Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi All, I’ve got a Sonos Amp that runs in ceiling speakers in my Kitchen, along with a Sonos Sub Gen 3.  In addition to that, I have an Arc and Sub Gen 3 in my living room, and a bunch of Play 1’s around the house.  Only the Arc is hardwired into my network all other Sonos products are wireless.  The  rest of my system works just fine, but my Sonos Sub stops playing after some time and no longer shows up in the Sonos App.  If I factory reset the Sub and re-add it, it pairs to my Amp just fine, but will eventually stop playing.  The Amp is in my basement and the Sub is on the first floor of the house.  They are maybe 30 feet from each other total.  I’ve read that the Sub’s “bond” wireless to the player they are grouped with.  I’m thinking perhaps my Sub is too far from my amp to keep a good wireless connection.  Is there anyway to fix this without moving the sub or amp?

Since the Omnishambles of May 24 the TuneIn integration has been hamstrung and it’s take WAY too long to fix.Issue 1: Navigating to a podcast and clicking on the text or play button adds the entire series to the queue, not just that episode. The episode plays, but I don’t want the whole series, just the one podcast as I may want to mix things up and listen to a number of different podcasts in a row. This renders the whole queue useless.Issue 2: If I long-press the text or play button I get the sub-menu up from where I can Play Now / Play Next / Replace Queue etc. This functionality works, I can use it to add individual podcasts to the queue. Yay! Only problem is they don’t play, and I get the “Couldn’t Play Content. Try Again” message.Issue 3: As of the last few days even if it’s a 20 min episode all I get is 45 seconds of adverts before it moves to the next episode in the queue and this is repeated.Bored of the UX issues now Sonos. I moved into a new house and ordered four Sony TVs and three Arc Ultras and one Beam. One set up (Sony + Arc Ultra) works seamlessly.  I can turn the TV on and the television’s audio routes through the Arc Ultra. Or I can switch over to the Sonos App and stream music to that Arc Ultra. I can switch back and forth with no issues. Simply works as one would want. The other three however require adjustment each and every time. When I turn the TV on I have to flip the audio output in the TVs menu from audio system to TV speakers and then back to audio system to get the television’s audio to route through the arc ultra (or the beam).  I checked the settings to ensure they’re consistent in both the Sonos app, as well as in the television audio menu system. anAny advice, please?

I cannot pair my speakers, just bought the Era 100, and returning because didn't like the size for my kitchen. Will possibly order the Play 2. Only thing is a neighbor gave me his old Sonos One’s same thing happened there. When i group them the sound goes off on both speakers. Worked with tech support, they tried a bunch of things none of which worked. i gave up. rebooted my home router 5x, on same network, unplugged my arc and plugged back in, so whats to do here? shouldn't be this difficult. tech support suggested i turn off DHCP on my router? lol, or put my router into bridge mode? im not pairing my router with another router?

Good afternoon, So how long now, 1 and half years and features that were on the existing app are still missing. Come on Sonos.1. I hate how I can now longer update/save a playlist if I add a new song to queue. Why, this should have been fixed by now?2. When a song is playing you can no longer select the x3 dots and view the artist or Album. Little things like this are still missing and in my opinion how can these features not be available in the app. This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad.Please, please, please fix this SONOS. You have promised so many times that these features would be back, however I’m still waiting.

Hi there, this has been an issue for quite a while now, sometimes it completely prevents me from streaming content and at other times it’s intermittent.Basically, I like to be able to stream YouTube on my phone via AirPlay, listening to narrations and other audio content there which is not available from audio only platforms.I get an error on youtube “Something went wrong”. This can happen immediately preventing me from listening to the content on my Sonos speakers or, just as annoyingly, start and then get the error at random times during playback. This random stop may then prevent me from listening or a refresh may work for a while before it happens again.If I don’t AirPlay to my speakers it works just fine. I also tried streaming to my Apple TV, to see if it was an AirPlay problem, however that worked just fine.After scowering the internet, it seems to be a known issue. I’ve seen suggestions such as jumping into the Sonos app and then back to YouTube,

Anyone experiencing a decrease in the bass of the system (in my case 2 Era 300 + Sub 4) after last update (updated yesterday October 16th). since this update, I am expericing a decrease in the overall bass of my system.

Hi everyoneI have problem with my stereo pair. I have 2x era100 and when i use it on Wi-Fi i haven’t any problem. When i connect by bluetooth my stereo pair to my PC or Phone, usually i see “device is connected”, but i can’t hear any sound. I change audio output to era100 on PC and Phone, but this still don’t work. I reset my system and add again to sonos app tree times - this didn’t help. I don’t know what to do. Please help mePS: Another devices like JBL Headphones worked prefectly on my PC and Phone by bluetooth protocol

I have 3 Sonos speakers. I use them always. This morning my app showed ”No Content” under the name I gave each speaker. I rebooted a speaker but still no content. I checked my router and it shows the speakers all connected to the network. I was using Sirius programming and in the Sonos app it showed as working with the name of the song, etc. One of my speakers is a Roam 2 that was not powered on. I powered it on and it showed on the network but had the same message of no content and i couldn’t play anything on any of the speakers. So, I’m not sure what the issue as and i think i did the things I should. Any suggestions?

