Hi,im going to use ifttt for controlling Sonos for years and its so pretty cool.I have an another requirement: i need control SmartHome, when Sonos plays in specific room. For example: need Sonos learn to call rest api (get or ifttt) when i will start listening music in a kitchen.or alternative issue: if i will be able to test every minute sonos over rest api: “hey dude, are you playing?”. Im able to test via volume, and its not the same.Thanks for a clue...

Is there a way of switching between “steamed” music and “line in” on the amp without having to take the rca leads out?

 Hi, I use the Sonos app to play music cds stored on my iMac in iTunes. I recently had to re-load MacIOS on my computer, and while I figured out how to link my iTunes library to Sonos, I did something incorrectly. I cannot no longer obtain infomation on the Sonos playlists about upcoming or previous tracks. I can get info about song currently played but not about others on playlist. How can I remedy this? William

Suddenly the possibility to play all top tracks as a playlist is gone from Tidal. What can be done about it?

It is really frustrating that there is no sorting facility for search results. I would like to be able to search for an artist and see their catalogue of music and then sort by release date. You may hear that a certain artist had released a new album but you don’t know the name. Being able to sort the search results by release date would help find that album straight away without needing to search it up on the internet first. I know that is a minor point but would make the Sonos experience so much more seamless and enjoyable. 

Evening all. Clunky title but would like to optionally have my phone perform normal screen lock security except when I have Sonos open at page and active. Is that possible?Is a pain on a Saturday having to log in every time you think of a great track to add to playlist.Many thanks in advance

So, my Fire HD 8 is apparently too old now for S2.  What is the current goto for a cheap device to hand off to visitors or leave on the table for parties?

Upgraded my Sonos Controller on Win 10 OS to the new S2 app but now neither open when selected??  Have tried to uninstall both 3 times and re-install and repair the S2 app on Windows.  The app still fails to open when selected.   Becoming more and more unhappy with Sonos, since they removed the option to play music direct from my phone…  Now the windows controller doesnt work!   Any help, apart from changing hardware brand at this time, would be appreciated.

I have an old Sonos system that is not compatible with Sonos 2 & the new products.  I run the Sonos 1 app on my Windows 10 computer and iPHone.I keep getting app update pop-ups on my Win10 computer (I currently have version 11 on my win10 Sonos 1 app).Is the latest update applicable to the Win10 Sonos 1 app?  Or does it apply to just the Sonos 2 app?  Or does it apply to both Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 apps?I don’t want to update and find that Sonos 1 is replaced with Sonos 2 and will not operate all my old Sonos speakers.

Since V12 of Sonos S2 I have no end of problems. The first and most obvious one is that the software doesn’t even recognise it is at the latest version. I have a Samsung Note8 and the Sonos S2 System version I have downloaded is 12.1.2.Ok - go to add a music system and it comes up with the attached message. Obviously hit the update button (even though the software reports it is at Version 12.1.2) and it checks Sonos for updates and ‘there was a problem during the update of your system’ message appears - now before any Sonos guru replies yes I have reloaded, rebooted every possible software, speaker, boost and router I have - the default goto answer for any Sonos problem - just shows how flaky this software is!!!If the software doesn’t even recognise its own version level there has got to be some basic programming issues going on rather than blaming wireless/ethernet connection issues  

Hi. I have a Sonos 1, Sonos Playbar for my TV ( very soon I will also be buying the new Sonos acr TV speaker) and a Sonos 5 with a line input. I also have a very good  sounding blue tooth speaker and would like to know if i can connect it to my sonos system so that when i listen to music from my 3 sonos speakers I will also hear the music from my blue tooth speaker. I know Sonos now sells a speaker that is blue tooth compatible but as i already own 3 speakers ( soon to be 4) , I don’t particularly want to buy the newish sonos blue tooth speaker, when i already have a perfectly good speaker that i could use. Please have you any advice how this can be done . Many thanks. Jimmy 

