(There are other similar topics in these community forums, all closed. None seem to have a solution that works.)When I play music from the Apple Music app on my M1 MacBook Pro to my Sonos Arc or Sonos One over AirPlay 2, there are occassional, random short high-frequency cracking, popping or clicking sounds. They make the music unlistenable.This does NOT happen if I change any of the variables; e.g. there are no errant sounds from the Sonos app (playing Apple Music), the iOS Apple Music app, the Spotify app on the MacBook Pro, or a non-Sonos AirPlay speaker. When I separate the Group to just one of the Sonos speakers, the popping persists, but it is worse on the Ones than the Arc.Sonos phone tech suppport was helpful, but ultimately decided it was an AirPlay problem and that I should contact Apple. I think it is a Sonos/AirPlay issue, and so I feel stuck. Apple will say it is a Sonos issue.Does anybody have any solutions or advice?

I recently separated from my spouse. We had a Playbar, a Sonos One and a Sonos Five. I’ve taken the Five to a new apartment and want to connect it to a wifi signal mediated by a Netgear Wifi Extender. If possible, I’d like to keep my old account including my various subscriptions, preferences etc. I’m on good terms with my spouse, so I can ask her to create a new Sonos account to connect to the Sonos One and Playbar. How do I do all this? I’ve tried following the instructions to fix my Sonos system on the iPhone app several times, without any success. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there, during the day I get multiple drop outs where the audio stops, or I am unable to browse music. I typically use “Music Library\Browse Folders” that points to a Buffalo Linkstation. When it happens, I can open the network share from a Windows10 pc and can see the file exists. I have read a few other articles that suggest encoding, but these are one off tracks within an album, that do play if I press Play (possibly 2nd or 3rd attempt). Any ideas?Diagnostic reference 81528097

Hi all, strange situation  i’ve always used my Sonos system with a library from my Synology NAS, no problem at all.Yesterday tried to use Sonos for some relax but no way to queue files from NAS,  dropped and added again but no luck, the only change in the past was an update on synology from DSM 6.x to the new one 7.0-41890, smb1 was always enabled, i’ve setted SMB minimum to SMB1 and maximum to SMB3.So what i’ve missed ?ThanksDario  

One of my music files plays in iTunes and in an iTunes playlist to which it was added on my iMac. When Sonos is synced (indexed) to this iTunes library, the file can be found and played under artist within Sonos. However, although the file is included in the imported playlist in Sonos, when it is played within that imported playlist, Sonos indicates the file can not be found. I can not see any difference in this file and any other file among the thousands of other files and 70 other iTunes playlist imported to Sonos. Could there be something in the file that allows it to play as an album in sonos but confuses sonos when played from the imported playlist? The file was purchased/downloaded from Qobuz Store. When I inspected the metadata from the Qobuz file it had a weird file name (wrong artists). Don’t know if this could allow stand alone playback in Sonos but not Playlist playback? Weird. “Qobuz support” maintains nothing is wrong with the file even though the file name is wrong!

Searching for anything at all on YouTube Music returns no results whatsoever. I’ve tried both the Android app (S2, v13.2), as well as the Windows app. The subsection “YouTube Music” was active, not “Uploads” Search terms were:[Artists] “big red machine” [Artists] “vernon” [Albums] “how long do you think”TIA-- Jakob

I just got a new MacBook Pro M1 and now I can't connect Amazon Music with either the macbook pro or my android mobile phone, even though it was working fine this morning before I installed the desktop app on the new macbook. Whenever I try to “Authorize” Sonos to connect to Amazon Music, it takes me to an Amazon Error page that just says “We’re sorry, try again.”

Hi I am new to Sonos and to Primephonic.  When I try to save an album, instead of appearing in the My Music folder it appears on the home page as Other.  Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?  Thanks.

I transferred my Sonos system (5 Connect:Amps, 2 Beams, and 1 Connect) to the person who purchased my home.  It looked like everything worked great on the S1 app, but when I logged in to check my Sonos account today I still see the Connect box that I transferred.  How can I transfer that to the new owner’s account? I’ve moved 500 miles away and will not be on the WiFi network where that Connect box now resides, so I’m not sure that there’s anything that I can do.

I subscribe to Amazon Music unlimited in the UK. I have the Amazon Music service installed in Sonos. When I search for an Artist (The Travelling Wilburys) in the app within Sonos they are not found yet this Artist is available when I use the freestanding  Amazon Music app. How do I fix this. I have tried Sonos support and Amazon Music support with no luck. It used to work.

