Controllers and Music services

Unfortunately the app got updated to the bugged version. My system is dead now. The app takes a long time to load and even after it loads I can’t do anything in it. I select a song, press play and nothing happens. How do I get back to the old app?

During installation of the system upgrade, I get the match it says sign in as the system owner. I do not know what system owner means, I have already signed on with my Sonos user ID and password

Real problems playing my own music on my laptop via the Sonos app. Doesn’t see music and says it cannot connect to directory showing error 913. I have updated software and it wont add the directory into the app so I can see the music to add to playlists. I also can’t add my non Sonos speakers to system. I have plugged them into the rear of the Sonos Amp. Really having problems. The speakers worked before. The real problem is seeing m6 music on my hard drive. Help. Regards David Powell

Having moved my system to a new network, I can't set up my music library. In the Windows app, everything in the Manage menu is disabled, apart from "Update Music Library Now" and "Change Language". The Android app doesn't have the option at all. So

Why is the hold time so long and chat is unavailable. Will Sonos customer service respond to any of our questions and concerns?the may update to the App is not working properly. I can’t even play music and I noticed the volume has a long delay when it did work. As of this morning my system is now worthless and not allowing me to play any music not even my TV!

Since updating my MacOS and iOS controllers for Sonos, my Sonos is not updating my Music Library.  That is, even after rebooting both devices and multiple attempts to do so, the Sonos app on MacOS remains empty.All of my devices and Sonos speakers have been rebooted, this had no apparent impact on this issue.Does anyone know what the problem is?

I, like I believe the majority of your user community, feel that Sonos have been making some very bad decisions recently that have resulted in an unacceptable situation for many and a severe erosion of trust in the company. The log (so far) of the ‘top’ bad decisions are:-To proceed with the launch of the new app, despite massive functional regression – and a major issue with alarms discovered on the morning of the launch. Not to withdraw the app and take the time and space to correct/test before a relaunch. To launch an upgrade to the flawed app correcting the alarm issue (or at least part of it), which also required an update to firmware At the AMA fail to apologise for the disruption caused, not answer many of the major concerns in a way that gave reassurance of an understanding of the damage caused, or that the future may be different. All this lead to even more frustration, distrust and angerOn a more positive note, there is now an embryonic timescale for some of the functionality

How do I switch back to previous update….I have Android….

So, Sonos geniuses eliminated the ability to play your personal music library stored on an android phone through their app/speakers. Currently, you can only play your library music through their app via computer. And there are no plans to bring this feature back for android in future app upgrades (per their customer service). I’m assuming this is all because Sonos is most likely getting kick backs from streaming services to force people to use such services. Why else would this be eliminated? Please would someone from Sonos explain why such capability for Android users to play their own music library be eliminated? This is so counterintuitive it is beyond belief!

I play music from my PC picking music on my Hard drive.  Sonos App no  longer sees the music on my hard drive.  How to fix this

Soooooo, maybe I’m the only one that can’t figure this out but, how in the heck do you play “all tracks” in your collection? I must be missing something.Also, this is potentially the worst app experience I have ever had in my life.  If this isn’t fixed like pronto I’m moving my 11 zones and 29 Sonos products into the dumpster although it may be tough because it is on fire at the moment with this dumpster fire of an app.@Sonos - wow.  This is horrific.  You guys should be embarassed.

I have downloaded the S2 app and across front screen it initially says “Something went wrong” then says “Not Connected”. If I hit “Join existing Network” it states it cant find my home wifi network. So I do all the suggested check but still no change. If I try the “Add speaker or Componant”  option it takes me to Local Network settings opions in Settings which are already allowing access . I have rebooted my Home Hub but no change. Has anyone had the same issue please as all worked fine with the s1 app so very , very frustrating!! 

The new app is a disaster. Can I have the previous version back please? I used to be able to add tracks to Tidal playlists from Sonos - not any more. I could play anything from any source - not now. It’s a fuck up beyond fuck ups. It looks a mess and I don’t know where anything is any more. Sonos, get this shit fixed or I’m selling the lot.

I exclusively use my sonos speakers inside my secure home network. I do not need to have remote access. I do not want any of my internal music information to be stored in the cloud/internet irrespectively of the perceived benefits. I just dont need it - when I listen to my music on Sonos I am always home and if I am home I am connected to my local network, I absolutely dont see the reason for play.sonos.com.Having said that, I cannot find any way to remove my sonos.com account and ensure all the data that is associated with this account is securely deleted. Is this even possible?Any help would be appreciated.

This is a topic to let SONOS know that users of SONOS speakers would like to access locally store music libraries like we used to just a couple weeks ago. Why would a company chose an option that reduces the capability of their product. If the don’t figure this out soon, I’ll trash my speakers and go back to speakers with wires.

I had previously set up my Sonos system ( 3 zones) all was great!! 👍 I had weak signal at times and so I installed a signal booster around my property.  my phone  etc now automatically picks up the boosted system sonos continually picks up original router. How do I set my Sonos to forget original router and find booster.?thanks for assistance.   

Following app update I can't access radio stations from myTuner and it won't let me add TuneIn. Equipment is unusable apart from fact I have an old iPod which hasn't taken the update. HELP!!!!!!

Hi everyone. Just noticed on the latest update that the build is 80.00.08 on mine it is 80.00.04, no big deal I am sure, but can anyone explain this & has anyone got the same as me? Many thanks   Pete 

Unable to add to queue?The key feature of the Sonos app has always been to build and orchestrate the queue - and now it's suddenly gone?! It's a scandal.Can I somehow go back to the old app?

Can someone test and confirm that trying to add any station of myTuner Radio to my Sonos produces an error message?

Hi, as many here, I have tons of issues with the new app update on iOS.My 2 One SL surrounds were no longer connected in the system after the app update.Tried running the system update, which is not possible as the Ones are not found (code 1005).I tried unplugging, re-plugging, same with router, etc, still can’t be found.I have been unable to remove + add them (only got them removed...). They are connected over wifi, which is of course working fine.I am at a loss and just waiting for an app update again to fix my system and enjoy my 5.1 system. So, did Sonos provide any ETA for fixing this mess?

I never usually comment publicly, but being a long-time user and lover of Sonos I am now considering moving off to another system. System. It is useless to me, all of the functions that I used, including the sleep timer, the volume controls which are very unstable and the functionality of this new update has been horrible. Horrible. I have no idea how this was even allowed to push out to the public. Do they not have any beta testers?? Rev. Back to the old system. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Is anybody else having problems with this new update? I am having many problems like not being able to control the sound, I lost all of my set list that I have been working on for five years, just turning off, not downloading, etc.
