Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,I have a Sonos Wave 2 which I control using the Android App on my phone or, as is my preference, the Windows App loaded on my PC.  My brother who is in the same household, has a Sonos Roam which he controls using Alexa (I do not use Alexa).  We are on the same wifi network.When I am listening to music, if my brother turns on his speaker, the Windows App shows his account details.  I can see his speaker and his music etc even though what is playing is what I had selected (and I can still control via the Android App on my phone).  Effectively, when my brother uses his Roam, the Windows App ceases to enable me to control my Wave 2 as I can see no way to switch from his system back to my own.I am aware that sharing the same wifi network will mean I can see his system but there must be some way that I can either block his Roam from taking over my Windows App or at least being able to switch from his speaker back to my own.  I have just uninstalled the Windows App and reconnected my speak

I bought an era 100 last week Alexa works quite correctly on it simply when I ask it to start the radio it tells me that it is starting the radio live and then nothing happens. Same, I ask her to put music on Spotify and she tells me that I must first activate the skill for Sonos Era 100 from my Alexa application and ask it to detect devices. except it works on my sonos beam gen 2 I reset my era 100 delete t put back the sonos delete skill and put back the alexa service but nothing does... what should I do? Hello from Finland,I have been using Sonos system for 13 years. I have six different Sonos speakers. Half of them legacy S1 -only speakers and half modern ones. I finally realized I have to move to S2 and forget old speakers. I just realized that Sonos playlists don’t move from S1 to S2. I have couple 500 song playlists. I opened S2 and uppgraded new speakers to S2. Then I saw that playlists don’t move. I figured out that I have to manually move playlists to Spotify. Half a days work but possible. I opened S1 and started moving playlists by hand. I realised that I don’t have inaf time to do that at that day so I came back to do that couple days later (today) and S1 don’t open. It just says open S2. I deleted S2 app and cut new speakers from electricity. Won’t help. Can’t get S1 to open. See that old speakers flashes at app before it says “Us S2 app”. Are now old playlists destroyed? Can I do something to get old lists back? My wife will kill me for this..  

I have created a diagnostic for this issue.Kitchen and Lounge are grouped and were playing then Lounge stopped.It is still showing as playing but there is no sound coming from the speakers.

Hi there,I cannot believe I have to ask this but here goes.I have a Roam 2 sitting in Taipei awaiting customs clearance, DHL have emailed me and asked for detailed technical information about the Roam 2, specifically the Wi-Fi operating range and the Bluetooth strength. Is there a technical specifications document I can quote from so that I can get my speaker?Thanks very much in advance. 

Been watching all the back and forth since May, but my speakers still aren’t syncing as they used to do. Is a 10 second lag to be expected now, or is it on a long slide to be fixed sometime later this year?

I recently moved house and can add sonos single speakers but my beam doesn’t connect

Recently my Beam 2 has been stopping playing sound and the white light on tops flashes for a short period, then it stops flashing and sound returns. It has been doing this daily for the past week.I’ve checked all cable connections, source is an Apple TV and have used it’s Check HDMI connection feature which reports that “Your HDMI connection looks good” Any ideas? Thanks, Greg

Since acquiring a Roam 2, I have it in the bathroom and connect it via groups to a stereo pair in the man bedroom… So I thought I’d create a pre-defined group called Showertime with the roam and stereo pair so that I can more quickly group.However… It doesn’t seem to work as expected (ignoring the annoying amount of swiping in the new app...). So on this screen I effectively have 2 predefined groups showing, Everywhere and Showertime. But, if the damned app is not on one of the rooms in the group Shower, when. press Shower, it adds shower to the room selected instead of changing the selection to what is in Shower… But, if I select Everywhere, which does the obvious, and then press Shower, it selects just the rooms in the group Shower, which is what I’d expect normally.. Is that how it’s supposed to work? Doesn’t seem very intuitive?

Music Library Settings is greyed out on Windows desktop app & not shown on Android. Unable to play music from my library. Occurred Saturday, 9/7. The Settings option under the "Manage" menu is also greyed out.  SONOS Controller - V16.3SONOS OS - S2Build - 80155014 

We had a Bose 48 Lifestyle system now disconnected but  the in ceiling speakers remain in 4 rooms. Bought a Sonos amp to connect to the kitchen speakers and it works great. Loathe to buy 3 more Sonos amps for the other rooms. Is there another way to connect them all up through the one Sonos amp?

