Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have the beam soundbar connected via HDMI (eARC), with a Sub Mini connected wirelessly to the beam.   Each time I turn the tv off, the sub disconnects from the Beam.  I have to unplug the Beam, then power it back on - the sub reconnects.  Any suggestions to keep the Sub Mini connected to the Beam?

I have a Sonos Roam (first generation) and a Sonos Connect:Amp (maybe 1st gen).When using the Sonos App - I can see both the amp and the roam, and control music. Things work flawlessly beyond the app being horrific.When using spotify directly - I can see both the amp and the roam and control music. This experience works the best.When using Apple Music - I can ONLY see the roam, and control music. I can’t see to get it connected to the amp. I have tried normal troubleshooting steps (restarting amp, etc), however nothing have been able to work. I’m trying to transition from Spotify to Apple Music. Any ideas to fix? Does the amp just not work with airplay but spotify is able to work around it?

I have a Sonos Beam Gen1 + 2 Play Five Gen2 + Submini. When playing music using the Sonos App, the Submini has no sound; the diaphragm doesn't respond. Could someone please help me? Thank you.

I’ll be moving to a new house soon.  In the basement is a rec room where we will install a TV and we would like some decent audio.  I currently have a 5.1 system with towers and a big center, on-wall surrounds, and a receiver but looking to make things easy in the new house, one remote (Apple TV) and a clean install.  Plan is an Arc Ultra on the built-in cabinet, with a Sub 4 on the floor.  The sofa will be right against the back wall so there is no room for surrounds on stands.  I can wall mount or ceiling mount, though I don’t know the best location.  I have ordered Era 300s and hope to use those, but maybe an Amp with some 3-rd party surround speakers might be the better option?  It looks like I have some conduit in the ceiling, though placement is odd about midway between the TV wall and the back wall.  I may be able to run power to the Era 300s via this conduit or speaker wire to the Amp.  Room will be used for TV, movies, and games.  Music isn’t really a big concern. 

Hello, I have bought a new sofa “paramount” from Sofology UK. It comes with vibrating seat function for enhanced movie experience. Not considering how locked down the Sonos system is I have clearly overlooked this. The sofa can connect via Bluetooth to the Tv and works fine but this means not using my beam or 100s that I use for surrounds. I appreciate this is a long shot but is there any work around I could do to make use of the sofa. Only option I have come up with is to link my phone to the sofa and play the film both on my tv and phone at the same time, but this would not work for any live Tv and is also just a faff. I’m just wondering about sound absorption panels and Sonos 9.1.4. I’m treating my room for hifi stereo listening with absorption panels(first reflection points plus rear wall and corner bass traps).However, in the same room I’m also going to use Sonos Arc Ultra/Sub Gen 4/Era300 for immersive movie sound.My question, since Sonos is a virtual system and relies on sound bouncing off the side walls for side channels(and ceiling), wouldn’t it be counter-productive to have those sound absorption panels? Or would Trueplay correct the room acoustics within the Sonos system to compensate for the sound panels?

After 11 years of faithful service, one of the speakers in my Sonos home has died. It was the first Sonos product that I purchased back in 2014. Now I have a home full of Sonos speakers that I’ve purchased over the years, all of them S1 compatible, and will not work on S2 (don’t get me started!). What can I replace the Play 5 with? Thanks.

I have had the ERA 3 for about 1.5 years, and after Sonos made an update to its system last year, I am now unable to pair this speaker to my computer or my iphone.  I have spent hours trying to figure this out with the help of Sonos technicians and with the Sonos community.  I am beyond frustrated and disappointed in Sonos for not fixing this problem and am disappointed that I bought this speaker as an upgrade.  It has been anything but better.

Noticed that when using tv audio swap the Dolby Atmos music is compressed greatly. Will there be an update to maybe like; uncompress it I guess

Could we return all our speakers for a refund since Sonos broke their system?Is anyone aware of a class action we can join?It’s been YEARS and they keep promising fixes that never come.  They used to work fine until the S2 software broke it all.The audio cutouts make it unusable and the speakers are now decorative.I literally have THOUSANDS of dollars invested now useless.

I have 4 x Play:1s and am getting fed up with the workarounds I have to use to play my own music. I know Play:1 isn;t compatible with Airplay per se, but I thought there might be a way of getting to work if I add a 5th, more recent Sonos device to the group. Is this is true, and iso, could somebody advise on the cheapest/easiest way of doing this? Thank you

One of my Era300 speakers has started making a repetitive, but random rhythm, drumming sound. Whether I am playing music or not. Once I turn it on and off, it stops for a while and then restarts. Anyone else have the same issue? It’s only the left one that does this. 

