The re-instatement of this basic playlist feature has been requested since the mobile App was ‘upgraded’ in May 2024. The wait goes on!
My Android app can do this (see profile).
Sonos rarely announces new features or fixes.
Asking on reddit in the Office Hours topic is likely your best bet to see an answer.
Many 3rd party Apps can do this, as can the Sonos Windows App, but for some unknown reason it has never been reinstated on the IOS App. How hard can it be given the functionality already exists to add tracks you have searched for to a playlist?

You are failing to comprehend just how badly the past CEO screwed Sonos and in particular the development process.
Making any change to a system the new folks barely (if that well) comprehend without breaking other stuff... Well look at the Music Library topics as an easy to follow sample.

May 2024, what an absurd amount of time for them to figure this out. Let’s be honest, they just haven’t bothered to prioritize it. It’s infuriating, especially after all the empty promises about restoring every feature. I agree, the former CEO deserves blame, but he’s been gone for a long time now. At this point, it’s hard not to outright despise how this company treats its customers.
Folks with no (really bad) experience with software development have a hard time understanding just how difficult recovering from bad decisions to the fundamental development process and the loss of folks that actually understand the old software impact usability and moving forward.
A key part of that is picking both the right development process and the right people/company to partner with to start the new system off on a firm foundation and have the knowledge and skills to move forward. Also key is the willingness to tell the truth and not make impossible promises. With no inside knowledge I'd say Sonos may have missed the mark on these.
Been there, done that and until the management is willing to do what is necessary, despite the pain and cost...

What are you saying here? First it was Spence, now it’s the new guy. There’s plenty of blame to share, and May 2024 is an absurdly long time to still be missing basic features.
