I have purchased 2 Sonos speakers one and 1 Sonos mini sub to create a stereo system . After first setup I noticed that the true play function was not working so after some efforts i decided to delete the system, reset all speakers everything and make setup again from the beginning.Now I cannot pair / add any of the speakers as after the first steps and after adding the router pass it indicates that the Sonos has to update . Update begins and after a while I get an error message that update has failed and the speaker I not added . So now I cannot use any of my products at all . Please provide support . Thanks

All, Today I’ll be putting in my request for a refund in full for all of my many Sonos devices due to them removing functionality in their latest version (can’t call it an upgrade can we?) of their iOS app.A little known or used part of EU law covers this use case and I’m that frustrated that they could be so incompetent and/or arrogant  to remove so much key functionality in a new version of the app without prior warning and not providing any mechanism to revert  Like many I use Sonos extensively for alarms (primary use case to be honest as there are better smart audio solutions for use cases where listening is the primary use case) … how they could begin to consider it was ok to remove this feature is beyond comprehension. FYI - I used the same EU rule to successfully force Google to refund my Nest Camera’s because they removed the ability to allow me to turn on/off the recording light (alerting people they were being recorded).  

Having issues grouping speakers since the upgrade.  Get a “unable to connect please try later” message.just wondering if this is part of new update and a bug as this is happening on an old playbar?   (But it is sometimes happening on a couple of moves too)

Just a heads-up to those who may be upgrading to the new iOS app, there is an issue where the URLs we have put in via “TuneIn” on the older MacOS controller are not being propagated to the iOS app.   I talked with support, they are aware of it and will be fixing it in the near future.I presume they will make sure that is not an issue prior to releasing the update to MacOS.In the new iOS app, “TuneIn” appears to be a paid service now.  So I’m not sure how they’re going to mix all of this up.    In my case, I subscribe to another service (for years) that uses URLs to play their mixes and I really use a lot of their stuff, so I am anxious to have this fixed up.

Well, what a disaster. Here is another long-time Sonos user utterly baffled as to why this app upgrade was released. I would appreciate answers to a few simple questions.I have a large (approx 2000) library of CDs held on a usb drive, connected to my router.The new app finds the library, but there is no album art. Why?If I search for an artist, it brings back options for Spotify, Mixcloud, etc etc, but not my CD library. Why?My playlists (some of which have hundreds of tracks) appear in the Sonos favourites section, but if I click on them, there is no track listing. Why? Once they are playing, I can click on a button which shows the track listing, but how do I edit the playlist?If I go into my library and drill down to a song, the option to add it to a playlist has gone. How do I do it? In fact, how do I create a new playlist???!!!How do I tell Sonos to re-index the library when I add another CD? In the old app I set it to re-index every mor

With the old app you selected the “room”, and then and music added would go there? With the new app I can pull up a overlay that says “Your System”. Then in there I can select different rooms and press “Apply”. But that doesn’t seem to stick all the time. 

In the old app I could set up Sonos to play through the songs in my library randomly. In the new Sonos app when I select a song only that song goes into the queue, whereas in the old app all the songs in the library went into the queue. Will this feature be available at some point? This capability is one reason I invested in a Sonos system

I am VERY UPSET over this new app and update . Why change something that was working just fine ?  .  1 speaker out of 7 is working .  So much money invested on a system that WONT WORK .  I’m pissed 

My weekday alarm is set to a news channel. How do I setup my weekend alarm to music? I was able to do this before the app update. 😡

The response from Sonos to the outcry from (previously) loyal fans following the debacle of the latest (May 2024) app update is not only inadequate, it is poorly written and pays no regard to the investment we have made over he the past decade to what had been a quality-driven product. Like others, I will be divesting and re-investing in better products and better management. Despite my efforts to replace the immensely flawed recent app with the last functioning app (16.1) AND setting options to NOT auto-update, every 24hrs or so the app is replaced with the new immensely problematic version. I've been a loyal customer, investing MANY thousands of dollars in multiple systems... Lacking any reasonable response from. SONOS to another obvious issue, I'm cutting chords.

Hi,  After new app changes, changing between line-in to spotify streaming is slow and sometimes won't work without an app restart.Has anyone else experienced this?  Thank Adam

Cannot use Sonos one and roam to play same music, podcast sessions simultaneouslyWhat happens is if you pick some musical c from say Spotify it will play on one and your u can choose the same music for the the other but of course they are not synced .I won’t be buying any Sonos products again as the app is rubbish

yesterday coinciding with alerts to upgrade to 80 apps, my Sonos system will not connect to my NAS library.   “access to//RT-N66R/iTunes denied”library is hanging off an Asus router USB/SAMBA using SMBv1, which some threads are saying is now not supported.before I go out and buy a new damn router to fix this, can Sonos clarify that this DID recently/suddenly change (with no warning)?thanks 

Seems like all the good stuff is broken. Alarms gone, seamlessly connecting to multiple home, my 14000 song nas archive unusable.  Was this latest update released by accident? Can you please take it back?

