Hello. I just set up my new Sub Mini, paired with 2 older Play 1s I have had for years, and I must say I am not at all impressed. I can tell NO difference whatsoever with the Sub Mini set at the neutral equalizer setting, and only know it works when I change that setting upwards of +8 or more.

Any thoughts? I’m really disappointed, as I was excited to add a sub woofer to my music system. (I use my Sonos system for music only, not as TV surround sound.) Maybe the Sub Mini needs better speakers than the Play 1s to notice the effect?

I’m on the verge of returning the Sub Mini, so any thoughts would be appreciated before I do so.

Thanks,

What source are you playing and does your selection there have a lot of Sub range content?

Are all on the latest software release?

Did you power cycle your Sonos with a router and controller reboot after adding?

Did you run Trueplay and or try moving the Sub to seeing it is a placement issue?

I use Tidal as my music source.

Yes, latest software all around.

Yes, power cycled the system after adding the Sub Mini.

Yes, ran Trueplay.

No, I have not moved the Sub Mini, as it is in a corner within .5 meter of one the Play 1s - supposedly an ideal location.

I just don’t think the Sub Mini does very much. Certainly not $400 worth.

??

I'd call Support and have5hem look at internal data before givng it up.
