 Hi,

a few months ago I created the linked post requesting a full-screen cover display option on iPads, similar to what’s available on Android tablets. I was wondering if there’s any update or new information regarding this feature request. It would be great to have this option again, as I use my iPad as a dedicated home music controller.

Thanks!

Sonos rarely announce new features in advance, so don’t hold your breath waiting on an update.

My iOS app (see profile) includes a full-screen mode on the iPad.

After last update I have full screen covers!

Definitely an improvement, but it’s only in portrait / vertical orientation. It’s still in a smaller window in landscape / horizontal orientation.

I get a bigger window in landscape orientation now on my iPad. Much better than before

After last update I have full screen covers!

Only took 2 years and a half-baked job with the grouping menu and queue still restricted to the small pop-up window.

I’m seeing the full screen on my ipad now which in my opinion is much better.

One thing that does annoy me is that when you start adjusting the volume it invokes a dialog with another (smaller) volume bar on it. It gets in my way of adjusting the volume by the slider that’s already on screen and I have to then use the one in the dialog. I can’t see what purpose it serves other than to offer the EQ button and it would be nice if this popup could be disabled in options.

You can disable the additional pop up volume by disabling the shortcut to the EQ.

The shortcut to EQ is dreadful UI when adjusting volume when only 1 room is involved.

Thanks for that, I had missed that option and now I’ve got rid of the annoying popup volume dialog :)

Such a little button, shame it couldn't be on the basic bar rather than popping up the aggravation you must then wait to time out and close.

That was my thoughts exactly. The popup dialog is not necessary.
