Seems like today’s iOS update just broke my ability to group my garage (Sonos One) and living room (which uses a One for L+R) im pretty upset about this. I don’t have another speaker to use in a room where I’d want music. HOW CAN I group just two rooms again?!
Hi, The vast majority of our household’s use of both Spotify and Sonos are playing Spotify playlists through our Sonos system. For years, I had no problems. Recently, however, a few of my long Spotify playlists would no longer load in Sonos when launched in the Sonos app. I began receiving the “unable to add songs to queue” message for Spotify playlists that were around 4,000 songs or more. I can get around the situation by launching the Spotify playlist through the Spotify app and then sending it to Sonos. That’s more inconvenient compared to the Sonos app, but it works. However, I also used to enjoy having some of those long playlists be morning or afternoon alarms, but when Sonos loads for an alarm a playlist that is too long, it flips to the chime instead. Anyhow, did something change in a software update a few months back? Is there some deep setting I can change somewhere? Or maybe it’s just me? Thank you.
I’ve often had issues with audio dropouts where some speakers keep playing and others go silent for awhile. I know there are a lot of possible solves, but one question I’ve been wondering is if my older Play 1s might be the issue. I have a mix of speakers including Play 1, One, Arc, Move, Sub (Gen 2), and a Boost. I’ve wondered if upgrading the Play 1s to either a One (or SL) might improve reliability. Curious if others have noticed any material differences. Thx!8.5.1
Following Apple update Sonos no longer working...sound now intermittent
Diagnostic : 1462913809Randomly I get a sound like radio with no signal, white noise, loud for a second or so, happens with YouTube Music and Amazon Music, so I don’t think it’s service related.I saw something about possible wifi issues, but that seems to be the blame for everything, surely it should be buffering, and this has only started happening recently.
Hi we have multiple sonos products in our system.Been using Sonos Amp for most part of the year. Several weeks ago it started having crackling sound while watching TV on all apps.Sonos System still on S1. Sonos Amp wired thru ethernet and hooked to an LG C8 oled via hdmi arc and paired with a Sonos SUB v2. Tried setting the sound output to both PCM and AUTO still the crackling remains.Happens every now and then but now getting more frequently. Sounds ok when I switch back to TV audio output using the built in speakers but when i switch back to the AMP via hdmi arc the crackling resumes. Playing music thru sonos using spotify and tidal no issues. All firmware both on TV and SONOS are updated. Will updating to SONOS S2 solve this? but i really do not want to update as I have a mix of new and legacy devices.I know the crackling issue here on the forums are a plenty but been a SONOS user for almost a decade and this is our first time with this issue. Yeah its been a frustrating experience
Does Sonos Radio work with a CR200? Mine just says “unable to browse music.” Sonos Radio works fine on my phone, iPad, and desktop.
I have an echo Dot and Sonos one, I also have some smart home items. I'm creating routines in Alexa and get the prompt Sonos one "audio actions in routines are currently not supported on this device" although it them proceeds to complete the audio action… What do I need to do to keep the audio action but stop the stupid message !
Most of the time my Sonos Connect delivers Plex music content to my AV system perfectly however, periodically, even whilst playing Plex content, it simply stops and repostd that the content can no longer be found.I have tried many things to sort this - rebooting the Connect, restarting the app, checking that Plex is still running OK (which it always is) and re-authorizing the Plex server to Sonos. Sometimes I thing the re-authorization works, but not always. It is most infuriating as it seems to always fail just when we have visitors etc.
Diagnostic 147347860EVERY TIME I want to play music I have to got to the living room; switch the plug on and off on the Playbar ( also added unplugging & plugging in the Ethernet too which I feel has slightly better success rate when combined with the switch on and off!).Tried everything I feel; firmware, I’ve taken the switch I had out my network; I’ve removed my second router from network; I’ve made sure 2g and 5g are same name; reset the virgin WiFi hub fully, made sure no guest network enabled… still every time… such an pain to listen to music; thought Sonos was supposed to be easy, clearly I’m not the only one with these issues, as seems a frequent topic but think I’ve tried the suggested solutions. I don’t have any issues with anything else connected in the house and have 250Mbs connection.
I steam a white noise loop at night to help me sleep. However, it stops several time in the middle of the night.I use two methods. I tell Alexa to “play brown noise”. This stops several times at night. I do the same thing in my kids room (which is just an echo dot no Sonos), and it will play nonstop for days if I don't stop it. The second method is playing a track from Spotify. This method will stop once per night. All of this is a fairly new occurrence within the last few months. My setup is Sonos Play:1 stereo pair connected with Ethernet through a switch individually and linked to an original Amazon echo. The Ethernet is new as of last night, we used to run on wifi, but I'm seeing the same issues persist, regardless of connection.
