Trying to update 80.20.34 with iOS this evening. After this was complete the iOS screen asked  for the “system software” ?? to be updated. I have tried this twice without success, the first time an error message said to try again.  I now appear to be in a loop, with the software showing the message, Finishing update. Please wait.Is there another source for this upgrade please ?  Am I doing something wrong?  ( Using the latest iOS software ) Thank youMike

Running latest versions incl android app from May 2025.Some days when an alarm (Spotify playlist) goes off, pressing Snooze do not work (no response pressing the button). Pressing the Continue listening button results in a dimmed app that do not accept input. It do not help to restart the app (that will show the alarm popup again with the same result). Instead I can swipe or click outside the alarm popup to close the alarm popup and then I can stop the playing with no issues (but stop instead of snoozing).I have not tested it, but it feels like it happens once a week. I will monitor if it only happens on Wednesdays (same playlist). My alarms play a different Spotify playlist from Monday to Friday at 6:35.The problem started within 1-2 months, so I think after an update in april. 

At the end of my tether with Sonos… yet another problem presented by them today!Went to use the windows app on my laptop and it asked me to set up, working perfectly alright yesterday and now it won’t connect to my Connect gen2.The strange thing is that it’s working fine on my iPhone app… any ideas?

 I’ve been away from this community for a while due to the slow Sonos updates.  After some time you just give up and hope down the road something is done to address the issues you care about. I am once again going to state the most important issue I would like to see addressed.  Please fix the not so perfect gapless playback when playing ATMOS music that requires a seamless transition when changing tracks.  A clicking noise or very short silent portion is unacceptable. The best test of this is any Atmos version of Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring.  The transition between track 2 & 3 is obvious.

What's happening with the Sonos App. My set alarms disappear and I can't make new ones, my mudik service also disappears. Now Sonos has become bad to use again. It happens everyday now, fix it now or have to find something better than Sonos. Well I uninstalled and reinstalled it. There were alarms that briefly disappeared and came. but they will definitely disappear again. No recommendation of Sonos from my side.

Has there been any official word from Sonos that acknowledges that they removed the alphabet scrolling ability within the with the disaster update last year (that is, the ability to scroll through a large library by jumping to the letters of the alphabet)?  And if so, has there been any indication on when (or even if) that previous functionality will return?

Airplaying from macOS to an Era 100 does not work. The speaker is discovered, but when I try to select it, I get a generic error saying “Could not connect to “<Speaker name>””.This is highly specific to macOS (laptops in my case, 3 of them) and the Era 100.Using Airplay on macOS to my other Sonos products (Port, Beam, Play:1) works without issue. Direct play from Spotify on macOS to the Era 100 works as well.Likewise using Airplay from an iPhone to the Era 100 works.Sonos chat support was unfortunately unable to help after extensive troubleshooting, will have to call in, but judging by other posts, this seems to be a Sonos issue considering its specific to one speaker model.If anyone has had any luck getting an answer from their phone support it would be appreciated to post the solution here. Otherwise I fear that there is nothing to do but wait for Sonos engineers to prioritize this.

It seems that the alarm setup is not anymore available. When I create an alarm in the settings, it is now impossible to save it. What can we do?

I’m really struggling to get full access to my Amazon music library i know the limitations on playlists of 500 tracks which to be honest varies at any given timebut trying to search my full library seems limited to the first few hundred artists I want to browse my whole Amazon artist or track list and can’t understand why it’s so difficult.the spotty performance of the software is bad enough but this make me want to sell my system as it so frustrating. All I want is a playback medium not a third party filter 

Why in the new app when you open the queue doesn’t the song that’s playing automatically populate to the middle of the screen like it used to? When I open the queue now it always starts at the top so if I have a long playlist I have to scroll through to figure out where I’m at. And it’s not overly obvious which song is playing. 

I don’t understand quite how none of these three things manage to truly work together or deliver on their promise. I tell myself it’s great that these things work together at all. But more often than not:Airplaying to multiple speakers in Mac Music doesn’t work reliably. Even when they do connect to 3+ simultaneous sources, they often cut out. Meanwhile, in the Sonos app it is far more reliable connecting to speakers, even after playback has started somewhere else. But then I can’t see all my playlists — some are missing even after reauthorizing. So I’m forced to do things like start music in Mac Music, then switch over to Sonos to make sure that it’s playing where I want. Because I can’t reliably use airplay there to start playback on multiple speakers. Usually it taps out after two sources. Is that because the Sonos App isn’t leveraging airplay at all, instead its own internal 2.4GHz network? Why wouldn’t Sonos be able to see all my playlists?

We have several cell phones connected to the speaker system via my account. I have been able to log in and access my services on every device, except for one (my daughters phone). I can see our speaker system in the app, but not log in to access our services. When I click “log in”, I repeatedly end up on the page below (cannot be reached). I'm also unable to open the sonos website in the Chrome browser on that device while I'm connected to the wifi (the same wifi that recognized my speaker system on that same device!). When I turn the wifi off, I can open the Sonos website over mobile data and log in, but when I turn the wifi back on, the services are not available in the app. I've read through several chats and followed many steps (reinstalling the app, restarting devices and routers, clearing caches etc), but nothing seems to work. Grateful for your advice. 

