Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide placement of the Sonos by Sonance Architectural speakers for my patio. Since I'm an audio novice, trying to see if anyone could offer advice for speaker placement.
Attached is the layout of the patio (brown) and yard (light green). The black areas are where the house is located. The numbers are roughly the dimensions (in feet) of the yard.
There are three potential speaker locations in red, green, and blue circles. What two speaker positions out of the three would work best for coverage of the patio and yard?
Thank you!

How many speakers?
Are these the only acceptable locations?
Two speakers will be installed. These are the only three potential locations as this area is protected via an oning.
With that setup, I would recommend 4 speakers instead of 2 for the best coverage.
The black boxes would be a better placement for full coverage.
I have a neighbour who opted for only two speakers in his yars and thought placing them on one side would be enough. He now has to turn them up really loud if he want coverage in the front (top portion for you) and far side (lower right portion for you).
It would also be a good idea to use the dual mono function on the amp for this type of setup.
With only two speakers you’d have a choice, the green and red dots and aimed out into the yard a bit for the most filling sound, in mono mode of course.
Both at the red dot and aimed just a bit in from the side walls, enough to reduce tweeter reflections but still enhance the low end, again mono mode. You’d get more thump in the central patio area and adjoining yard but leaving the ends of the yard pretty weak.
With four I like the above suggestion, maybe modified a bit. The lower speaker moved in away from the yard border so more of the sound stays in your yard.
