the TV and on the 4 passive speakers, and still be able to play other content. I assume this will require a Sonos Amp that I can do a 1-to-1 replacement with the Denon amp, and a Sonos Sound Bar (thinking about the Arc Premium). I further assume I need to run a long HDMI cable from the TV to the Sonos Amp at the opposite end of the room? Is it possible to set this up, and is there specific guidance available to tell me what I need to purchase, how to set it all up, and connect the components?  I have been trying, to no avail, to manage my SONOS One SL, through hard reset, factory reset, WiFi and WLAN connections. Incredibly frustrating. I get the following message: Sonos One SL has been added but may not appear in the system settings. In this case, unplug the power cable and plug it in to complete the setup via the system settings.This system message obviously doesn't help to resolve the issue. While the SONOS appears to go through the configuration and rest, it does not appear in the app. When I attempt to AirPlay, the speaker shows up as Unnamed Room. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the AirPlay connectivity results in the speaker only 1 in 9 or 10 times being available to stream to.  I can’t even access the speaker from the app to play directly from SONOS or local library as it doesn't even show up in the app as a connected and configured/manageable device. So annoying.  Anyone else getting this? Any suggested troub

I have a Sony XR-65X90CJ, Playbar/5.1 setup, Xfinity X1 cable box with the XR15 V2 UQ remote. I am using the S2 app and system as of now.   I have set up the XR15 remote as the remote for the Sonos system, but it is not working correctly.  And now, in the S2 app, I can’t even find the place where I originally set up the remote (this link: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/control-sonos-home-theater-with-your-tv-remote - does not match what I see in my S2 app).   So 1) I can’t seem to disconnect the remote and try again.  2) FYI - I am connected via optical, set to PCM (which on this TV is always fixed).  I have the TV output set to max. The TV speaker are off and the output is set to home theater.When I lower or raise the volume on the TV using the Xfinity - the numbers on the TV go up and down - sometimes it changes
