Can I connect Sonos one to more recent Sonos speakers ?

Best answer by nik9669a

Sonos One will run on the S2 app, as do all speakers released since then. So: yes, they should work in the same system.

What?????

Why do you want to “disconnect” it, and what does it have to do with this topic?

If you want to disconnect it “again” , do it the same way that you did it before.

Because the Play one was a loan. My problem is that The S2 app don't have a disconnect function

Unplug it from power. The app won’t find it, and after a few days it’ll disappear from your system.

How did you connect the ONE to this system? Was it Factory Reset and you “added” it to this system? If so, you should Factory Reset before returning the unit — else you’ll be sharing music services, playlists and such with the other system. This may not be much of an issue if you own both and consider this to be all one system. For example if you have systems in the city and in the country.

When you move the ONE out of one house it will be shown on its controllers for a few days. This is to accommodate the situation where you may have shut the unit down for a few days while painting or such.

Thank you. I have factory reset the unit before I returned it.

I will await the unit to be automatically removed. Hope it workes 🤞
