I have a Sonos System with a oneSL and an Amp. Controlled via Android and my laptop with MACOS. Now I just upgraded tot MACOS 15.1 and Sonos can not find my system anymore.
Firewall is On, but Sonos App and SonosLibraryServer are both allowed incoming connections as said in the instructions.
Setting the Firewall off, does not solve the problem.
Off course the system is there, my androids are still working.
Please advise.

MacOS has a new option that Sonos docs (and support) seem unaware of: “Local network” permission needs to be granted to the app for it to see anything on your local network.

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with your macOS device not connecting to your Sonos system after an OS update.
Please try uninstalling the Sonos app from your Mac and reinstalling it - this will ensure that it still has the permissions needed to operate.
If this does not work, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Running into this today for first time trying to connect via my MacBook app with latest upgrade to 15.2. Was immediately faced with the firewall message and verified the system was in the list. No luck. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling macOS app. Made sure firewall settings included Sonos. Still cannot find my existing system … I have 8+ Sonos devices all showing active and connected on my eeros mesh network. Mac is connected to same network. “Not Connected” is continued outcome. It was working fine prior to macOS upgrade. Works fine on iPhone/IOS current version. Not sure I can address what “controlav” is referring to above.
HELP SONOS!!!

Sorry to hear you are having issues too!
If you don’t know how to adjust the permissions for the app, please remove it from your Mac and reinstall it - the system should prompt to to allow the needed permissions.

That sounds annoying! But, also a bit promising!
Please try restarting the MacBook - it may make a difference. It may also help to reboot your router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds.
Do you have multiple WiFi Access Points? If so, and any of them are WiFi Boosters or WiFi Extenders, you have just found out why they are not supported - please turn them off to see if things improve when they are not involved.

But miraculously: today it is working again.
So in total: 4 places one has to adapt it’s systems settings to accommodate Sonos. I think, this should be done by the app, automatically when installing. And if not: then provide better instructions, it is all very difficult to find.
After the mishap in the app with a local library, this is again not good at all.
Luckily, the hardware is working fine and also the android app.

Regarding the “Local network” setting, Apple do not allow apps to set it (for security reasons) nor to read its value (because they enjoy their customers experiencing pain). The theory is that the first time the app tries to access the local network, the OS asks you to give the app this permission. This theory is the same on iOS, but it has the exact same problems: it doesn’t always ask, and in the case of OS or app updates, sometimes the setting is lost and the app quits working, in a very unobvious way. Also if people decline the option then they will never be asked again, and the app will never work.
If Apple allowed apps to at least determine if the setting is on or not, it would really help apps like Sonos, but they refused to when it appeared on iOS and continue to refuse to today on MacOS.
And yes, I am bitter and twisted about this setting, and have been since its introduction.