I have a fresh install of two era 100 in stereo mode and a sub mini. Everything worked fine during installation including all updates.But: most of the time there is no button/option to run trueplay (Android app). Sometimes it magically appears and if I start it, it says "an error occured - please try again".The only way I got trueplay to work was by uninstalling the sub mini.1. any hints, how to run it with sub mini?2. does it make sense to run it without sub mini and the add the sub again? Thx for any help,Alex

HiMy Sonos one is experiencing sudden volume drops/muffle when a loud part comes in a song. The app still shows 100% volume. Lowering and increasing volume to 100% again fixes the issue for a few seconds.Diagnostics number ***********Moderator edit: Diagnostics number recorded and removed

Tengo el problema que no puedo manejar parámetros en la aplicación, me pude reiniciar y lo hago pero no sirve de nada , reconoce las áreas de mi casa , pero además del volumen no puedo manejar ej el balance , por lo que escojo por ejemplo mono en el área de la piscina , e reinstalando la aplicación mi contraseña y no pasa nada , también. He desconectado los equipos pero no pasa nada el problema es la aplicación.  Adjunto lo que aparece pero no se soluciona. 

One hour before a party and the Sonos App no longer finds the Amp or Beam. Unplugged everything. Does anyone have any bright ideas. All my reservation about this system is coming to fruition.

Hi all,  I have a Arc soundbar, two Era 300 and a Sub Gen 3, I feel missing something in front like no power or big sound, is it a good idea add one or two Sonos Five in front and is it possible ? Thanks for your advice.  

I noticed that Sonos S2 app 8.07.05 running on Android 13 UI 5.1 smartphone sometimes stops and exit after being launched without no apparent reasons. Requiring to clean app cache data in order to have it working again.

Why does an “unable to load content” error message constantly appear in the app under my Sonos Favorites and My Stations Pinned Collection? Also since updating the app a few months ago one of the Jazz Groove stations I listen to every night before falling asleep can no longer be accessed from Recently Played. The only way I can listen to the station is to access it from Jazzgroove under My Services. What’s going on here?

Hi, We've moved and landed on what will be our placement for our TV, couch and two chairs. The TV is perpendicular to the seating, and while the couch is up against the wall the chairs are not (there is a space of about 5 feet between chairs and the wall).  We have a beam which will go beneath the TV but where to place our play:1:s for surround sound? I can't think of a great solution. The poorly drawn sketch shows where I think is the most likely. The speakers om the red X:s. Any better solutions? 

We've been adding Sonos to the house regularly, most recently an Amp in the living room connected to our Victrola turntable and powering two home theater bookshelf speakers. My wife recently feel in love with the sound and I'd like to expand the living room, still using Sonos.The first picture is my current setup. It's a bit unique given the items installed, but it all works flawlessly. I want to remove the soundbar/sub from the setup and replace it with a pair of architectural speakers, sub + one more amp (already have the amp) to use as a home theater setup (and she can use to play music, records, or watch tv/movies on).However, as you can see, because of the other items (namely the hue sync box and the headset), I've now complicated the setup ( i'd like to retain both, as I use the headset for gaming and the strip adds some immersion to our viewing).I am looking at an OREI matrix, using the input from the sync box (which captures and passes thru the sources), which would then split

My Airpods Max can pause and resume video content I’m watching when I press the digital crown or take them off.I expected this to work with the Sonos Ace using TV audio swap as well, but it doesn’t. As far as I know, HDMI-CEC supports play / pause operations, so the headphones could tell the soundbar to tell the TV to play / pause.Is this feature infeasible for some reason, or is this something that could be supported in the future?

I’ve got an unusual issue which has started over the last few weeks.The Sonos in my bedroom (Wired Sonos Amp S2) when playing BBC sounds keeps dropping out - sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes every 1 minute. The stream sometimes recovers after a 5 seconds, other times it simply stops.This morning, when I played the same stream via my desktop App, it actually has given me a more useful error message (than I got from the App) stating “song not encoded properly” ?However, if I play BBC Sounds via my mobile or desktop, it plays perfectly.I’ve done the normal “reboot everything” including internet.I’ve also setup continual PINGs from my desktop to the Sonos in question (just in case its somehow having connection issues) and to the Internet (just in case my Internet is failing). Everything shows a constant connection. Obviously Sonos buffers the audio stream anyway, so the odd packet loss should not impact it (if I stop the internet it takes around 25 seconds before the radio actually st
