AirPlay to my Era100 from my iPhone music library was working yesterday. It is not today, but it works from the radio channels from the Sonos App. Chatted with the help centre. Made me switch to Bluetooth. Ok, it works but the sound quality is clearly worse, which is what I was impressed with, great sound via Airplay.Anyone experienced this?I will submit a new request to Sonos.

Can I use Spotify connect with Play:3 and Play:5 generation 1 ?The reason I want to use Spotify connect, rather than just the Sonos app, is the iPhone will be in Spotify offline mode (and hence playing playlists previously downloaded), purely to save data.It’s being used in a garage with no PC, or broadband, but there is a 4G router (with limited monthly data). I tend to listen to the same playlists, so it’d be daft to use data for no reason.I tried it today, and none of the speakers showed up in Spotify connect, though the same iPhone works fine on my home Sonos set-up which is multiple Move:1 Gen 1, and an Amp Gen 1. Sonos app working fine in the garage set-up, with Spotify account, but data use too high as mentioned.It’s a new iPhone set-up (recently reset), with a fresh install of Sonos S1 and Spotify.cheers 

I’ve just put Sonos Era 100 in my workshop. But “workshop” isn’t an option I can choose as a room name. Is it possible to customise the list of rooms that Sonos provide??

I was one of the many users who experienced issues with the app re-write, but slowly, very slowly most the issues were fixed. Then a few weeks back there was a minor app update, supposedly to fix bugs and improve reliability, but it has had the opposite effect for me. Issues have included:* Being logged out repeatedly* Having individual speakers disappear - particularly my Beam.* Having the entire system temporarily disappear* Having my favourites or recently played lists grey out / disappear.Nothing has changed on my network. Its a simple single wifi router network in a freestanding house with little network interference. Router is a ~9 months old mid-range TP-Link.This is driving me nuts. I was finally not detesting using this system and now I'm back to wondering about the resale value.Have others noticed recent downgrades in reliability? What can be done? 

There is still one big issue for me regarding to volume control of grouped rooms. In the past the most comfortable way to set all grouped rooms to the same volume level was setting the main slider to zero. Then you immediately were able to raise volume for all grouped rooms at the same level.Now I have to wait for about 8 seconds!!! after setting to zero before I can raise volume in sync. Otherwise the grouped rooms won’t set to zero.I really hope Sonos will find a way to get this sorted. A maximum of 2-3 seconds to wait would be welcome for me, or an optional button in group control would be fine to activate synced volume for all grouped rooms (maybe at level of the most „silent“ room of the group).  

As per the Oligo Airborne announcement, some high level exploits using AirPlay have been made public.  Tow of them - CVE-2025-24132 & CVE-2025-30422  affects Speakers and Receivers made with AirPlay SDK. Can someone from Sonos comment on whether Sonos products are susceptible to exploits, and if so, when they will be patched, and any products that may not be patched?thanks,Rob

I noticed that after updating the app and speaker firmware, when I unmute by clicking the mute button, the volume jumps back to what I set it to but no music plays from that speaker. After a few seconds it drops to 0. This only happens with airplay. This is not happening when using bluetooth or playing directly from the app. 

Given the system/configuration: Room 1 with a TV/Ray and Era 100, and adjoining room 2 with a TV/Ray. Sourced from room 1’s Ray, but muted so that sound is only playing from the room 1 Era and room 2 Ray.It is awesome that Sonos supports this configuration. However it is impossible (so far as I can tell) without the Sonos app to restore this configuration when it is lost. And, even with the app, it can still take several steps (and become frustrating) to restore it exactly as described, and very challenging to train someone unfamiliar with the app (i.e. just make it work they tell me).So my question is what is the easiest way to set / restore that configuration?I have tried, for example, to use Sonos Voice (talking to the Era since the Ray’s done support voice), e.g. “hey Sonos, source room 1 ray from the TV” almost works but breaks the TV/Ray off from the original group (and starts playing the