I am a Canadian.  I have a Canadian Amazon Prime account.  When I access Amazon Music on my phone, it works as expected.When I try to set-up Amazon Music on the Sonos app it tries to log on to Amazon US.  Of course it doesn't find my account because my account is in Canada.How are Canadians supposed to access Amazon Music on Sonos?

I have lost not only my Music Library, but I also lost my TV as a source. I cannot get any sound from the web app. Fortunately, I still have the old app on my MacBook Pro, so I can use that to reconnect to the surround system of the TV (Arc, Sub, satellite speakers). But if I decide to stream something on the surround system, the TV is lost. I have to go back to my MacBook to reset it. I’d call or chat with Sonos, but they are overwhelmed and I can’t get through. Please, please, Sono, do not remove my app from my MacBook or my system will be unusable. My use model is 70% TV surround, 20% using my Music Library, and only 5% streaming.

Well, I remember a time when I went into a high end audio store several years ago to trade up some of my sonos speakers and they tried to sell me on top notch stuff, while confessing that Sonos had cornered the market in terms of the app. They said no one can really touch it. Best one out there. And then a few weeks ago happened. Honestly, sincerely and with love in my heart for the tech, what did you guys do??? This is hands down the worst "upgrade" I have ever experienced with any type of tech. The app barely responds and if it does, it can take several seconds and then undo what I asked it to do, i.e., lower volume and then it magically goes up. My wife already hates my music and Sonos, but this is literally not helping my marriage. That's how bad it is. It is impossible to navigate. Everytime I try and play something, I have to try two or three different ways until I figure it out again. Completely unintuitive. I downloaded the new app and was excited to do so.  I got the new era100 speakers for Christmas and finally got around to setting them up. Well first, the new app would not authenticate with Apple Music which is my music service of choice. If Apple and Sonos are feuding, I'm finding another system. Second, when I try to select speakers in a certain room to play music, the app will not switch properly.  Sometimes it switches to the room I selected but then switches right back to the former room.  Sometimes it selects multiple rooms when that was not what I indicated.  Given the cost and track record of this technology, you all are really trying my patience as a customer.  I know you can do better because this was a phenomenal product for so long.  Now it’s like everything else, mediocre,  DO BETTER.

Well actually a lot of things has gone totally down the drain with the new app update Alarm Add to queue NASBasic features and most of all features that retailers advertised and sold the Sonos products upon, and now it's gone without any notice or any option to opt out of an update that actually, apart from a new look, remives features.Well I am in DK, bought the Sonos from a retailer covering the Nordic Europe. Should I and all others contact the retailer saying ‘Well this is not what You sold me. The features You told me about are gone. This is not what I bought. I want to return it'Really Sonos. Either add the features or let user have the ability to down grade.Also wondering, what was the intend with the new app? How has it succeeded so far 🤷‍♂️

Hi,This has not previously been an issue for me but since i switched phone (OnePlus 7 on Android 11 to OnePlus 11 on Android 13) a week ago i have had issues with my Sonos speakers not appearing in my Spotify app.I can usually fix the issue by reauthorizing my Spotify app in Sonos S2 but this is quite irritating to have to do on a daily basis.Ive tried most things i can think of. Reconnecting my speakers, power cycles, uninstall and reinstall app...nothing seems to give me a permanent fix.No network changes has been performed.Pls help! Edit.I just pulled out my old OnePlus 7t on Android 12. It had been reset to stock, so loggede into Google account and installed the Spotify app. Straight away all my Sonos speakers appeared in the app. So my best guess is that the issue is isolated to my new phone with Android 13, OnePlus 11. Anyone with similar experience? Moderator edit: combined p

I need the alarm features. When will it bee back ? 

Until yesterday I was always able to play and shuffle playlists of up to 500 songs . Today however when I try to do this the sonos app will only  use the first 100 songs ofthelist. Very confusing?? I use, and always have usaed amazon prime to make my playlists. 

After updating(not considering this an upgrade) to the new app I can see all of my devices after having to reboot all amps and my wifi to get the app to function at all. The issue I have now is that the only way I can get music to my amps is to select one of my other devices, start playing music on it and then join the amp to that group. The amps each show “No Music / Queue is Empty” when selected and if I select one of my streaming apps to begin music I get a spinning arrow for a bit when I select the play button and then it just resets back to the play button and nothing happens. This really should not be this difficult, but can anyone tell me how to start streaming to a sonos amp that is showing “No Music / Queue is Empty” without having to start music on another device and then join the amp?