Whenever I ask Alexa to play music from Spotify she always says “now playing...” however there’s then silence. If I then repeat my request she says the same thing but the music does actually start playing - is there a fix?
My current router is currently listed as one that Sonos has a compatibility issue, so I am looking to buy a new router. However, I am unclear is the new speakers released earlier in 2020 are compatible with 802.11 ac routers. All of the discussions on the community are dated a few years ago now and do not apply to the new speakers. A duel band router would have a 2.4 GHZ band, and i read they are backwards compatible but I want to confirm before buying. Does anyone know?
After a recent update, Soundcloud playlists stopped loading. I can see the playlist, but when I click on it it’s empty. However visiting Soundcloud, the playlist is not empty. This my main use of Sonos so it’s a big problem for me. Spotify still works.Example: https://soundcloud.com/toots-the-maytals/sets/got-to-be-tough contains tracks but they don’t load on Sonos
The sound output on some channels keeps dropping/poor quality - Sky main event on BT sport is the worst!. The cable no longer held in sonos playbar firmly. Changing cable makes no difference. Is this a known fault ? Seems that the physical input has failed. Works on wifi ok.
My Sonos system was connected via Ethernet through my Playbar. I’ve moved my internet to a different room, meaning Sonos is now connected through a Play One. I couldn’t get the system to work and opted to factory reset all speakers. Since going through the factory reset process, I can no longer add Apple Music to my system. Each time I try, the Sonos app transfers me to Apple Music where I select, “Already a member” at which point I’m asked for my password. I am then presented with a pop up window saying, “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.”Here’s a diagnostic: 593911634Thanks in advance, to all that chip in.
Diagnostic #2021553568when it works well, it’s great, but listening to music from a tv source or YouTube makes all other speakers besides playbar and 1s in family room cut out. It is so annoying, I run around turning off WiFi on all other things in the house but it changes nothing, please help.i also have a boost, which does absolutely nothing.
Ive had really horrible performance on the latest updates. Song titles don’t update, grouping/volume doesn’t update or is very slow, etc. I rebooted the network per a support sessions with Sonia and rebooted my units and reinstalled the app today. Any ideas?
able to connect to all other services. SiriusXM says, “no selections are available, or unable to browse music
I recently changed my Apple ID and subsequently lost my Apple Music service connection. Since then I have tried my new password to no avail and have removed and reinstalled Apple Music. When authorising I get an error when it switches to apple music to authenticate saying “we’ve run into a problem. Try agin”. Anyone have any ideas. My subscription is up to date just the change in password caused the problem.
Does anyone else have issues adding YouTube Music songs to the queue? I own an IKEA Sonos symfonisk and it worked just fine until today when it just won't let me play any songs from my YouTube music account. Every other service I use works fine, my YouTube account is fine and the subscription is active. I have tried reseting the app and the speaker, nothing. Any ideas?
Hi all, s1 app on my son’s iphone not showing our sonos devices In the house WHILE all devices show on my S1 app on my iPhone without a problem. I even signed my son into my Sonos account
This is starting to get a bit tedious, especially for a 400,- costing device I just expect it to work. I have the Sonos Move now for almost two weeks. I have connected Youtube Music as a service but I can only choose what to play in the Sonos App, in the Youtube music app the speaker simply does not show. Now for Spotify it works, in the beginning in the browser ánd the app. Now, only on the app and maybe that is a Spotify thing, I am not sure but this is getting tedious. Yes, all devices are connected to the same WiFi network, the services are authorized and work from the Sonos app. Also, the Sonos app is able to connect to the speaker so no connection issues there. Anything I can do? I bought it so that I can play from different apps and devices (computers) across my home.
I have a Sonos One with Alexa along with an Echo Dot but the two wont operate together. To give an example if I ask Sonos One to play music in the kitchen it will do it but if I ask the Echo Dot to play music in kitchen it tries to do it but tells me the speaker is Offline - and it’s the same will all of the other speakers. So Sonos One and Alexa do not act as one.As far as I can tell they are linked in Alexa. I’d be grateful for any help in sorting this. Thanks Allan
I have an extensive Sonos system at home, including 1 Sonos Move. The system works fine, I’m using Smartthings Mesh network and also wired sonos products.Since couple of weeks, Sonos Move is showing offline, and I’ve tried all the troubleshooting solutions provided in the support sections, including: Reset, all system reboot, router and mesh reboot, tried even the whole house electricity shutdown… Still the Sonos Move won’t work.Meanwhile 3x Arc+Sub+Surrounds, 1 amp, 2x Sonos Five are all working fine.I’ve noticed that the Sonos Move won’t switch even to bluetooth after reset.I’m getting really pissed and angry by this issue.Any serious and working solution to solve this issue? Regards
