Yesterday we had a broadband outage for a couple of hours, granted not the end civilisation as we know it but, we were unable to access our local music library as the App would not load.

Why won’t the App load if there is no internet?

Surely if our local network is up and running we should be able to play our own music?

I’m pretty sure you could do this was working in the old App?

Is there any plan to fix this?

Thanks

Geoff

It is supposed to work, see

Where you running the App on a phone? Could the phone have had internet connection via 4G/5G whilst your broadband was not working, ie your phone was not using your LAN, as there was no Internet connectivity?

Where the outage is seems to matter too, ours last outage was a couple levels up the chain and some services were connected to the working levels, some were inaccessible.

Hi Craigski,

We have crappy 4G we we live but I think the point is, why can’t we use Sonos to play our local media library without an internet connection, our LAN was still fully functional.

I’m not 100% certain about this but I think you were able to do this on the old App.