Hi So I purchased the Arc recently and realised that my android phone will not support trueplay and I've already owned iPad pro gen 4 which that didn't work either. I went and bought iPhone 12 pro only to find out that still not supported??!!?? I've spent £1500 on the Arc and the sub and on top another £1k on a new iPhone 12 pro only to find out an old iPhone would work only.  Come on guys please sort this out. Can someone from Sonos team get in touch and tell me how long this will take???? Thanks

Hello, The Sonos apps do work properly for sure but I have just a UX question : do you think you can design something even smaller??? :-))For example the seek slider on the desktop app for Mac  This gives the feeling that the very tip of the mouse pointer must be at the exact pixel where the slider bar is. This is not the case actually but still.The buttons next to it are bigger but not big either.Looks like you’re shy :) Make huge buttons and sliders! Don’t hesitate. Think UX and accessibility.The same applies on the mobile app (even worse for seeking). Thanks 

I upgraded to the new Sonos S2 App about 2 months ago, assuming it would make my life easier, have better connectivity and generally be an upgrade. So far I’ve found it riddled with errors, it quite often doesn’t show my system and has delays (if it responds at all) to all my actions whether it’s volume control or changing songs.  I’m using iOS on my iPhone 10 and my MacBook Pro (as well as my girlfriend using her iPhone)  and across the board it doesn’t work. My question is what’s causing all these errors, will they be fixed soon, or is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance

I have just downloaded the latest version of the S2 app on to my MacBook Pro and it cannot find my system. I have tried to connect to an existing system but it just can’t find it.Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

I have two iPadsipad Air 3rd generationipad 6th generationBoth have the same Sonos app (the latest one), the same apple software version (14.0.1), and the same settings for Sonosbluetooth onlocal network onbackground app refresh onsonos version 12.1.1build 60.3.81250Sonos ID 114995034The iPad Air is used to control a pair play 1’s and is very unreliable. Often it won’t connect, sometimes it will play but then we can’t stop or alter volume. (It works perfectly in all other ways.) The other iPad, when tried, works perfectly! How do I fix this? Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Hi,I've been using the Sonos app for a while, but I've been bothered by the fact that the alphabetic order isn't working as it's supposed to, as shown below:  Even though it says 'A', the first album to show up is starting with an '1' - I have no clue what to do with this. Is it an known bug or am I doing something wrong? I use Apple Music and the Sonos application for Mac. Help would be appreciated! Dani

Apple has done a major update to the Apple Music App interface. Will Sonos be updating the interface in the Sonos S2 app to match? Thanks.

Since upgrading to iOS14, the Sonos app search functionality doesn’t work with Spotify on either my iPhone or ipad. Anyone else having issues?

No, not the usual problem hopefully.On my Iphone I can go to YouTube and listen to an audio/video direct to Sonos via the icon that appears on the actual video screen’If I do exactly the same thing on my PC  the icon does not appear.I’m running latest Windows edition.Does anyone know why please?

I was a big fan of Santos originally; I had eight of the play fives in my house along with a few beams. But I tried to add some more speakers, and was forced to migrate to the Sonos 2 platform which seems flat out terrible. It only seems to work about 20% of the time, and keeps asking me to add things that I’ve already added. Is that other folks experience? Any tricks to make the thing salvageable? I certainly would never advise anyone to buy that house now; to the contrary I would tell them to look for a better option, but I’m stuck now

How do I manage my Sonos playlists which feature Google Play Music songs, which will soon no longer be available, and migrate them to YouTube Music?Is there a simple solution? Or do I need to go song by song?Any advice will be welcome.Thanks: Mitchell

I quite like the idea of the Brennan b2Act as NAS to Sonos 5 It has wifi I can rip CD’s at my convenience. Using a computer to do the ripping is less than ideal My computers do not have inbuilt CD reader CD collection downstairs, main computer upstairs  What I do not like about the Brennan b2 is that is uses a Raspberry Pi and therefore has its operating system on an SD card. Have had a lot of problems with SD cards corrupted with power outages of which we get a lot.So is there a better alternative?Needs to haveWifi Work with Sonos 5 i.e. NAS Ideally also output to a Speakercraft cs3 either by bluetooth Output via optical
