Arc keeps beeping on and off and loses sound on various channels but not all

I have a Sonos set up that was installed in 2013.  In the last 1-2 months, my system will cut out for 5-10 seconds.  This will move from room to row with no specific pattern.  Sometimes it will happen 3x in a row about 10 minutes apparent.  Other times it will only happens once or twice with an hour between.  When it cuts out in one room, you will still hear the Sonos playing in another room.I currently have 3x 1st Gen Connect that connect via a Bridge to the Wi-Fi.  These 3x Connects support three different rooms.  The speakers are not Sonos and are powered by a separate amplifier.  So each Connect attach to a different channel on the amp which power the speakers in the respective room.  We also have a 4th room that uses a Connect Amp that powers a set of floor speakers.  All Connect components are connected via a Sonos Bridge and controlled through the Sonos App (not the S1).I normally steam SiriusXM and Amazon Music.  Sometimes we will listen to a CD To troub

Hi I would imagine this has been asked, but, due to so many answers relating to the old app, it seemed quicker for me to post.have a sonos beam , sub mini and two era 100 connected to my tv.Can I set up a separate group using the same speakers to play just the era1 100 as a stereo pair , when I play music and then go back to group all of them for the tv?Thanks for your time

So there is the message “couldn't play content. Try again” in 3 different rooms, while one works fine.I have tried rebooting the modem router and the Sonos speakers. Not the mesh. What is weird is that they all work when I choose “everywhere” from the first working room. Just not separately.

Can I pair Beam1 with amp driven ceiling speakers as rears ?Currently use the ARC HDMI socket with cable to Amp ro drive ceiling speakers that works great.  I want to add the Beam to TV but only one ARC socket…..Thoughts welcomeDelboy

I dropped my Era 100 by accident twice. It feels like something is broken inside the speaker. It also sounds too bad. Does anybody know some technician in Mexico City, to fix my Era100?I just discovered that it sounds better upside down.Thanks 

I couldn't be happier with my new Sonos Arc Ultra with Era 100 surround set. However. The volume gets quite loud and I don't want to wake up my toddler or annoy my neighbours. Adding a timer function is a MUST HAVE for this device. It's not hard to implement: just turn on night mode every night at 22.00 and turn it of at 06.00. That's it.I have found dozens of topics on these forums and on Reddit requesting this feature. Please Sonos - add it quickly! This is a must have!

I just set up my new Samsung TV with a new Sonos Amp.  I also connected external speakers for TV using the eARC HDMI connection so I could listen to TV through my Sonos on external speakers.  I noticed that the TV would not let me select TV audio through this configuration.  Every time I tried to select TV audio through the TV settings, the TV audio would come on for a couple of seconds and then immediately over ride my selection and reconnect to external speakers.  I called Sonos...they pointed the finger at Samsung.  I called Samsung...they pointed the finger at Sonos.  Surprise..surprise.  I tried unplugging everything and reconnecting like many suggested on the internet.  I also factory reset the TV and Sonos  to see if this would fix the issue.  I made sure TV and Sonos s/w were up to date.  Nothing fixed the issue.  Finally- after researching the issue on the internet, I found this to be a known issue and found a work around.  I had to disable the ‘anynet + (HDMI-CEC)’ setting

Hi.  I’m curious if anyone out there has any current experience successfully installing the Sonos Controller in a Linux based OS, specifically Zorin.  I say “current” because almost every thing I’ve found on this subject is from some years ago, so just looking for something hopefully a bit more current.I have an old W10 laptop converted to Zorin OS, Zorin because it’s the most Windows like, they say.  When it was running W10 I could run the Sonos Controller and I play music through our Sonos ARC.  I’d like to be able to do that with Zorin if possible.  With the Zorin OS I’ve been able to a point in the installation process where it almost completes the installation but but fails with the following: Any thoughts, comments or questions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I have a Sonos Beam 2. I seem to have connection issue with a TV when it has a non-apple streaming device. Sonos switched between ‘internal speaker’ and ‘HDMI input’ - and thereby no sound coming out. I haven’t used the optical cable yet. Any advice would be much appreciate

Hello,I am a user in Japan with an active Amazon Prime membership. I have been unable to play Amazon Music through the Sonos app for the past few weeks.When I try to play a song from Amazon Music using the Sonos app, playback does not start and I get the following message (see attached screenshot):  "Go Unlimited. Listen to this music and tens of millions more songs with Amazon Music Unlimited. Sign-up at https://www.amazon.co.jp/music_on_sonos".Amazon Music and Sonos are already connected.  (Japanese UI, translated below, see attachment 2):  "Thank you. Amazon Music is now ready to play on your Sonos device. You can return to the Sonos app."Despite this, playback still does not start.- Amazon Music used to work fine with Sonos previously.- I am using Amazon Prime Music, not Amazon Music Unlimited.- The account connection says it is completed.I have already searched this forum for solutions, reinstalled the Son

iOS App. Latest app. Latest firmware.The Roam is a portable device meant to be taken away from one’s home network.So- while on Bluetooth only, one would like to monitor the battery level of one’s battery powered device.The old app could do this. Every other BT speaker I’ve ever encountered can do this.The Roam. Cannot.Please add back this basic feature.The Roam has been out since March 2021 and it had this capability until the new app was released. In May 2024 with the release of the new app it lost this capability and it’s been well over a year and has yet to be restored.  Embarrassing for Sonos, really…And please don’t respond with “you can use a voice assistant” or “because of the way our system uses BT it won’t work” be

How do I check my Roam 2 battery level when not connected to a network and only using Bluetooth? Thanks in advance 

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great.We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.  

