I updated my Lenovo laptop to Windows 11, and now Sonos won’t connect. I have Sonos One. I did all the suggested steps (turning wifi off/on, restarting laptop, unplugging router/plugging back in, powering down Sonos speakers/powering back up), but no luck. Sonos is an allowed app through my Avast firewall.

I have repeated the above steps several times. Any ideas? Thank you.

Mark your wifi as Private. It will default to Public after a fresh OS installation, which will not work with Sonos.

Avast will make this more complicated, I suggest disabling Avast until you get it working “clean”, then ensure Avast considers your network as Trusted.

Controlav -- that worked! Thank you so much.

There’s no work around other than switching to “Private?”

You need data to pass between your PC and your Sonos devices, so you need a network marked as Private, yes.

Why is that a problem?

No problem man. Was just asking… 😎