If you’re getting a “password incorrect” error when you’re trying to connect your SONOS product to your WIFI, below is what is likely wrong (*Spoiler alert, it is likely NOT that you entered the wrong password, accidentally copied and pasted a space into your password, or used a “tricky” special character). The culprit is most likely that your SONOS component (or app if you are a S1 user) is a model that cannot connect to your router’s current setting...BUT...you can probably do a quick setting change to your router to fix the issue. For example, my old Connect Amp running S1 needs my router to be set to 2.4 ghz and 802.11g. My new router broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5 ghz (so no issue there), but it defaults to 802.11n only. I had to access the router’s settings and switch it from 802.11n only to 802.11 n+b+g to finally get passed the dreaded “password incorrect” error. If you’re curious what WIFI mode your SONOS component is compat

I am on version 16.1 and I have not updated the Sonos app since the major meltdown with the release in May of 2024. I have seen all sorts of posts on the web as well as within the forum but it all gets complicated to know for sure whether I can finally come out of the woods and count on Sonos to deliver.My music is ALL on my local Synology NAS. I use PLEX to select from my nearly 1,000 playlists. I am in the media/radio business so it’s all part of my deep and robust library to fit my whatever mood.  I NEVER stream using Spotify, iHeart Radio and other streaming options.  I have all the music I want and need and continue to add to my library.  If the group could confirm my questions/concerns below, I would be grateful. And if you can share any screenshots of areas showing that it’s working, that would be appreciated.Will my local library show on the latest version of Sonos? Hi,New Sonos user here, just bought an ERA 100.  Have it all configured the way I want it, sounds great, but am having a problem with personal playlists with Spotify.  Spotify is connected just fine, I have a premium subscription, I can play anything I want through the Sonos with it using the Spotify app, BUT it seems to have difficulty finding some of my personal playlists using voice commands.If I say “Hey Sonos, play ______ playlist from Spotify” it works sometimes, but other times it ignores personal playlists with the exact name I gave and and jumps to some other playlist (not my personal one) that has a similar-but-not-the-same name.My list names are not complex.  For example, “Female Vocalists” works fine, but “Dance Music” does not.  Asking for the former results in hearing that playlist, asking for the latter results in playback of a similar playlist from somewhere else on Spotify.The interweb thinks there’s somewh

I use m3u playlists created elsewhere to play my SMB shared music on Sonos.The playlists are imported/added through folder add in library.All files are on the same share, in the same folder structure.The playlists are added properly as far as I can see in the (Windows) desktop app and it plays fine when I hit shuffle until it stops randomly. I can see (on screen and in the useless help/log) that Sonos desktop app thinks the share does not exist (or the file, the wording points to the whole share) "Unable to play XX - the share //XX does not exist".It was playing just fine until this. So I hit play manually on the songs it thinks it cannot access and sometimes they play right away, sometimes Sonos keeps stating the same error for a few tries and then plays it anyway. I’ve also seen it playing a file while simultaneously saying that it cannot play it because the share does not exist.What is this? Is there any better logs than the help/error lo

Why do i have to appeove my YouSee account on Sonos every second day?? If i dont do it i cant play music. 

Just pulled my old pair of Play 5 Gen 1s out for a listen. They still sound so good.  Does anyone know if they are capable of playing a lossless stream from Apple Music?  I’m playing it but there’s no “lossless” logo appearing as it does in the new Sonos app when using a compatible speaker.  I found a list of Sonos devices that don’t support lossless and the Play 5 isn’t on it so I assume it can support it - I’m just unclear whether it’s actually playing lossless due to the lack of the lossless logo.  EDIT - I’ve confirmed that Deezer HiFi is supported as you can see the track format is showing as FLAC.  Here’s the list of devices from Sonos: ”Can all Sonos products stream lossless audio from Apple Music?Most Sonos products can stream lossless audio from Apple Music. Arc Ultra soundbar is my first Sonos piece. I cannot use it because it keeps demanding I sign in as system owner.

