Septembet 15 2023 BBC sounds has just stopped working on Sonos 2 system. Asked me to reauthorise which I did and the BBC app seemed to think it had connected / authorised fine. "Go back to your sonos app"Sonos still says I need to reauthorise; did it  again same result. Tried deleting the BBC SOUNDS from sonos and started from scratch. Same problem…Anyone else experiencing this ? Any advice gratefully received.Naunton

After the 15.2 Update (build 72239150) .  Some of my Sirius XM channels, will play, others will not.  Same problem whether I use the mobile app or my desktop controller.  

So I’ve been having this issue for a couple months now. I’ve seen some of the other threads. I do NOT have cross fade turned on. Spotify regularly skips when playing from Sonos app, and gets really bad with specific songs which I don’t get at all. I’ve restarted router, unplugged all products, and I’m considering downgrading to S1 to see if that helps. Any advice or tech support is greatly appreciated.

There seem to be a million threads on converting/exporting playlists out of Sonos, but I want to convert a playlist from Spotify into a Sonos playlist.  I want to do this so that I can add songs to the playlist that do not appear on Spotify.

I would like to place a feature request for more flexibility regarding Hi Rez music streaming please . As bandwidth restrictions for most  people are not as onerous as in the past, there isn’t a need to brute force restrict streams to only 24/48kHz .  it would appear that hi rez only gets decoded by Sonos  at the 24/ 48kHz rate if the stream is just that . Anything above that gets downgraded to CD standard .   Can’t we have the functionality of say Netflix which can assess what a customer’s bandwidth is and then allow program resolution accordingly ? I’m sure S2 compliant products have hardware more than capable to decode at any rate . It’s a shame it’s not been utilised at the moment . 

I am considering buying a pair of the 5 speakers. I have not totally wrapped my head around the usage on a day-to-day basis. I think the Sonos app is used to set stuff up, like EQ, but from then on you just use the iOS app of choice - e.g. Music, Sonos, whatever. You basically forget the Sonos app until something changes. My concern is the wife having to do anything more than firing up Music and playing.

Is Sonos ever going to get their Boost to work with Mac’s Ventura?  If not just say so and too bad deal with it!  This has been going for like year now.  Is this Sonos just trying to get me to buy newer HW like HP did? 

I accidentally put a thumbs down on my FAVORITE SONG. How do I find it to put in back into my Pandora station's playlist??

My S2 app on iPad keeps crashing. S2 app is up to date, as is iOS.Anyone else having this problem?

I’ve gone through “Let’s fix it” countless times. It says it can’t find the network. The cell phone and Sonos are on the same network, but it always says they are not and wants me to “fix it”, but that sequence of steps doesn’t work. However, If I unpower the S3 speakers and plug them back in, the S2 app on my Samsung works until I’m no longer using the app. It would be helpful if the app said what network it thinks Sonos is on. How can that be checked (it’s not in the app details). I have three laptops that see the network just fine same as my cell. I do have another network, but so what? What do I have to do to get the app to work consistently? Please consider fixing the app so the Sonos network can be entered manually without going through “fix it”. 

For every additional track i “like”, Sonos drops one off at the end of the list so all I see are 195 but I ghave much more.On the Soundcloud app, I can see all my “liked” tracks.Any idea what this is all about?Thanks in advance,

I have changed from a Windows Server2012 to a Synology DS920+.Sonos can successfully index its Media Library from a music share on the Synology NAS with or without the SMB1 NTLMv1 tweaks mentioned frequently in this forum. From that I agreed that Sonos has successfully removed the SMB1 issue. I am using the S2 controller. Because I have a very large music collection, only a subset (wife’s classical) is on the share and is available via the Sonos Media Library. I successfully accessed the full collection via  MediaMonkey configured as a media server on the Server2012.I’ve set up both the Synology Media server and a Plex Media server, neither of which appear in the Sonos music sources list. They do appear (and work) on all other devices on my LAN (PCs and TVs).A Twonky Media server on an antique Zyxel NSA310 likewise does not appear as a source on Sonos.Currently the only way that I have found to access my whole connection is to run MediaMonkey configured as a media server on a PC, with

As of this morning I get the following message when trying to play ‘Virgin Radio UK’ on S1:“Unable to play Virgin Radio UK - the song is not encoded correctly.”It is working as usual on S2.I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the Virgin Radio service on the S1 app.

