I updated the Sonos App last week and even after the update they made I can’t get any of my speakers recognised or setup. the App seems to be absolutely useless.i have a Sonos Playbar, three Sonos 3, five Sonos 1 and a Sonos Boost. i have factory reset them all and tried to setup the network again starting with the Boost and although the Boost and Playbar seem to setup, they are not visible on the network at all and haven’t been able to get may of the other speakers set up.it was all working perfectly fine before the new updated app. Is anyone else having similar issues. It looks to me as if the App has so many bugs in it that it is not fit for purpose and now my speakers are useless!any advice is appreciated  

My sonos1 has always worked properly.one day it stopped working.I didn’t change anything. No new wifi, nothing.I tried everything they say several times.when i tried to connect, in the process it stops when trying to get on my wifi.but it worked on the pastit says problem 1014.???thanks if someone can help me!

I still can’t connect after the May 21st update.  It still says product not found.

When I opened my Sonos S2 Controller for PC on my Win10 PC this morning, it appears to be forcing me to accept updates since the only option is to accept a prompt that says “we need to get Sonos running on the latest software. Choose check for updates to get started.”  The only option is to reset the app or submit diagnostics.  If I accept this update, will it force me to the new disastrous Sonos app? BTW, I know I should update to Win 11 and will shortly, but please don’t go there in this conversation.

Hi,I have been tearing my hair out for weeks over this issue.we recently had a storm which knocked out my TP home network. I then had to reinstall the home network and allocate new password etc.since then it’s been impossible to connect to my Sonos speakers.I spent 2 hours on the help desk yesterday which was pretty useless, then lost the connection. I think they have given up on me. My wifi connection shows the Sonos app on the home network. The Sonos app says everything connected and fine. When I try to add my speakers to the system, I get the message. Can’t find a Sonos system. Please ensure speakers are switched on. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks for your patience. 

Since the new app upgrade I have had to replace my router. Unbelievably the new app has no way to switch wireless networks. This means I have had to hardwire a speaker to the router so sonos can create a network. So now my sonos roam only works on Bluetooth connected to my phone. This is appalling. Not only have I lost queue add now, next, and end of queue capability, trueplay capability and the ability to play my music from my networked drive you  have removed a core function from my Sonos roam. Can you reinstate wireless switching now please. This surely is a basic requirement of a wireless sound system and needs immediate attention not 4 weeks down the line. I will accept monetary compensation for every day I cannot use my system as advertised however,  while you take your time to sort this omnishambles. 

The registration of my Sonos commect gen 2 is no loger working. Im able to fint the unit and add it to the list of speakers showing in the app / system settings, but not register it to my account. I have tried to reset the unit, restarted the app, used wi-fi and cat-cabel. No succsess. Any suggestions?

After the latest update i having a lot of disconnecting when using the Sonos app it not happening when use stream by air play 2Help please 

Is the Sonos app going to bring back the queue functions: “play now” “play next” “add song to end of queue”, and ability to delete songs also. I have quite a few speakers and these missing functions were used daily. I haven’t used my speakers with this app since it has been updated. 

I have two S1-compatible speakers in my home office. They are currently part of my S2-system. Downgrading products from S2 to S1 is currently not supported through the app, but does anyone have experience in doing a hard factory reset and adding the speakers in S1 as if it were new products?And maybe as a separate question: is it possible to remove components from your system in the new S2-app? I can't find that option.

I have two Wi-Fi’s, one for 5GHz and one for the old 2.4GHz. They both are connected to the same LAN network, just using slightly different Wi-Fi names.Sonos speakers are connected to the 2.4GHz network, and my phone is on the 5GHz network. This has always worked fine.After the new update I have to connect my phone to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or my phone can’t see the speakers, why? 

One more issue with S2 and the new release. I had a 6 hour internet downage last night. I recently purchased BlueSound speakers. I could not stream of course, but access to my local NAS music was unaffected. This was true of the PC (downgraded) app. But it is not true of the new Sonos app. You cannot even run the app if the internet is down. It just presents a blank screen. I am not sure if this was true of the old S2. I suspect it was.Another thing: the fact that Sonos insists on registering my speakers is annoying. And I can’t even sell them without telling Sonos about it. Not so with BlueSound. I am not sure of Denon and the other competitors. Sonos needs to loosen its grip on the user.

On the new app, I can see what songs I have queued, but I can't remove any songs from the queue nor can I move songs around in the queue. Very annoying. Also annoying that you took away the feature where you can see the exact volume your speaker is at.

I use KKBOX as music service. However, it does not work with the latest update.I reauthorized and I can select the song. But no music play on my Beam Gen1.  Please help

I have just had my router replaced. Ending up having to factory reset my pair of Sonos Ones.Now I am trying to add them via the app.  Getting the message that it can’t ad them because they are not connected to my home wifi. How do I add them to my home wi fi?

Recently installed an Arc and Sub in my home. I have had Amazon Unlimited for a few years, but I would like to take advantage of hi-res music with the current setup.  I have tried to play music through the Sonos app, the Amazon music app and by asking my Alexa.   I have never had the HD or Atmos label come up once I start playing the music on my Arc.  For example , I play Steely Dan’s “Time out of Mind” which shows as HD when I play it on my phone.  However, when I cast it to my living room Arc, the HD label goes away.  I have added the Amazon music service to my Sonos, but again, playing this song does not show the HD label.  Not really sure if this label should come up in the Sonos app, or how to check music quality that is playing

!!  Like many others I’ve just updated Sonos only to find I now can’t access my music library from the C drive of my laptop (Windows based).  Sonos - please resolve asap for the thousands of users that will be affected by this error.  How can it be fair for consumers to spend hundreds of £s for speakers only to find they can’t play their favorite music on them?! !!

Brand new Era 300, will play music via Alexa, will play music when linked with another speaker already playing, won’t continue playing when said other speaker is removed and will not respond at all via the Sonos app, it will cycle through all the songs on an album but never start playing them. I’ve unplugged, turned off the wifi, moved closer to the router. I’m stumped. Any help would be welcomed. Thx. 

I just reinstalled Sonos Controller S2 on my Android cell phone using apkmirror.com It looks OK. All of my playlists, NAS access, radio stations appear to be intact.I used version Sonos 16.1 (arm64-v8a) (nodpi) (Android 8.0+) from March12, 2024
