Four 4ohm speakers into Amp??

Hi all,

was hoping for some help here. Looking to install 4 JL Audio Pavilion speakers outside and hopefully power them with Sonos Amp. The speakers say 4ohms, so I’m not sure how all this works. Here’s the link for the speakers. Can someone let me know if this is possible?  Thanks in advance!

You cannot use 2 pairs of 4 Ohm speakers unless you wire in some impedance matching volume controls.  The limit is 4 Ohms per channel, and a pair of 4 Ohm speakers per channel would be 2 Ohms total which will shut down the Amp.

Thank you, jgatie. Back to the drawing board.

Don’t go back to the drawing board until you look into impedance matching options.
