Controllers and Music services

First of all, sorry because English is not my language. I hope to express my feedback correctly. Also I’m new in Sonos, so perhaps I missed something…I’ve spent a small fortune in my living room set up with an Arc, a Sub and two Era 300. After that I was anxious to test Dolby Atmos music, so I replace Spotify first to Apple and then to Amazon music. First shock, when I realised that AirPlay is not able to play in Dolby qality, so the Sonos app use is now mandatory if you want to get all the features you pay for… and then a nightmare starts:You can’t play next or previous song from the blocked screen of your phone. Now I have to unlock the mobile every time I want to change a song. That’s not the way I used to play music before! You can’t change the volume with the mobile buttons. And it’s even more annoying as it’s a common need when you’re listening music. Songs jump when I’m using Apple

I have a Music Library  on a USB drive formatted as NTFS and named ‘MusicLib’, attached in the back of a TP-Link Archer BE550 router. Windows media player can access this shared drive from my Windows desktop without a problem.However, my Sonos system (Beam + One SL) is refusing to see this drive giving an error message “//192.168.0.1/MusicLib is no longer available”.Sonos can access a shared music folder on my QNAP NAS without a problem.Sonos can see and access music files on my desktop without a problem.I don’t particularly want to keep the NAS drive or desktop powered up continuously so that  I can listen to my music, where as the router is permanently ON so having an accessible USB drive attached would be very convenient.Any suggestions for a solution?I should really praise SONOS technical support for spending 90 minutes troubleshooting but could not solve the issue.ThanksElgreco

From yesterday I am unable to play radio or music through my Sonos system . TV audio is fine . I have all the rebooting etc (twice) but it still comes up with service account not available???? I’ve checked all my details 

As reported here:apple music recently played not showing on apple music app after using sonos Apple Music updates to Recently Played in the Sonos App remains an unreliable mess.  Has there been any progress on this matter? 

After many months of frustration periodically trying to restore S2 controller access to my local Apple Music library and collection of FLAC on a (wired) external drive, I finally got both working about a month ago. What a relief...But, sometime in recent weeks (maybe days) both stopped working. I’m getting all the old error messages about Sonos not having access. I don’t think this corresponds to a MacOS update (currently Sequoia 15.7.1) or a Sonos Controller update (currently 17.2 build 9006717), but I’m not sure.I really don’t want to restart the process of trying to reconnect these music libraries. It seemed very flakey no matter what instructions I followed. I’m hoping someone knows of a specific potential cause for this, so I can resolve it with minimal trial and error.P.S. I’m trying to play music from Spotify in ‘Lossless’ quality on my Sonos Amp via Spotify Connect, but the option doesn’t appear. In the Spotify app, it shows (for the Sonos Amp): "This device currently supports streaming qualities up to 'Very high'." "This device is not compatible with lossless audio quality. To listen in lossless, try changing your device." I’ve tried connecting via both mobile and desktop (Mac) Spotify apps and have already followed Spotify’s official “Listen in lossless” steps (https://support.spotify.com/uk/article/spotify-connect/).Has anyone successfully played Spotify Lossless on a Sonos Amp via Spotify Connect, or is this a known limitation? Hello guys, I am very sorry for this topic i am a first time sonos user and it is been asked many many times but i hope there is a solution that is so easy that i can understand. Other users on our wifi network can open the sonos app and look for devices and can control everything.I dont like that and i dont want that because it is a student house and i think,no i know they are gonne play with it on moments i dont like. I have read that I can do it with a seperate router, so i have to connect the amp to that router.        Do I have to put the live internet cable in the wan or lan port of that router and wont i get problems with the other internet system and routers because of ip or subnet settings?                                       I Dont have acces to the provider router thats the main wifi and cabled internet.And does have the amp acces to the network to play spotify.(because when it is in that network it is detectable o

HelloIs there any way of streaming music directly from my phone to Sonos Amp?I've looked at:a usb c to RCA cable with DAC from my phone to the Ampa usb c to DAC and then from DAC to AmpAnd a Bluetooth receiver to RCA plugged into the Amp Not sure which one will give me the best results and whether they'd work.Any thoughts and help appreciated.Thanks 

I’m having a super frustrating issue with my Era 300s stereo paired to a Sub Mini. Every time I AirPlay from my phone, I get the spinning wheel followed by an “Unable to connect to [room]” error. If I tap the speaker again, it connects instantly and after that, it reconnects fine until the next day when the problem repeats. Here’s what I’ve tried with no lasting fix:Rebooting my phone, router, and modem Hard resetting the speakers and the app Swapping routers (ISP issued router > Linksys Velop > Eero Pro 6E) Setting DHCP reservations Calling Sonos support (they just suggested another reset) The weird part is no other AirPlay 2 devices on my network have this problem (HomePods, Apple TVs, LG TV, JBL soundbar) and it’s not isolated to my phone either because I can reproduce this issue on all iOS and macOS devices in the house. It’s not the end of the world, but waiting 20–30 seconds e