Any help available. I have a playbar that has an optical cable for its input. My new TV (Toshiba) uses a RF remote so I can’t set the volume up as it only recognises IR. Any advice?Thanks

I have a gen 2 amp that one of the speaker outputs started emitting a crackling sound.. the other output sounds fine… I also have an old amp that doesn’t work. Was wondering if I can swap the outputs?

I purchased a Sonos system years ago, and with the S1 app rarely had any issues connecting. I recently purchased new speakers because I was constantly being reminded that the old speakers would no longer be supported. With the new speakers I needed to use the new Sonos app. Now I can almost never get a quick connection to my speakers, and often can’t connect them at all. My phone is connected to our home WiFi, I set and reset the speakers to connect to the home WiFi - and nothing. I am more than frustrated. I feel that I’ve been suckered into buying expensive new components and Sonos is letting me down. I can connect through Bluetooth - but I could have just bought less expensive Bluetooth speakers.

Hi have two One SL speakers with an Arc all connected up. Of late when using Spotify through Sonos I noticed both speakers dropping out at exactly 15 minutes then coming back on 5 minutes later then dropping out again no sound then restoring. Up to now I have had no issues with the sound systems or set up any ideas. 

I have a Sonos Arc connected to a Sony TV and using a AppleTV OS and Apple remote. The problem I am experiencing is that the AppleTV remote does not connect to the Arc automatically. After unchecking from the TV speakers and checking only the Arc I am able to change the volume of the Arc. I want it so that I don’t use the TV speakers at all and to have the Apple Remote change the volume on the Sonos. more info: my TV is connected to the Arc via the optical chord on the eARC port on the TV.The remote and the TV connects automatically to the TV speakers not to the Sonos when the TV turns on and off

I recently changed my Wi-Fi router and updated my system with the new configuration. However both SL Ones disappeared and after factory resetting both, they still would not connect. I attached one speaker to the router with an Ethernet and was able to set them up and added them as surrounds for the Beam. However on removing the Ethernet the connection goes and they get dropped from the set up. Any idea why and how to get them all wireless again?

I have just purchased the Sonos Ace headphones obviously foolishly thinking I would be able to use the app the stream my music library directly to my headphones thereby being able to listen to my music library through my headphones and controlling music selection via the Sonos app.this is apparently something that is not possible.considering the price point of the headphones and the claims of quality and functionality I feel this is a major flaw in the headphones design and in the marketing by Sonos.i may as well just but some other quality Bluetooth headphones a a cheaper price.i even tried playing my library through my Sonos soundbar and then doing the swap to the headphones but this is apparently not possible either. This is really disappointing.i love my Sonos system but this is one element that is a bit of a let down. Will Sonos fix this flaw or do I just go back to relying on Bluetooth strategies and work around for playing my music.re

Hi everyone, I have a problem - I reset the Sonos Amp to factory settings and reconnected it to my Sonos system. I have it connected via LAN, but the Ethernet connection always disconnects and the Amp connects via Wi-Fi. When I return the connection via LAN in the app settings, after about a minute it disconnects and reconnects to Wi-Fi...and so on....Is there any way to fix this? The other Sonos devices are only connected via Wi-Fi....could this be related? The router and network work fine.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything about progress towards resolving the Compilation Albums Issue in Local Music Libraries.I believe this is the current state of things:Sonos does not recognize the “Compilation Album” tag. Sonos does recognize albums tagged with Album Artist as “Various Artists” -- this is good. HOWEVER, Albums not tagged with “Various Artists” show up with as unique Albums for every Contributing Artist.  Example:  Suppose we had Billboard Greatest Hits 1986.  This would show up as 10 separate albums … one for Bangles, one for Huey Lewis, one for Mr. Mister, etc. Albums that are tagged with “Various Artists” fix this, but the Contributing Artists are invisible.  This means that if I look in the Artists list, I do not see Bangles, Huey Lewis, or Mr. Mister … it appears that I have no music from them, though clearly I do.  They show up when I search for them, but

Hi! I’ve recently purchased a beam 2 and 2 era 100 with the idea to use them as a home theater (I’m planning to buy the sub mini in a future) but I can’t figure it out at all.  I have the beam already configured with the tv connected tru hdmi arc.  I have in another system both of the era 100 individually (not paired for stereo)  and now when I’m trying to add both era 100 in the configuration area of the beam 2 they never show up.  am I doing something wrong? I’ve reset everything twice now and can’t connect them together
