I see others have had this problem, too, but comments have been blocked for some reason. Maybe because there's no solution yet? But every time I open the Sonos app if I have music playing the volume shoots up to 100%. I don't touch any buttons or sliders or anything, it does it all on its own.

Since you can easily recreate the issue every time you open the app, submit a diagnostic and contact Sonos Suppprt to discuss the issue.

In the meantime, I would set a volume limit on the impacted speakers.

In every reported resolution, it has been a stuck button, either on a controller device (check your phone/tablet), a speaker  (Wipe down the speaker with a damp cloth, or turn off the volume controls for the speaker in the controller), or a remote control (hidden under a couch, etc, but only on soundbars). There has yet to be a software issue.