Just bought a ERA300 and set it up an hour ago. Usually I listen to music from Spotify but I also have made a few playlist with own produced music, imported to my iPhone as mp3 files. I create a playlist in Spotify on my computer with these files and when I connect my iPhone to the computer it synchronizes the iPhone with the changes I made, the playlist with local files pops up in the iPhone as well. But now I have tried both the “normal” way to listen to these local files from the iPhone via ERA300 connected to WIFI which not worked, and I did not expect it to work either.Then I pushed the small “bluetooth connect” button on the back of ERA300 and connected my iPhone via bluetooth. It still refused to play my mp3 files, when I click on them in Spotify on my iPhone absolutely nothing happens. My thoughts on this is that maybe the WIFI still is connected to ERA300, and this might be the reason that it does not work? I have an issue with Sonos skipping ONLY when playing songs from my digital music library.I am at my wits end and ready to scrap Sonos after a year of frustration and troubleshooting.Until last fall, my home library (80 GB of mp3s) played just fine. Suddenly (sometime between October and November 2024), songs would play about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through and then skip to the next, sometimes it would play just a few seconds. Sometimes it just stops playing altogether. It will be fine for a few songs and then all of a sudden start skipping. It seems to get worse, skipping sooner and more often (until I get annoyed and turn it off). It ONLY affects playing songs from my iTunes music library. There have been no other issues with any other service, including Sonos Radio, Amazon, Spotify; they all play just fine.My system includes 2 x Play:5, 2 x Play:3, Play:1, Sonos Move. I removed the Sonos Bridge during troubleshooting.I have Sonos S1 Controller installed

Hi! After reading different posts, I’m trying to use SVC to forget the app missing features, like the phone-locked controls. Thanks to @nik9669a for his suggestion and details, because I thought SVC also sent my conversations to the cloud and it seems it doesn’t.During my first hours trying, I’ve to say that it understands my Spanish-accent English good enough for simple commands. I can turn on the TV and rise the volume, but for me is not natural, as English is not my mother tongue. Also, he (Esposito) never understands the names of my playlists, because they are in Spanish and plays whatever crosses his electronic mind. I’m discovering interesting and very unknown music, by the way 😅, but it is not the topic. So, I kindly ask Sonos to include Spanish as a new language to speak with SVC. To support that request I’ve to say that Spanish is the second language spoken on Earth (native language) after Mndarin Chinese. 

Pandora always skips. I have a pandora app on my iphone and it plays perfectly there, but on sonos it plays 2-3 songs, gives an error and stops. Is anything wrong with sonos?

2 questions. Can I get rid of/delete TV from your sources and delete Your services completely? also, will the thumbnails ever work properly? Or how do I get them to work properly? 

Hello,I am unable for some time to launch a radio from a title from Spotify from the Sonos app. The app says “the connection to Spotify have been lost”. The connection to Spotify is active (everything else related to Spotify works) I’ve tried to reauthorise the account - changes nothing I have this issue with any titleThank you for your help

Windows app can’t access Spotify or Amazon music - problem connecting. Any attempt to manage music services gives an error saying there is no internet connection  and then the app just hangs. It has to be killed with windows task manager.FYI Mobile Sonos app on the same system works fine and both music services are ok from there - only the desktop app is failing.

As my new SONOS Port won't play M4a or 24bit wav files I(I want play my Chesky hires music files), what alternatives do I have? Other brands?I’ve tried converting them to 16bit wav files, but still won’t play on SONOS. Audacity won’t open them, but $500 laptop plays them fine with Foobar natively! Tried converting them to WAV16bit in Foobar, but they still won’t play. Only way I can get then to play is converting to mp3.

My left surround is 2 feet away and my right is more than 10 feet away.  After doing Trueplay, both surrounds show more than 10 feet away.  Any idea why the surround distance isn’t accurate when doing Trueplay tuning on iPhone?

The alarms were fixed after the app upgrade debacle in 2024, until the latest upstage this week when they've been removed again! (May 2025).The alarm option is still shown in the app but all previously saved alarms have disappeared and you can't save any new alarms you try to create.Even worse, the existing alarms are still in the system somewhere as they still play but there's no way to see, edit, or stop them!!Sonos, please re-fix the alarms! Phantom alarms that still play but we can't edit are a disaster! 

After building a queue , I would like to save it for future use as playlist - this is still possible in the desktop app - but it’s not possible in the mobile app - seems like a bad product decision - generally speaking mobile app is still lacking many features - and the volume management is still terrible also the basic stability and connectivity are lacking - but here I want to focus on Queue to Playlist functionality which is so basic  I would appreciate to know when you expect to add it back 

From yestwrday my S1 system refuses to play soundcloud songs and say that all are encoded inccorrctly. Anyone else experiencing this? Last time I had trouble with Soundcloud service it was a failure with the plugin.. and was fixed centrally.All other services are working fine!Thanks in advance! Are
