Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My room is dead silent, I keep getting this error when doing ‘quick tune’ - “something went wrong, we were unable to custom tune your arc ultra. Please try again”. Only advanced tuning works fine. I’ve tried 5 different devices including android and iOS.  I have Sonos arc ultra. Gen 4 sub, 2 x Era 300s 

I am planning to add an ARC soundbar on my living room TV. I already have 2 ERA 100 paired in that room. I understand my 2 ERA 100 will be able to play music as before and will be used as surround speakers when watching TV. How does this work? What happens if someone is watching TV and at the same time someone else in the house starts playing music in the living room ?I read I will have to unpair the 2 ERA 100 in order to add them as surround speakers. If I do that, what will happen when I want to play music in the living room?I want to make sure I understand everything before buying the ARC.

My Sonos Radio subscription includes a live streaming feed from Radio Klassik Stephansdom. The feed is apparently carried by Tune In.  Recently the feed has been dropped.  How do I restore it?

Trying to troubleshoot my in-laws Sonos PlayBar—not seeing it in the app. I reset the app (S1), nothing. Downloaded the newer app; didn’t see it. Plugged the Ethernet into the WiFi router, nada. Tried to reset the speaker itself by holding the play/pause and mute buttons down while I plugged it back in and the lights never changed from solid white. It hasn’t worked for him for a while—part of the problem is Verizon came in and installed a new router or something and now the optical cable is nowhere to be found. Replacing that is no problem but I should be able to connect the speaker to the local network and at least play music…  thoughts? 

With the new version of Sonos App I just can’t control my move 2 through wi-fi only with Bluetooth. Each time I try to update my speaker an error ocurres 

This has been a recurring theme over multiple posts, and with the holiday and Sonos support not available thought I’d raise this question again. I can’t believe Sonos wouldn’t consider offering extended power cables for the newer devices, similar to their older devices, but here we are, over a year after the Era releases, even with customer demand on these community message boards, and no extended power cables. Has anyone heard about when these will be available for purchase? Thanks. 

HDMI connection randomly stopped working only airplay working now. Have unplugged and restarted several times. 

I have 2 sonos devices.  We recently changed our wifi network.  When we re-linked all of our devices including sonos devices the volume control from google assistant no longer works.  You can put music on and turn it off. But all volume controls including sonos via tv will not work.  As you can imagine, all software updates have been done for sonos, google assistant already.    

Hi, iam trying to set up a Sonos network, so that a wired play 1 is broadcasting a network for another play 1 wireless, a Move and a Move 2 also both wireless through the S2 app with iPhone. The reason for this, is that every time the 4 speakers are set up I lose 100 mgbs down load speed from my already limited 148 mgbs total speed.   Firstly is this possible secondly the support notes to do this are either dated or completely wrong, so can some direction to the correct info if it’s known.      Many thanks in advance

Sonos can’t find (any) new products. Tried to set up ERA 100 speakers by signing in to my previous S1 account. Downloaded new app for S2, but it doesn’t find any products.

I recently bought the Arc Ultra mini sub and two Era 100 speakers. I use the Era 100s as surround speakers, but will their lack of Dolby Atmos support impact the overall surround sound experience?

This is a post to try and help people with their Sonos system dropping off the WiFi network on a regular basis when everything else on the network seems ok.  I contacted Sonos and the technician solved my long term issue. It required me switching off the guest WiFi on my router which I did by logging in as administrator. Easy as that! All now works fine. Apparently my guest WiFi was using up too much bandwidth. Hope this might help. 

I have given up waiting for Sonos to resolve the album fragmentation issue and I thought I would go to the effort of correcting the tags myself to resolve the issue.On the source material the albums have the correct Artist names on each track and Album Name but “Album Artist” is blank. I tried putting “Compilation” in the Album Artist tag as some have suggested. This resolves the fragmented Album representation in Sonos but I notice that this then creates another issue; The Artist is no longer searchable (even though it is correct on each song and appears correctly in the info display).   All the Artists appear under a new “Compilation” Artist. This is sub-optimalHas anyone found a solution for the fragmented album issue that retains the ability to identify and search on each individual artist?   

Hi all looking for some help on how to get a 5.1 working (I think I know answer but would like confirm) current items:Sonos Beam Gen 1Sonos Sub Gen 2Sonos One SL (two) I tried to add two sonos era 100’s today but obviously they didn’t add to the beam gen 1 system on my tv since it only supports 2 speakers.  Question is, if get a new beam, will that solve my issues?  Will I be able to then do the 5.1 system? thoughts and insights appreciated.  thanks!

I’m not that computer savvy but I managed to fix my library issue. I don’t think its a Sonos issue I think its a PC issue (Windows 11). Open your music folder, right click and select properties, click on the sharing tab, click on share (not advanced sharing), in the box just type Sonos, click add, in the box below it should have added “Sonos wireless Hi Fi System, highlight that and click share. It takes a while but it finished. go back into the Sonos app and your library should pop up. Go from there. My system is working. 

Usually I could play on Spotify and my Sonos app would automatically detect it, so my current Spotify song would also appear in the Sonos App and vice versa.Since the last update, it seems Sonos doesn't recognize it anymore and both apps have parallel sessions running. This results in the Sonos speakers not being able to be controlled properly, unless I enter the Sonos app and "re-start" the music accessing through its own app. This seems to be an issue only since the last Sonos update

What is the difference between the Sonos Amp v1 and v2? I have a set of in ceiling speakers but the previous owner of my flat took the Amp so they don’t work and I don’t think I can afford a brand new V2 Amp. Would a Gen 1 Amp do the same job?

On a Samsung smartphone with stylus such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, just hovering the stylus over the volume slider at the bottom of the main app screen causes the full volume control pane to appear. This is very annoying. Please turn this off. If I want to open the full volume control pane I will tap on the volume slider. Hovering is not clicking.Build 80.14.06-release+20241206.affe3de

However, I’ve noticed that the system doesn’t currently support DTS-HD or DTS:X formats, which are still prevalent in Blu-rays and high-quality media content.Are there any plans to include DTS-HD and DTS:X support in future updates, or is this a limitation tied to hardware or licensing considerations? Adding this feature would significantly enhance the system’s versatility for home theater enthusiasts like me.Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I have recently spent a lot of money in India buying the Sonos Beam 2 about 3 months ago as well as the Sub Mini just 3 days ago. I successfully set up the Bheem two and connected it to my Samsung Frame 65. No problem, fantastic sound!! Now to pair the two speakers and to get my subwoofer to work, it has been a complete nightmare. The App just does not work. It keeps taking me around in circles and constantly indicates a failure. Every attempt to pair the two and get my Sub for to work has been a disaster for 3 full days. One minute, it will show the system, both speakers, five minutes later. It will show there is no system. It is completely erratic and refuses to update my system software. My Internet Wi-Fi is excellent. I use it for everything. Being a photographer I own an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have Fiber optic Broadband. I really need a solution to just link the sub to the beam without using the app. Please help, I am getting desperate and very, very frustrated. I have t

With a new setup of Arc ultra, 2 era 300 and a sub4, I only got sound from the arc ultra.Reset the era 300s and the sub and the arc ultra with out getting any surround. The setup of the components went fine, but only arc ultra gave sound. I put the sub 4 on ethernet, but no differance. As a last try, I put the arc ultra on ethernet cable too, and it all worked. Not sure why, but the cables made the system work.