Hello,I have an HHP Omnibook laptop using windows 11 with the sonos (s2 controller) app installed.  I have tried everything in the articles that I have been reading from sharing the folder, turning off my firewall (windows firewall is the only one I have), using the ip address in the folder name, etc.The music library that I am attempting to add is on the hard drive of this laptop.  I get the following error:  “sonos was unable to add the music folder reason:  unable to add the shared folder //scottnewlap/singles to your music library (1001).If anyone knows of a fix, I would greatly appreciate it.  Have a great day.Regards,Scott

Your Sonos app doesn't work and Spotify app never plays . It it does play it will pause or skips songs right after this is not acceptable.  Why did everything get worse this week and he's my app is updated and speakers for the last update 

My Sonos one microphone light won’t come on and mic won’t work 

Hey folks, For ~15 years I’ve been running a set of external speakers with internal powered subwoofers (Definitive ProTower 400s) through an NAD 320BEE receiver to a Sonos Connect (gen1) to a Sonos S1 system.  I stuck with S1 mostly because the Connect didn’t support S2 and also because I primarily listen to local library, but not interested in reopening the S1/S2 wars here... There are also a bunch of other Sonos speakers in other rooms but that doesn’t seem relevant to this problem. The NAD recently died on me and I’m considering my options.  I could buy a new receiver but it seems like overkill as I only use it to connect the speakers to the Connect.  I could buy a Sonos Amp, which seems the most straight ahead option but then I’m throwing out a perfectly good Connect. I could buy some some new Sonos speakers, but again, then I’m throwing out some very good speakers as well as the Connect.  Are there are other options I should consider, perhaps some go

I have the Sonos Ace and I’m enjoying it at home, but I’d like to take it to work. Work does not let me use bluetooth, and the usb c to 3.5 audio cable that came in the box is too short for my needs. I have a 3.5 female port to usb-c cable. (Specifically this one.) And I have an audio jack to audio jack cable. (Specifically this one.) But I cannot get them to play audio through the Sonos ace in this configuration. The Sonos Ace is fully updated. Do I need to buy yet more cables?

can you have sonos in ceiling speaker in a poolroom ?

Hi everyone I struggle with some content.the audio file is doldby digital + 5.1 and the app is showing dolby atmos which is not.it cause some issue (cutouts every minute mostly)my settings on my nvidia shield and lg cx is everything passthrough even on my KODIwhen I switch to lpcm (not passthrough) there is no issue.also when I read true atmos files there is no issue as well. Sonos arc sub gen 3 and one sl rearslg cx 65nvidia shield pro any idea ? thanks !

I have been streaming Spotify on the highest quality music for years. now with update from Spotify streaming Flac but speakers does not switch from 320K to FlacI have a Beam and Play3 pair and Play1 pairs in other rooms. iPhone as a controller. Do these older Sonos speakers support Spotify Lossless audio?Is Spotify now streaming in Flac or do I just have to wait until October

Då upptäckte jag att Sonos1 fortfarande fungerade med min gamla Controller 200 via den hittar jag mina enheter men jag kan inte se mitt system via appen Sonos 1 i telefon som då har det nya WiFi namnet. Jag kan inte lägga in in ny musik på mina 2 NAS som sköter mitt musikbibliotek.Jag tror systemet går på den WiFi som Sonos själva hade när systemet startades upp. Mitt system är från 2008 så jag har varit med länge. Nu vill jag få över systemet till mitt nya WiFi för att kunna hanter ny musik, lyssna på radio och andra musikkanaler som inte går att få in på det WiFi nät Sonos ligger på nu.Öppnar jag min Sonos1 app på telefonen så hittar den inte mitt system. Hur gör jag för att få över systemet till mitt nyaa WiFi som går via en Telia Router och ett TP Link Mesh system?mvhTommy Palm 

Hi - having some problems with using a record player with my system.  Currently have:record player with built in phono Move 2 RaySo I connect the record player to the Move 2 via aux. this works fine, and sound comes out of the Move only once record starts. Then I need to manually connect the Ray to the Move to hav it play out of both speakers.  But a few things that make player my vinyls less than convenient:  every time a record stops, my Ray disconnects  sometimes the Ray won’t pair with the Move Sometimes there is a lag with the RayAm I possibly doing something wrong? Is there a way to ensure the Ray always connects to the Move when it stays playing the record? Thanks! 

I had the old system for a loooong time. Just set up new system few weeks ago. Had some guests over and using my phone i went to increase the volume of my 300 (kitchen) speaker in the GROUP of 5 speakers... the setting was on 15. I used the slider to increase it to 30 but within seconds it would go back to the original setting of 15. All other speakers dont seem to do this (i have 2 100s and a MOVE 2 and a TV sonos sound bar. 

Hi, I bought a home with 3 Sonos Connect:Apps powering 3 zones with built-in speakers. All fine there. There’s also a Sonos Connect and wires for 4 built-in ceiling speakers labeled right/left Middle and right/left Rear that are meant for the tv.I’d like to have 5.1 sound from the tv (Center, right/left Middle, right/left Rear, Bass) and I’d like the ceiling speakers to link to my Sonos home system to play music as the other zones do.I’m not sure what’s needed.A Sonos App would power the speakers, but not as both Middle and Rear (two zones need two Apps, right?), and I’d still need to do something about a Center speaker or bar. Expensive to have 2 or 3 Apps just to get 5.1 sound from the tv.Or perhaps a receiver to run all the speakers, but then not sure how to connect to Sonos and have the tv ceiling speakers join the other Sonos zones to play music simultaneously.