My system is a Roam, OneSL, Play:1 and Connect.  All four appear in the app and disappear, reappear if I recycle the power on an individual unit. For some reason both the OneSL and Play1 are no longer able to play. When I select a source on the App I get “Couldn’t play content, try again” and “something went wrong” This has only occurred recently, but can’t identify any specific date. Nothing in my network has changed.Both the Roam and connect perform as normal. Any clues?

Hi,When playing music from the the Sonos App on Apple Music, I keep encountering connection issues - songs not being able to play or skipping or play halfway and skip…This issue happened last year, with one of the App update, this issue seemed to be resolved for the most part until recently. Recently, I have not been able listen a full album or playlist on Apple Music. The issue appears to be more severe when playing Dolby Atoms format, but also happens to other lower quality formats too. Only when playing on Apple Music.I tried remove Apple Music and re-add, reset my systems etc. Not helping. Contacted Sonos support multiple times, they kept defer this to my wifi connection/interference, which does not make sense as this is not happening when playing music on Spotify.Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello, what does error 1066 mean, please ?I reset all my speakers (system suddenly not found), and this message appears when the update check begins just before the speaker installation process is complete and I have no choice and I have to leave the configuration.PS : I haven't changed any of my network settings. The message of my screen capture in english is : A problem occurred while checking for the update. 

 Some songs come through really loud and others quiet. I believe this has something to do with dynamic range compression & mastering. I think the spotify app allows this as an option if using airplay. I see that Sonos doesn’t have this currently. They have volume limit, but thats not what I’m looking for. Any ideas if this is a future feature or how to request this as one?Note: I’ve seen other topics related to NOT wanting volume normalization and/or respecting meta tags from other sources. But, this question is more about an option to auto apply volume normalization across music and services. This way regardless of how the song is mastered all songs will be roughly at the same volume level. Its exhausting having to change the volume when different songs play on a playlist either from a music service attached to sonos or from a sonos playlist.

Most posts on the forum are to do with issues and complaints.  I thought I’d write a positive post (for once).  Whilst the app is still not perfect and there’s still missing functionality (often adding a song to the queue or play next results in an error even though it works!), I’m finding it much more stable.For my particular case, even before the new app caused so many issues, I had connectivity issues resulting in delays between stopping/starting music and not finding speakers temporarily.  I’ve noticed over the last few months that these issues have reduced massively.  Speakers are no longer getting “lost”.  Pressing play/pause is generally reactive, as is the volume control.  It feels now I have a system that is usable and I don’t have to play music via spotify connect each time (it means I can now play music from my library!)I’m hoping this stability continues - having had sonos speakers for over a dozen years where they “just worked”, I’d be glad to get back to

Today I go to play Anghami on my Sonos 1 app not the S2 as at home I have some older components but it said that Anghami is longer available. I thought it was a bug and removed it but then I went back to add it where I found out that it is not available to add as a music service in the Sonos app. Any idea on how to proceed with this problem??????

Hi everyone,Is anyone else struggling with the new app…I’ve just upgraded my internet to 450mbs and still it takes my app at least 10 mins to start playing anything!!????Also my Era100 surrounds and sub keep dropping out then on again randomly…any advice would be appreciated!!Ive had SONOS for about 7 years now and I’m really considering taking it out of the house as it’s so frustrating at the moment!!🫣😡😡

Has anyone found, created or known a way to play the YouTube music video in the Sonos app to be able to enjoy the video in The computer application while enjoying the music with the Sonos system?

I note the latest Android / IOS App  includes Playlist editing with the caveat:- 80.18.23 (Android)80.18.25 (iOS)Release date: 31/03/2025In this update:Ability to create and edit Sonos playlists Gradual rollout: This feature will be available to all users over time  Having installed this I don’t see any playlist editing features so my question is: What is the timeline for making this feature available to all?   and will it require another update to activate it ? 

Applied latest Sonos app version today on my iPad Pro with current iOS.  I still can’t play any Amazon music playlists from Recently Played or Sonos Favorites on my dashboard: “content unavailable.”  I have to choose Amazon Music, playlists, and choose the playlist every time for it to work.  This has been going on for months.  Same problem happens when I login to the Sonos web version.  Is there a fix for this?