I have the Arc with 2 Play 1s and a sub as my setup for the family room. I am an android user and have been using my android phone to adjust the audio but obviously, I know that trueplay only works with iPhones and some iPad models.Moving forward, I had a iPad (10 gen), that I know is not compatible with sonos trueplay feature. I upgraded to iPad 11 (A16 chip) after I read all the requirements from the sonos website that will accept the sonos app. To my dismay, I found out first hand that it is not compatible to use trueplay. I called sonos tech support before I made that purchase and asked if the iPad 11 (A16 chip) will be compatible with trueplay - they agreed that it will work. I have proven that they themselves are wrong.I bought the iPad from Bestbuy where they sell sonos products and apple products. I asked their knowledgeable reps (Geek squad and also floor sales), made them read the iPads that will work with trueplay, and they recommended highly the iPad 11 Air (M3). Well, gues

Out of absolutely nowhere when I launch the Sonos app from my iphone 16ProMax I started getting “No System Found” errors. I go through the process of connecting my Roam again which in turn lets the app see one of my Sonos 1 speakers in the same room. Pretty much every time I launch the app the last few days I have to go through this process.Now I’m getting “No WiFi connection” although I only have one wifi SSID; my sonos system was set up on it, and it’s the SSID my phone uses.What gives?

Last few days I’ve started having issues out of the blue with my Sonos system / app. I have a play 5 first gen, couple of play 1s, play 3 , sonos bridge and an ikea collab speaker. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, my wifi is stable and no changes. My operating systems are all up to date including Sonos app. Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing this? As someone who invested in Sonos in the earlier days I don’t have the funds to replace them and am frustrated by this situation. 

Hello all, at the moment when using “folder view” on the new app, there is no “add to queue” option on a folder, so if I go into a folder holding a collection of MP3s I can’t “add to queue” the whole folder content like I  used to do on the old app. I know you can use the non-folder view but this is the functionality I want to use. Is there a “wish list” anywhere to make sure options we want get recorded somehow?This is I think the only thing stopping me from moving to the new app at the moment, I have one speaker on the new app with my remaining 15 or so on the old app, waiting for it to work in a manner that suits me.

The latest release notes for 80.20.33 (Android) on 05/08/25 indicates this was included:  “For locally-stored music libraries, making it possible to queue entire folders”.  However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.  Anyone else having any luck?  In fact, I notice that I now have 2 issues: 1. There is still no option to add entire folders from my music library to a queue (nor replace queue, add to end of queue, play now, etc.).  This hasn’t existed since the wonderful app “upgrade” almost a year ago.  I’ve made do by using the desktop app to modify queues, create playlists, etc. which is a real pain.2. However, now I noticed that I can no longer add/replace/play my existing music library playlists (.m3u) to a queue either.  Sometime over the past several months this became an option… but when I try to do it now, it just spins and nothing happens.  So, I’ve gone backward in functionality once again... and it’s getting really old. Anyone else having similar problems and/or workarounds? 

Sonos S1 Controller for Mac Version 11.15Mac Mini running Sequoia 15.4.1Music app (old iTunes) library: Macintosh HD\Users\OWNNAME\Music\iTunesProblem: I am unable to add my music library to Sonos even though the path name is correct. My library is now empty and no matter what I have tried, I cannot get it back.I noticed a few months ago that my iTunes playlists do not update anymore under “Imported Playlists” in my Sonos controller. I also noticed that the file iTunes Music Library.xml had not updated for a while. Despite this, new music downloaded from the iStore would update in Sonos. I have also become aware that the Music app now uses the file “Music Library” in the folder Macintosh HD\Users\OWNNAME\Music\Music, which updates every time i open the Music app.To try and fix the problem with the playlists, I tried a few things:1. Export the iTunes library and copied this to the iTunes subfolder with the correct name (iTunes Music Library.xml) and re-added the Music folder.​​​​​​​2. C

We have been very patient with Sonos to fix the app that controls the Sonos system.The app frequently disconnects and cannot find the speakers. When it is connected trying to change the volume is either very very slow or will not work. Same goes for trying to change the channel.Will Sonos ever do a proper job and have a working full functional app for their system, or should we give up with Sonos.?

Tried linking Music library in Imac and system says not able as firewall settings preventing. Looked at Firewall and does not seem to be so as setting seem fine.

I have arthritis and the volume slide bar is so small and I only adjust from 10 to 20 which is the first 1/16 of the slide bar. Is there a way I can just type the volume number in? Or can I make the slide bar bigger? Or have a plus or minus buttons to adjust the volume?

I have a personal playlist on Amazon Music Unlimited of approx 300 songs. Whilst it can be loaded into Sonos via the Sonos App if shuffle is selected only 200 tracks are queued (recent additions to the playlist are not included in the shuffle). Is this a known issue that will be fixed in future? 

Hello, I have issue with Airplay with Era 100 on my macbook (M2), ipad and iphone. The speaker are seen but when i try to stream i get an error “could not connect to xxxx” I can use the sonos app and stream tunein without any problem.I have all os up to latest version and trying restarting everything and same issue,How can i solve the problem ? Thanks  

I had to change my rooms.So my Sub, Playbar and two Play1 have been reset to factory defaults so I could do it properly.But when I connect them the process takes a very long time and I get the message: The product has been added, but may not be visible. Please unplug and fix it in system settings.But it doesn't work and a new group (Living Room) is just created. Question:1. Can I delete these rooms (Living Room)2. Can I delete speakers and then add them again, as a new speaker  

If you are missing the Alarms tab in the iPhone iOS app normally found in Settings, here is one possible reason and solution:Location permissions is off therefore the Date & Time time zone is not set. This will result in the Alarms tab disappearing from your system settings. You can either set location permissions to either “while using the app” or “always on” in your iPhone settings  OR manually set your time zone, within the Sonos app, in the Date & Time tab found under Settings/General Settings/Date & Time.  It took me hours using Chat support and Phone technical support (including uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting my iPhone, trying to set up Alarms on my laptop Sonos app (which did not work), sending diagnostics, amongst the many other failed attempts to resolve this issue) before I discovered the solution myself.  Hopefully this will save someone else hours of grief.
