It comes with 6 sonance speakers, 1 subwoofer and 1 sonos amp. I am looking to cover an area of around 5000 sqft so I am pretty sure the I can combine the two systems of 6.1 to create a 12.2 to play the same music. my question is that can I use the the 12.2 system with only 1 amp, so then I will have 1 amp leftover to use in another area with different speakers. The sonance website mentions that the system can be upgraded to 16.2 with only 1 amp but I want to confirm. https://www.sonance.com/assets/media/files/downloads/SGS_Data_Sheet_080704.pdf https://www.avinstalls.co.uk/sonance-garden-series-sgs-81-satsub-system-with-sr2125-amp-p-308
I have an older Sonos 1 connect amp with four Sonos speakers connected. Two of the speakers have good volume and sound - two are working but weak. any suggestions to help equalize these a bit?
Hello, I just installed Sonos Outdoor speakers using my Denon Amp and cannot add the speakers in the sonos app. What am I doing wrong?
I changed my router a year ago and Sonos has never worked properly since. I had to constantly re-connect the speakers and find the system over and over again. I found the support from Sonos non-existent. I have now got a new Router and went through ALL the steps to connect my four Sonos speakers last night. We enjoyed an evening of music on all of them and then, this morning, my Sonos App could not find the system and none of the speakers and now won’t connect with any of them. Basically, Sonos sucks. I’m switching to Alexa or just a simple Bluetooth speaker that I carry from room to room. Thanks for wasting thousands of $$ Sonos and providing no help at all.
I’m running multiple Connect Amps. Music will cut out randomly. this occurs when using different music services including Amazon and tune-in. I typically pair two connect amps (dining room + kitchen). Occasionally it will cut out only in one (kitchen). I’m at a loss troubleshooting. diagnostic code from a recent occurrence ((Connect: Amp from my patio) 1183329370 Based on info I’ve found in the community, I have: 1. rebooted the equipment including modem, router and sonos2. changed the wireless channel from 6 to 1
I have a Sonos Amp hooked up to (2) Polk Atrium 8 speakers. They are stereo speakers with 4 input for stereo sound out of each speaker. It’s good for outdoor since they are spaced far apart. They are 8 ohms. I am wondering if I can a 3rd speaker on the system. It would techinically be a 3rd speaker OR a 3rd stereo setup. There would be 3 wires on each terminal. Will the amp be able to handle it?
If I add 6 sonos architectural speakers to one amp will they each get enough power? Or will this compromise the output of each?
Hi all, was hoping for some help here. Looking to install 4 JL Audio Pavilion speakers outside and hopefully power them with Sonos Amp. The speakers say 4ohms, so I’m not sure how all this works. Here’s the link for the speakers. Can someone let me know if this is possible? Thanks in advance!https://www.jlaudio.com/pages/pavilion™
Hi, looking for some advice. I’ve a Sonos system with three play 1s in various rooms, a home theatre surround sound with a beam, sun, and two play 1s. They are all on a sonosnet (one of the play 1s is wired). I recently added an Onyx turntable and experience drops even with latency set to high. I’ve an orbi wifi mesh router. I’ve no dropouts when using streaming services (eg Apple Music) on my Sonos system. should I drop the sonosnet? Or get a bridge (but not sure the Victrola can connect to a Sonos network). Or do I need to upgrade my mesh network (it’s about 7 years old orbi system). thanks!
Hello I would like to connect my Sonos Connect to Samsung HW-Q990B. Can I use the digital optical audio cable? what android should I use?
I just bought a Port to plug into my receiver in my office via coaxial digital. I also have a stereo pair of Symfonisk bookshelf speakers, a Roam, and an Era 100. I have noticed that when I try to group them all together, only the Port is slightly out of sync with the other devices. I have to go into the audio delay on the receiver to adjust the lip sync delay to about 3 to 4 milliseconds in order to get the audio close. Is there a way to adjust the sync from the Sonos app so I don’t have to keep readjusting the receiver? The Port and one of the Symfonisk speakers are plugged in via Ethernet. Everything else is connected via Wi-Fi.
I have two pieces of Sonos gen 1 gear (a Play:5 and a Connect), which I use to play songs kept on my Synology NAS. I have SMB1 and NTLMv1 authentication both enabled. This used to work fine, but as of the last Synology software update it fails. No other devices on my home network (and there are many) have any issues; it is only my Sonos gear.I have seen many other posts with this same issue, and your response in all cases that I’ve seen is that this is my problem because I’m still on S1, and you’ve fixed this in S2. Fine, how do I run S2? What is my upgrade path? Because if the upgrade path is to throw out all my Sonos gear and spend over $1000 on new gear, that doesn’t really work for me.
Hello,I recently purchased the Project Debut Carbon Turntable for Sonos. I have noticed that the stylus does not return to starting position after the record is finished playing. My cheap record players from high school days always did that, so I assumed this relatively much higher-end product would do the same. Is this a setting that can be changed?
I have been having the issue where my subwoofer is quiet ever since upgrading to the Arc from a Play Bar a couple months ago. I just moved to a new home so attempting to get it functioning properly again at this time. If I connect the subwoofer to the same room as my Arc the woofer give minimal power/bass and even upon “chime” verification sounds from the Arc rather than the sub. I can switch the sub to another room and get good sound but as soon as I reconnect to the room with the Arc, it is again dampened.
