My connect amp keeps flashing red. I factory reset it but it goes back to flashing red. I’ve spent hours on here trying to figure it out. It’s a new house to us and the rest of the Sonos system is working well but this one connect amp. Looking for some more troubleshooting advice.
I have a full sonos system around the house and integrate my Rega planar P1 and Marantz CD6007 using a sonos port. My question is this:Can I improve the sound output from my Marantz CD6007 by connecting an external DAC inline (using the optical output) and then into the Port, or is that just a DAC into a DAC? The Port obviously has a DAC inside it but can I improve the signal before it gets to the Port? Many thanks in advanceNeil
I can’t connect my Port to the old Stereo--I’m including a photo of the back of the stereo. I believe I need to connect the Port input to the Speaker section. However, it’s not working.
I have two amps connected you can play on both individually but cant link them to play together?
Hi, am I the only one considering to swap out Sonos to Bluesound?Bluesounds newer products is launched with Dirac room correction, which allows to fine tune any speaker that is connected to it. And the also provides a wireless sub.
I purchased some products from Dubai, and I want to use them. However, when I try to set them up in the app, I receive an error message saying, 'We couldn't link your Sonos Amp to your account.' What should I do? Please help
sonos amp dose not work with CUBY mesh system
I have a Port connected to my Preamp, which is connected to my Amp, a Sub, and 2 speakers. I also have a turntable w/a Turntable Preamp, and a CD player. I currently use the Port as a streamer for the majority of listening. The sound is good, but lately I find I want to adjust the tone of the music, as previously my integrated amp did that. What component(s) should I consider (besides tube rolling on my Preamp) for adjusting tone? Should I add another DAC? An equalizer of some kind? Forget about the Port? Any and all suggestions are welcome!
I have a stereo pair of Play: 1 and a stereo pair of Symfonisk. Is it possible to add a Sonos Sub Mini to one of the pairs without unpairing the stereo pair?
I use Spotify to play podcasts. They cannot be streamed directly from within the Sonos app, so you must use the Spotify app and then sync to whichever Sonos speaker you wish to stream through via the speaker icon within the Spotify app. However, constantly my Sonos units are disappearing from that app and do not reappear. I've tried uninstall and reinstall, logging out of the account etc, all to no avail. Anyone have the solution? TIA
Found my previously fine ZP90 flashing red indicating it needed a reboot post upgrade (which I did not instigate). Rebooted it and now it’s dead. Plenty of comments going around about Sonos bricking old hardware, but nee to know if I’m missing something before considering the future. I have a mainly S1 system as it suits my needs. S1 was/is working fine on the rest of the devices, so maybe this is isolated, but this is the wired component and the rest is wireless from it. Doing the prescribed restart (hold in the mute whilst power on does nothing). LAN lights ok, but cannot connect via IP or LAN address. I’m an IT professional, so understand the network, architecture etc, so no, it’s not network related and only affects this item. What next?
Hello!I’m moving into a new place that has wired speakers throughout the house. The wall plate has a 3.5mm input that uses cat5 to a panel in the basement. The speakers then go from the panel to the rest of the house. The amp has the speaker connectors to output to the speakers but I can’t do that. So my question is, Can I use a 3.5mm to speaker wire adapter? Or can I go from speaker wire to RCA to 3.5mm jack? Thanks everyone!
Ever since the Sonos updates mess with everything my Sonos Port just stops working. Everyday I have to unplug and plug it in to get it working. This device feeds my whole house distribution system so it been a pain.Has anyone heard if there is a date when Sonos is going to get its act together and fix this mess. Don’t understand why they just don’t pull the new mess down and put the old app back until they can get it right.very frustrating
I have a somewhat old Amp that seems to have died a few days ago. I was listening to it one evening, and clicked the play / pause button to turn it off. The next day, it was dark and wouldn’t power up or connect. I reset it with the button on the back, and the light will come on and blink white for a while, which is encouraging at first. But then it goes dark. And if you press the play / pause button it will blink red three times, then go dark again.I suspect it is a brick. Looking around the internet, it looks like sonos does not do out of warranty repairs? Just trying to figure out my options here.