Hi, trying to add a Connect Amp but it requires an update first.It keeps going in a loop (gives update button option, I click it then it loops back to click the update option again)but doesn't show an error code. Also tried downgrading to the previous Sonos S1 app. Fails to find the amp. Tried the usual reboot after factory reset of holding in the speaker/mute button until it goes into pair mode (green colour). Cleared out the android app cached data as well and tried the website app but it doesn't allow you to add a device....grrrAnyone know how to sort this?

I have a Sony Bravia TV with a soundbar.  The soundbar’s not brilliant.  Would it help to get a couple of Sonos speakers to use as surround sound?  And how would I connect them?  I already own a Sonos Play 1.  Can I play my telly through that?

Very weird scenario. I can’t remove or reauthorize any of my music content services. When I try and disconnect the service Sonos tells me it was unable to disconnect and there was an error please try again. When I try and add/reauthorize account because I can’t disconnect same answer it goes to app login page for Sirius xm and Spotify and tells me there was an issue reauthorizing the account. I call Sonos support and I can’t even run and submit a diagnostic to Sonos. It times out and says there was an error submitting diagnostics. I log in on the web browser through my desktop and all my speakers are offline. Super weird because my app shows all of them active. I can start Spotify only through the Spotify app not through Sonos and I can control the volume of each device from the Sonos app. I can also unpair groups and re add speakers through the app so obviously the system is working and responsive just appears to be an issue though the app and the browser. Hoi there,Have been using Arc Ultra + Sub 4 + 2x Era 300 aka Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra for over a year now and been quite happy with the system overall. Sure there has been SW glitches here and there, but no deal breakers, and the sound is great. But the issue I got , is that the Sonos Android app installed with my Samsung S8+ tablet forgets all the Arc Ultra’s settings (speaker lvls, Speed Enchantment, TruePlay) multiple times a week. Not a deal breaker, but it grows tedious after a while for sure. I was thinking that this might be due to  the schedule I’ve set the system to cut off power with a separate timer for night time, but got the same timer thing with my living room Sonos Beam+Sub Mini for years, and it has never lost its settings to date. Wondering if anybody else has experienced the same, and if there’s a fix for it? I am dead sure there was a question like this in the forumsalready , but could not find it just now. Thanks! 

How do I connect my hifi system without wireless connection to Sonos era 100 speakers?is a cable available?

I just bought a Sonos Arc Ultra & an Ace, the Ace for evening TV, in the Black Friday sales When I watch films on Prime the sound is superb on both devices but on terrestrial channels (I’m in the UK) the sound was utter rubbish which I think is from only being broadcast in stereoI’m using only my TV (Samsung 2018 flagship model) as a receiver as I don’t have Sky & wondering is a decent streaming box would be the way forward to get better sound overall & more choice of free TV. My home is a smart home so the Amazon Fire Cube could be an option but I would also like to use the streamer as a Plex player which the Nvidia Shield Pro does I believe but is there a better option as the Shield is now old?I used to use a Mede8ter MED600X3D which still works perfectly but years old & was used with my old Atmos setup but I now want a more minimalist home so I don’t want all the cables & speakers all over & a big amp although I could still use it to stream f

I have a small LR, 11’x23’. Which soundbar is better suited for my small room, Beam or Arc Ultra?Also, I don’t have room for 300’s would Era 100’s (or older One’s) do for the surrounds --considering they don’t have Dolby Atmos? Thank you

Hi everyone,I’m facing an issue with Sonos where any playlist that includes tracks from my local music library won’t play properly when I start it from the mobile app. The playlist loads fine, and all the songs are visible, but tapping Play either does nothing or gets stuck on “Connecting.”What’s strange is that the same tracks play normally if I browse the local library directly — the problem only happens when they’re inside a playlist. Streaming-service tracks inside the same playlist work without issues, so it seems specific to the ML entries.I’ve already tried updating the music library index, rebooting my speakers and phone, checking network access, and reinstalling the app, but nothing changes.Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on what might be causing the mobile app to fail when playlists reference local library content?Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have a timeline when you will support HiRes-Lossless from Apple to any Sonos hardware?  If so, will the port be one and when might it be available?

I would like Sonos Ace headphones to work the same way as other devices. So that it is possible to listen to sound simultaneously in headphones and a soundbar or assign them to groups. Now the soundbar sound is turned off and other people in the room can't hear anything.My situation: We are watching TV sports. The children are shouting. I put on headphones so I can hear better, but the others in the room, who don't mind the children shouting, can't hear the TV.  That would make me very happy.

HiI have been trying to add Amazon music to my sonos, but Amazons message is that it has sent an OTP code to my email and I don’t receive it, the email that they sent it is a good one, I have tried and tried again and again, their is no choice availlable to send it by text, Can someone help me.Thanks
