Question

Sonos, please make speaker API open source for alternative community controller apps.

Dear Sonos decision makers,

As you insist on pushing us apps that are clearly underdeveloped and refuse to react to your customers requests (1000s of them) in any way:

Please make the API to the speakers sufficiently open source to allow the community development of an alternative Controller App.

You don't want to give us the app we want, ok. Please give us the means to make our own.

Would Sonos please consider this?

There are already many third party apps, go look for some on your platform.

The local API is easily seen by running UPnP Spy.

The cloud API is somewhat-documented at https://docs.sonos.com/docs/control-sonos-players