Hello,Since a couple of weeks, it seems I only have one single activity playlist (Romance !) instead of the usual 10 playlists (romance + essentials, fitness, party, etc...). Please refer to screenshot attached. I tried accessing Sonos using a different device and the same issue prevails. Can you please let me know if this is a general issue or am I the only one being affected ? How can this issue be resolved ?Thanks ! NicolasPS : This issue follows a previous issue where number of playlists from Apple Activity Playlists (using Sonos S2 App) were much narrower than the number of playlists provided by the Apple App directly. A bit furstrating !  

Diagnostic 1334398637, occasionally the radio skips back and repeats a few seconds, the radio will later turn off.

In the Sonos app, under “Suggested Services” I see Pandora, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Also, Pandora does not come up in the search box under the “Add a Service” screen. Please advise. 

I’m an AV integrator and my clients love “Milano Lounge” on Tunein and saved it as a favorite. Now this station doesn’t appear on Tune-in or Sonos Radio and I have to add the URL to their radio stations. I have to tell all my client how to do so or do it for them. Why? This doesn’t happen on other devices with native Tune-in apps like Control4, HEOS, Marantz, my mobile app. Why is this happening only on SONOS? 

This problem pops up randomly a few times each year.  My Stitcher account works fine every but Sonos and almost always works fine on my Sonos system, but once again, it says “unable to browse music.”  How do I rectify this  And how do I avoid having the problem occur again?  I submitted diagnostics 1746632828.  Happy New Year to the community. :-)

Hi! I've bought 2 play 5 2nd gen devices. A year ago i had no troubles, but from that time y had troubles with one of them.  When i turn on de Spotify app and play a song for the first time, it often sounds with no delay, but after 3 o 4 songs it begins the lag or delay. It could take until 30 seconds.I've updated sonos and spotify app, and nothing happens.  After 1 or 2 hours it begins ok, then fail after 3 or 4 songs again.Please, i need your help. Its a dissguse to take a pause to enjoy my inversion with one of the best audio sistem and get frustrated with this issue.

Hello, I configured Plex on my QNAP NAS and of course I made the server remotely accessible.I added the Plex service to my Sonos but the only things I see are public media.My personal music library is not visible.What’s wrong? Thanks 

Trying to play a single episode of a podcast from the Stitcher service via the app doesn’t work.  If I am in the Stitcher Podcasts section of the app and select an episode and “Play now’ i get the error message “Unable to play <podcast episode name> - access is denied.’  However, if i just select the episode itself, it will play, only it also adds every single other episode of the podcast to my queue, so if I have music or other podcasts already in the queue, they are all moved down hundreds of places.  It’s extremely annoying and the error is completely uninformative.  It is definitely not an access issue, since the same episode will play if all episodes are added to the queue.  This happens consistently with any podcast.  Very frustrating bug.

Hi, I have aquired a Used Sonos ZP80 and added to my S1 system, after it added it showed update available but when I try to update it states the App needs updating but My S1 app is up to date.Now even if I power off the ZP80 it states my app needs updating every time I try to add a device. My app version is 11.2.9  Build 57688280My other working ZP80 is Version 11.2.9  Build 57688280.the newly added ZP80 is version 9.3 Build 47259120. I have used 2 ZP100s and another ZP80 to add bought from the same person. Any advice much appreciated.Mark

I have the S1 SW on my PC.I cannot update the music library because all the features under Manager are dimmed.Ideas, here? The SW version I have is 11.2.2.I don’t think I can update the software due to an issue with S1 controller on my iphone, and my iPhone’s iOS being older.

Since last week my Sonos has been unable to play local radio stations through either TuneIn or myTuner radio. “Main” BBC radio stations like Radio 1 and 2 still work, but local radio just gives me a BBC message stating that either technical problems contractual restraints means the content is not available. anyone else? Or just me. 

I have a Google phone (Pixel 3a).  I want to hear a lecture I found on the web and is now playing on my phone, but I want to hear it on my Sonos speaker.  How do I do that?  My Sonos 1 account only wants to play “playlists”.  So…..what do do? THANKS!!!

This started last week. I was literally listening to a station, then it stopped. I did find previous topics, but uninstalling/reinstalling Amazon Music has not worked. I’ve reset Sonos but have not uninstalled Sonos.  I’m on an iPad. Pandora and Sonos Radio work.
