I am the primary account holder for our sonos account.  And everything works fine when I’m home - but if someone else is using the Sonos at home and then I leave the Sonos cuts off - any clue how to fix this 

Internet lost today.  So I quickly moved to my NAS for streaming.  That worked except for one thing:  When I tried to shuffle by song, it did not have this option.  Interestingly though I was able to shuffle by the same artist only.  Ideally shuffle would work for all of NAS needs with or without internet. Has anyone else experienced this?

HiIs there a timeline for when atmos willbe available through airplay? I have to use the Sonos app to take full advantage of my music subscription and era 300s and, I mean no disrespect, the Sonos app is a far inferior experience for browsing music. I almost don’t want to use my speakers because of this. So I guess I’d like to know if there is a timeline for either atmos through airplay or an improvement on the music browsing experience on the Sonos app. I’d be happy with either one.  For the app things like syncing favorites to Apple Music, lyrics wor would be great. Displaying artist’s top songs, then the albums instead of just a random list of albums songs and singles would be great too.

Dear sonos support,While working with listening history tracking tools, I’ve encountered what seems a bug with how Sonos communicates with Deezer. Each time I listen to a track, the track is always put two times in the listening history: once the song is started and once song ends and going to the next one.Also each time I pause and restart a song the song is put once more in the listening history.The issue is not related to the tracking tool I’m using, it can be seen directly on Deezer webapp/mobile app.Maybe it’s related to the fact I’m still using Sonos S1 and didn’t upgrade to the new versions (I’m limited by my 1st gen play 5 speakers).

At last it seems A to Z scrolling of local library folders is back along with some Sonos Ace features including, it would seem, the long awaited Truecinema.  I can’t see the scrolling yet so assume it’s rolling out to devices over the next few days, how does that work though even I’m on the new versions?

Hi all,I’ve just got Amazon unlimited music to replace YouTube music.  I’ve restarted router, iPad, android phone and all my speakers and deauthorized YouTube.  I authorized Amazon and all my playlists show, but they’re empty.  Sometimes they show up but disappear rather quickly.  I followed a few guides clicking the heart button on all songs but it’s the same.  All worked well with YouTube so can’t understand.  There’s only 5 playlists, maximum has 99 songs and probably 30 to 40 albums.   Deleted apps, reauthorized Amazon numerous times bu still nothing. Any help appreciated.Possibly go to Spotify if that better integration?Will

I have Sonos system with:Sonos OS S1, Version 11.15.2I want to connect it to a router which is running OpenWRT. I connected a USB drive to the router with my music library. Samba4 does not fit on the router, so I did install ksmbd-server. But my Sonos can not connect to it while on Windows I can map a drive to it (so sharing does work).Now my question:I’m completely confused if I need to use SMB1 or SMB2 on this router. When I read the posts about this then it seems that for a S2 system SMB2 is needed. Do S1 systems only support SMB1? I upgraded to the last Sonos software (11.15.2). Does that mean that I need SMB2 now for this S1 system too?I did read that ksmbd does not support SMB1. Is that the reason I can not get it to work? Can I somehow make this Sonos S1 system to support SMB2?

My Sonos library sits on my NAS (a QNAP device) in a subfolder:192.168.1.163//Multimedia/MusicThis Music Library shows up perfectly well in my Sonos app and I can play music happily from it.My source Music library sits on my Windows laptop, managed by iTunes.  I exported my playlists to “library.xml” as described in this article on Apple’s support sitehttps://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/itunes/itns2998/windowsI copied “library.xml” to the Music folder above, so it’s at the same level as artist folders, but not in a folder itself.I then re-indexed my library, but when I look at “Imported Playlists” within “Music Library” in any Sonos app (iOS, Windows, macOS) it’s empty.Can anyone advise where I’m going wrong? Many thanks,Chris

I just have to say it. More than a year after its introduction, the app still sucks. Balky, unpredictable, unresponsive. A year is too long! Why does Sonos refuse to go back to the previous version at least until they perfect the new version. I’m done. I haven’t bought any Sonos products since this debacle started and I’ve warned everyone I can not to buy either. Maybe someone will buy Sonos and fix the problems or bury them and put an end to this.

I finally got to purchasing a mobile phone for myself. One of the first things I wanted to do is use the Sonos app with my android phone. Until now, I’ve been using the app on my computer for years. First off, the phone will not load the playlist on my external drive into the queue. Never been a problem with the computer app. It gives me the informative message “Unable to add to queue”. No matter what I do, it will not create a queue from my playlist - very disappointing. Second, why in comparison is the computer app so straightforward and easy to navigate while the phone app is very confusing and frustrating? I was going to purchase a Move for my wife, but she will never be able to navigate that convoluted set up. The computer applications is so simple and practical - why complicate it?

I use Amazon Music. Is there a way I cast my music directly from the Amazon Music app to my Sonos without using the (very annoying) Somos App? Thanks!

