Morning,

Over the weekend my W11 Desktop Sonos App (v. 11.15.4) has the ‘Update Now’ option listing.

However, the update never works - it appears to download the new version, and then immediately get ‘Update Failed’ message and to contact Sonos Customer Care.

Submitted diagnostics ref : *********

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,

Thanks.

Mark

Uninstall the existing one completely. Then reinstall. Otherwise it will do what it’s doing at the moment (trying to overwrite/update/add to the existing one).

All your data/info is stored on your account and system, so you shouldn’t lose anything by completely uninstalling and reinstalling.

@marke

The best option would be to uninstall it and re-install it. There have been previous reports of updates to the desktop app not overwriting the existing one properly and causing errors. So it might be best to reinstall it from the Sonos Downloads web page and see if that rectifies matters.

I did wonder about trying this, but wanted to check first.

Would i have to uninstall the old version first, or just run the new installer and it will overwrite the app ?

ta for the suggestion.