I was having trouble playing podcasts through Pocketcasts on Sonos. This happens regularly and usually reauthorizing the app fixes it. Not this time. So I tried removing Pocketcasts from Sonos and adding it back. I get the following error message:Error. Unable to add Pocketcasts accountI'm logged into Pocketcasts on my phone and it's working fine on every other device EXCEPT Sonos. I've also tried resetting the Sonos app and restarting my Internet router. According to Sonos, Pocketcasts is not experiencing an outage.Any ideas?  

Hi all. Hope you can help. I bought playbar and trying to listen music from my iPhone 6s throughout playbar. Like YouTube or my own one. But I can not connected. I tried airplay but don’t find sonos playbar on my phone. Has anyone got any ideas to fix this. Many Thanks in advance. Patryk  

Hi guys,Since the last two days I have problems to play my uploaded music from my YouTube Music free account. When I try to play a song the Sonos app says“Fehler beim Hinzufügen von Titeln zur Liste (701)” (maybe “Error adding songs to list (701)” in English?)I already tried to remove the YouTube Music service and re-added it.Do you know what I can do to solve this problem?

I seem to have no access to my SiriusXM app through SONOS.  Is there some reason this is happening?  This is sudden as of a few days ago.

My system turned south today for no apparent reason. Running firmware 15.9. Same thing happens on iPad, running 16.6.1 and iPhone. So far it happened on only Atmos songs, have not tried others.lt plays for a minute or so, and then shows the message not encoded correctly, and then jumps ahead 1 or 2 songs, and repeats. Running Apple Music from the Sonos app. ERA300s set to stereo mode. Help, this is the first real problem I have had with Sonos!!

I have 4 Sonos Play speakers, fibre Wi-Fi with a network extender. I repeated lose connection to the speakers and often lose a speaker from the app altogether. I can always resolve the issue by following rectification process described but it is extremely frustrating because it is frequently happening. Is there something I can do to eliminate or at least reduce the occurrences of these issues?

I’ve seen a topic about this from 2 years ago.  None of those solutions is helping me.  I’m trying to add iHeartRadio to my Sonos services.  The Sonos app tells I need to authorize the service and gives me a 5 digit code to enter.  It then sends me off to Safari to enter this code.  However, it appears the phone is auto-filling that 5 digit number for me (perhaps incorrectly?) - but then the web page tells me that I did indeed successfully authorize my Sonos system to my iHeartRadio account.  So I’m pretty sure the code was entered correctly.The problem is when I try to use iHeartRadio it constantly tells me that the account needs authorized.  This is very frustrating.

My system is stuck in a permanent “Tune in” introduction.  Just the declaration that Tune In is starting followed by an ad, over and over again.  Never getting to the radio station 

Hi, after upgrading both my Mac mini and macbook pro to Sonoma 14.0 I noticed that Sonos One works only in wireless mode. It works in ethernet mode only for apple Music app  and Sonos music services app and not, for example if music or voice is played through youtube. A contact with an Apple specialist told me that other people issued the same problem, and that a new OS release could solve the problem; after about 10 days the situation didn’t change. Like others, I’m pretty miffed at that disappearance of the hardware volume control on the iPhone. The in-app slider is just too sensitive. It’s often difficult to get it to settle exactly on “1” for example (which is too loud now for some reason … another story). A simple solution would be to add + and - buttons at each end of the slider like the bass and treble controls.   Why don’t Sonos do that? Seems like a no brainer after the loss of the hardware buttons. 

I have a Sonos system with a Western Digital NAS, and in the spring I upgraded Sonos to S2.From the S2 app, I can see my NAS and select albums, songs, etc. I can also search ("classic search") and get results from both Spotify, TuneIn, etc. - incl. my NAS's "music library".But when I select "try the new search" - I get no results from my NAS.Others who have experienced the same?Is there a solution, or is it a "feature" - where Sonos "forgets" that there are also NAS users among their customers?(playback from the NAS is no problem, so I don't think it's a "protocol problem")RegardsMartin Frøland

I have a large collection of music on my PC and my iTunes library feeds my SONOS library. But I notice that some are missing from SONOS. To take an example, I have 9 albums by the band Santana on iTunes and all of them play OK via iTunes. But only 5 of them are available on Sonos. These ones that do are all either MP3 or M4A files. The others are all WAV files. Does Sonos not recognise WAV files? Have I got to go back and convert all of the WAV files in my collection to (say) MP3?