I purchased a Brennan Helix and now have this set up and playing my old CD collection through my Sonos System using the Sonos 1 app on windows pc and iPhone.   i am trying to add the Brennan Helix player to my Sonos 1 app. So I hit manage top left on the Sonos app screen and go to music library settings and try to add a new library folder. Next drop down is add music folder so I select NAS drive.  I then have to type the path to my network share. I type \\BRENNANB2\music and then put the user name and passwords as requested (you get these from the Brennan website).  I then get a message saying Sonos was unable to add the music folder. i can play any cd through Sonos Speakers direct from the Brennan Hellix player wirelessly so it’s connected over the network. I can see the Helix player on my home network.  I can even play the SD card through my Sonos speakers using the Brennan Helix app.  The Hellix app on iPhone is not that good so I want to be able to see my Hellix on the Sonos App ju

I’m hitting a snag with Spotify playback on my Era 300 using the Sonos app (v80.06.04, iOS 18.2). Songs start but stall after 10-15 seconds, showing “Unable to play – connection to Spotify lost.”Details:Setup: Era 300 (firmware 19.4), iPhone 14 Pro, home Wi-Fi (Netgear Orbi, 2.4/5 GHz). Issue: Spotify Free account, direct control via Sonos app. Other services (Apple Music, radio) play fine. Reauthorizing Spotify in the app doesn’t help. Tried: Rebooted router and Era 300, reinstalled Sonos app, checked Wi-Fi signal (strong). Logs show “Error 1002” during Spotify playback.Request: Anyone else seeing Spotify stalls on Era 300? Any fixes or app settings to tweak? Thanks for any tips! 😊

My system stops playing after every song.  I have to restart the playlist after each song.  Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this to happen? 

After having some issues with my music library playing playlists with more than 100 songs, I decided to delete it and add it back (before I discovered the playlist limit is a known issue).  It had been so long since I added the library, I had issues adding it back.I have discovered a couple issues.  First, I can only add the Public folder from the NAS.  I cannot just add the Public/Shared Music Folder.  Are subfolders supported?The other issue is the library is creating multiple of the same playlists.  I only have .m3u playlist files.  I suspect it is reading the playlists in the iTunes library.  I have backup copies of the library in other folders which would explain why there are several versions of the same playlist.I am curious if others have encountered these issues and if there are ways to correct.

My music source is primarily my Plex server. I have multiple Sonos systems.  One system has just a Move and is located on the same network as the Plex server.  Another system has only a Beam and is located remotely from the Plex server.  The third system is also located remotely from the Plex server and contains two setups there: Home theater (Arc Ultra+2 Fives+Sub (Gen 3)) and a Move.    The first two systems play playlists from the Plex server just fine.  Changes have been made over time, and I can now play playlist as big as 9K songs.  That’s great.  On the setup that has the Arc Ultra, it will not play any Plex playlist (short or long).  It simply times out and says cannot play song and skips to next, skips to next and on and on.  The Move at the same location has no problem playing any Plex playlists.  This tells me it is not a network delay issue.  I recently discovered that if I start a Plex playlist with the Move, then add the Arc Ultra setup, the Arc plays the music just fine

I have searched and seen similar topics.  Most relate to Amazon Music.  I do not have any issues playing a Spotify playlist of more than 100 songs.  If I select a playlist in my Music Library, any of the ways to get music into the queue results in 100 songs.I have tried the workarounds to empty the queue, add one song and then select Play Next for the entire playlist.  That does not work.  Nor does any of the selections to add or play the playlist in the queue.  All result in an error and/or just the first 100 songs being added.I can scroll to the end of my playlist.  The only way to play a song outside of the top 100 is to only add that song to the playlist.  If I select any song beyond the top 100, it will play the 100th song.FWIW, I have my playlists in 2 formats, iTunes and m3u.  Both behave the same.  I get the same behavior on all devices.  I currently only have Android devices, all running the latest available app in the Google Play Store, version 80.17.09…How can I play larger

I have a Sonos system and would like to have family members be able to control the system without providing my credentials.  Can this be done with their own user id’s?

Has anyone managed to add a music library via an android phone? The add button is greyed out for me. 

In a prior, now locked. post I mentioned how I had to break up my m3u playlists to be 1000 tracks or smaller to work.  Annoying but I wrote a script to automate it so it wasn’t too bad.  After the 80.19.05 it seems that even 1000 track m3us are too big.  They will load and when I hit play, it just spins forever.  Now I need to figure out what the new, largest m3u playlist size is. One step forward, two steps back Sonos.I really fear bankruptcy for this company now. It’s almost a year since the ‘upgrade’ and the app is still only about 50% as useful as it was before.MikeS Edit:So my experiments show that the max size m3u playlist is between 100 and 250 tracks.  Sigh. Pre May 2024 I was able to play Sonos playlists of > 1000 tracks with almost zero problems. Post may 2024 I eventually lost all access to my Sonos playlists so I made m3u playlists instead. Discovered that m3u playlists > 1000 tracks would not work. Post 80.17.09 “update” now m3u playlists > ~200 tracks do not work

Hi I need to unlink my spotify account from sonos - but I can not see how to doThe issue is that I am not in the house where the sonos equipment islooging onto spotify or sonos web i do not see any options thanks

HelloI just installed new ERA100I had to verify my Windows Sonos version update.I did it, update is done and OKBUT in the app Can’t have my normal user screen back.If I restart the app, the PC, I can see the normal user screen 1 second but after I come back on the screen “please verify your updated version..”What is going on ? 

Hi, I didn't find this problem covered anywhere else...I stream through Apple. When I start playing an Apple playlist arranged by Artist via the Sonos app, the app plays the first track from the playlist as it should, but then the following track flips to one from another artist. (So, I select artist X but then the second track flips for some reason to artist Y). I don't have this problem when I stream directly from the Apple app. Any ideas? Thx.