Does Sonos in-ceiling speakers support voice casting with Josh.ai? Setting up 9 audio zones and looking to integrate josh.ai as home automation voice assistant.
Hi, I posted this issue in the past but the problem is coming back: Issue:After 24h (sometimes just a few hours) to 48 hours the SONOS speakers stops playing and impossible to reconnect to the speakers. When it stops playing the SONOS speakers still appear in my router devices’ list as still connected (as shown below) but SONOS Apps (iOS, Android or MacOS) do not “see” the speakers anymore. The only solution is to reboot the router or change the 2.4Ghz channel (which I believe reboots anyway the router). My systems (2 items):Sonos Connect:Amp (1st gen) connected via 2.4 Ghz (note: This is not 5Ghz compatible) Sonos Play:1 connected via 2.4 Ghz I forced both on 2.4Ghz as it seemed to have solved the issue in the past. Both systems are updated. Router:TP-Link Archer AX10 Firmware updated I have a Mesh but even without it the problem occurs. To be safe I changed the Mesh’s SSID to force the speakers to always connect to the router’s 2.4 Ghz which has a unique SSID. The router and sp
Is there a way to put the amp on standby mode, instead of leaving it on all the time or turning off the mains? The mains is hidden behind a cabinet near the floor and it’s a pain for me to bend down every time I want to turn it on or off. Thanks in advance!
I’m looking to sell my Connect Amp and want to make sure it is compatible with S1 and S2 systems. I tried looking it up in my account and it doesn’t say. Thanks!
I have a set of Sonos ARC + Sonos Subwoofer + 2 x Era 300.All four are grouped into one room, and the Era 300s are used as spatial speakers. In this room, I also have a turntable with a preamplifier. If I connect the turntable to one of the Sonos Era 300s using a line-in adapter, will I be able to select the source for these connected speakers?
I have a turntable and cd player feeding into an amplifier attached to a Connect module. The app indicates that music is being played but there is no sound. Can anyone suggest why this is happening?
I have one Eero Pro 6 router which is wired to my modem (Arris). My home theater is Sonos Arc + Sub Mini + 2 Era 100; the Arc connects wirelessly to my Eero router; the other speakers, I assume, connect wirelessly through the Arc.In the Eero app, only the Sonos Arc shows as online; the other three speakers only show as “Recently online” — they briefly showed up in the Eero app as “new device” when I plugged in the Sub Mini and the two Era 100s, but shortly after, Eero “demoted” them to “recently online” — even BEFORE I added them to my Arc as home theater setup.I don’t understand why they don’t show as online in the Eero app.FYI: I used to have two Sonos Play 1 connected to my Arc until recently. Both Play 1s showed up in the Eero app as online. Before I upgraded to the Era 100s, I removed the Play 1s from my Arc home theater setup and then unplugged them to replace them with the Era 100s.Not sure what’s going on with my setup — any ideas/thoughts?FWIW: Surround sound is working when wa
Hello, I already have one Sonos Amp (located indoors) powering the outdoor Sonos Speakers on my deck. Now I am interested in having a separate Sonos Amp connected to different outdoor Sonos Speakers by my outdoor pool. So I have two questions -(1) Can I have two separate Sonos Amps on the same Wifi network, and use them independently?(2) Is it OK to have a Sonos Amp outdoors if I store it in some type of sealed enclosure? Thank you.
Hi,I have the following setup and problems with my Sonos Port: If I play music through Spotify connect on the Sonos port, then the music keeps dropping every couple of minutes (what I mean is: the speaker is silent and the port disappears from the S2 app. After about 30-45 seconds the music continues). If I play music through Airplay 2, then its uninterrupted. On my Sonos One speakers the music is also uninterrupted, even if I play through Spotify connect.Setup:Unify network APs 1 Sonos One connected through Ethernet 1 Sonos One connected through WiFi 1 Sonos Port connected through WiFi Music played through Spotify Connect Debugging things that I have done so far: All Sonos through WiFi vs. One Sonos through Ethernet to provoke the SonosNet restarting all APs Playing music through Airplay 2 and Spotify connect (The Port is only buggy when played through Spotify Connect, but not when I play through Airplay 2). Unfortunately for the setup in this home, I need to be able to play through
I have four brand new amps. They all are detected on the app but none of them connect. Keeps saying “Connect Amp to Power” which it is of course. I’ve rebooted, reset and replugged all devices including Wi-Fi router—nada. help!
I only recently and reluctantly updated my Sonos component system to S2 which required purchasing a new Sonos Amp and replacing a Sonos-Connect. I am now no longer able to update my Sonos music library with the Sonos app or Desktop controller. Since 2006, my music library has been stored in a share file on a Buffalo Linkstation NAS drive which I last replaced a couple of years ago. A senior Sonos advisor tried to help me with this problem and we checked the path designation and the NAS drive settings including SMB protocol, none of which were changed from the time I updated from S! to S2. The senior Sonos advisor was unable to repair the issue and more concerning was that he was not aware of this issue. The only workaround he explored with me was adding my backup Buffalo Linkstation folder to the music library setting and then deleting my regular NAS drive and then replacing it after which we deleted the backup. Combined with my new iMac Ventura OS not being able to update deskto