Hi, I'm recreating this thread, as the discussion wasn't finished, but it was locked. I also wanted to make it obvious this is a Sonos issue, not a client environment issue. https://en.community.sonos.com/components-and-architectural-228999/connect-amp-keeps-dropping-out-audio-6885634/index2.html I've been following this for a while because I've been having the same issues, and when I spoke to support they said the connect amp can't cope with modern software and that I should upgrade to the amp, which is clearly unacceptable. This has been confirmed by people in that original thread who have been told the same thing. BillJanzen“FWIW, these issues seem to have occured after the June 2023 software update to S2 version 15.5. Interestingly, there is an alert posted in the release notes of the 15.6 update released July 25, 2023 about adjusting how older Sonos products use their internal memory. See below (copied from https://support.sonos.com/en-ca/article/release-notes-for-sonos-s2): Aler
All I want is to connect my pre-configured speakers to my new modem via WiFi (without losing my existing SONOS setup). Unfortunately, whether I use the latest SONOS app or the older S1 version, my speakers are not discoverable on either my iPad or Samsung mobile device. After repeatedly trying the WiFi troubleshooting steps, the status lights were inconsistent—flashing white, which indicates it's either still booting or trying to connect to WiFi. I couldn't get the chime or the flashing orange status light during the connection process; instead, the setup would just stop and fail to find the speaker. The next step was to connect to my router via a LAN connection. Success, sort of. My system finally showed up in the SONOS app, and I waited an additional 5 minutes after the white status light became solid, just in case it was still updating the firmware. Unfortunately, when I placed the speaker back on the shelf and disconnected the LAN cable, the speaker was no longer discoverable, despit
I have an older SONOS setup using (2) Connect Amps on a 2.4 G wireless network that a few months back stopped working. I trouble shot the system cycling power to my Xfinity wireless router and I can see only (1) of the Connect Amps but, not both at the same time. I have used the “Search for Product” feature and it cannot find the other Connect Amp. I have reset my SONOS S1 App and still no luck. If I disconnect the (1) Connect Amp I can see on the App and connect (power) the other (1) Connect Amp, I can see that one. In other words they both work separately on my wireless network but, not together. Need help in solving this issue.
Hello. Problem with playing the Sonos connect amp. When you turn on playback, there is an instant sound and then disappears. As if the sound mute mode is turned on.I can send you a video of the problem.
I have a pair of Klipsch RP-5000F speakers connected to the Sonos Amp. This system has been good but now I will upgrade to the Arc Ultra and a set of the Era 300.My question is should eliminate my passive speakers altogether? I will be using the new set up as I have with the passive speakers for both music and television. Thanks!
One of a several Sonos Amp has not worked. Sonos won’t back their products and will only provide a discount to buy a new Amp. I’d rather get the current Amp fixed and hoping fellow Sonos owners can help. Looks like “L2” is fried? Thoughts on fixing this?
I am building a new house. There is currently no drywall so i am able to audio everywhere. My plan is to do 8 speakers in the living room, 2 in the master bedroom, few in the patio etc. My question is, how do i wire 4 speakers to 2 channels from the amp? Do I just go + to + on 1 architectural in-ceiling speaker and follow that to the + on the second speaker? Same for -? Thank you!
My Connect is never in sync with my other Sonos speakers. I’m going straight into an amp, so it’s not AVR latency… Is this inherent with the connect?
My sonos connect amp with serial number: 1508-B8-E9 etc… is not being detected by the application.I havent used for a few years - is there a software application that can be used?
Does anyone have any experience with connecting Sonos Amp:connect devices to Meraki switches? I have just installed four Meraki switches, replacing some old Netgear switches. One switch acts as the core switch and the three other switches are connected via trunk ports. RSTP is enabled, core switch has a priority of 0, other switches are set to 12288, 20480, and 28672. STP guard is not enabled on ports. There are approx 14 Sonos Amp devices on the network with the majority plugged into one of downstream switches. The sonos devices were producing a number of bdpu and loop issues so we disabled the wireless on each sonos device as there is ample cabling. We have also now plugged in the majority of sonos devices into the core switch. We are no longer seeing bdpu or loop alerts but the devices are intermittently disappearing from the sonos controller s1 app (from the rooms view on the app). I have also noticed that I'm unable to ping the devices when this happens but then they suddenly come
I have a ZP80 and a ZP90 which both drop the signal when I’m using the RCA outputs. Both work fine when using the COAX output. I believe this is because the COAX out bypasses the Sonos DAC and instead uses the DAC in my amplifier. My problem is, I want to use one of these with an amp that doesn’t have a DAC (or a COAX input). So, my question is, is there some kind of software update (or reset) that will get these old ZPs working through the RCA outs? I use the S1 controller and have mostly older Sonos gear that all works fine on S1.Alternatively, should I buy an external DAC that I can control from my ZP (use the COAX or Digital outputs) and plug the DAC into my amp using RCA outputs? Or would this be throwing good money away on old gear? Thank you,Scott
