I just got another speaker which I am putting in my living room with my existing speaker. The existing is named Living Room and the new one is LR 2. I am trying to pair them as Left and Right, but the app keeps offering me a different speaker in a different room to pair. What do I do?
I have 22 various Sonos speakers through my home. I also have a 1 Gbps Internet high speed connection with a Asus AC-5300 high end router. When all 22 speakeers are plugged in and operating my speedtest performance is about 150 mbps. Today, I shut off 8 of the Sonos speakers. I then did a speedtest and consistently got close to 500 mbps. I again re-plugged in the Sonos speakers and performance dropped again to 150 mbps. Can someone tell me why Sonos speakers are so chatty that they are killing my network?

My Play:5 keeps cutting out randomly. The music in the app appears to be still playing (the time carries on) and when the play:5 comes back it is at the new timeframe (not where it cut out). If I play the same music in different rooms the music only cuts out on the Play:5
My Sonos move displays in the app but does not display battery charge and won't enable status lights or touch controls. I've tried full turn of but still won't display correctly.
I have just connected my brand new Pro-Ject Debut Carbon to a Play five. Very bad sound. Have to play almost 100% to hear anything. Any good quick fix?
Hi, Sonos Play 5 connected via LAN, another Sonos Play 5 in another room vis WLAN.Every morning Sonos system cannot be found in the network. After speakers get disconnected from power the appear in the network. Anderl
We've recently moved to a much larger home and with it, we've expanded our system. As we’ve expanded the Sonos app has been unstable in the grouping, playing, stopping the music. For example, when trying to launch music everywhere, I often get errors that Sonos is unable to connect or the device is not available to try again. When music is playing, speakers cut out. This is so apparent when there's only 1 speaker in a room. Here's the setup 1) Office1 and Office2: 1 Move and 1 play:1 each office2) Great Room: arc, sub g3, 2x only3) Amp general space4) Amp poolBedroom Beam Bathroom play:1 Billiards: play at, sub g2, 2xone Martini room: 2x oneSL Kitchen play:1 Dining room play:1 Foyer play:1 Network:Verizon gigabit Fios connected toNetgear Orbi wifi6 meshDisconnected apple homelit integration and Alexa integration. Purchased a Move less than 3 weeks ago and I'm very happy with the addition to my Sonos collection, but I am not happy with the Move’s discharge of its battery when in shutdown - down to 16% after less than 2 weeks in the fully off state. Also when in standby, it wakes up unnecessarily whenever the Sonos app is opened. Any other modern battery-powered device when in shutdown (eg laptop, phone, tablet etc) will self-discharge of course, but to a much lesser extent, probably up to 10% a month, certainly not losing 84% of charge in 11 days like the Move does. It's definitely off and dead to the world (shows ‘offline’ in the app) when it is powered off (long press and chime) and when powered up from that state it takes time to reconnect to the network, which is what's expected from fully off.I have asked for a return and refund from the shop but I have been asked to submit a diagnostic by the shop in order for Sonos to determine whether it is faulty or working as designed. As I didn't see
Recently I have changes my iMac and had to re-synchronise my music with iCloud. Ever since I have done this the My Music tab within Apple Music doesn’t populate my own music anymore. I am able to listen to Radio, New and For You, however even after Reauthorise Account and deleting account My Music this still doesn’t populate. I have called the helpdesk and they claim it has to do with issues with the iOS version I am using, a beta version. However, this is not correct, the iOS and macOS are both official released version and up to date. It has been 3 weeks now without being able to use my Sonos system to listen my personal music. By this time any synchronisation between Apple Music, iCloud and Sonos should been completed and ready for use. Any one else seen this issues, and knowing how to resolve this?
Just purchased a second Sonos One to create surround sound. Plugged in and powered on. At end of the process to connect, it stated it needed a software update. At end of update, it had an error message that mentioned unit did not update and to unplug. I unplugged let it sit for about 10 min and plugged back in. Unit will not power up. Have tried multiple outlets. Plug is secure. Anyone else experience this?
I cant add the sonos beam to my Network. I have a new router so i had to install a new Network and the play 1 was not a problem to add, but the sonos beam cant be added!! When trying to connect the beam the app finds it and starts to ”prepare” but then loses the conncetion. I have tried it several times but with the same results. All devices (iOS) is updated, i have tried with wire, i have tried everything that the sonos ”help page” tell me to do but nothing works!! What do I do???
So a couple of weeks ago I changed he name of my PC to remove confusion with another one running in the house. Sonos and my music was stored on the machine I changed names on, and now when I try to play music Sonos tells me it can’t find the server and quotes the previous computer name….I suspect it has to do with that computer name change. How do I sort this, please? Cheers
Having intermittent issues for the last month or so. System includes a connect amp and wired speakers. I launch Sirius app and will get message: unable to connect. After a few tries it works, but super inconsistent. Same thing happens with Pandora. anyone else having this issue? Thoughts on how to troubleshoot?
I had a dock that I was using just to charge my old iPod and I removed it before I switched over to S2. I see that it has now reappeared on in my system on the webpage, not on the app. I cannot remove it and my thought is that this is what may be causing my system’s problems. Can someone please remove it for me? I have unplugged the dock totally and I am using a regular charger cord.
Hi, I went from never having issues with playback reliability to either A) pausing and restarting a few seconds later every few minutes or B) giving an error message (it varies but usually about playback starting elsewhere) and just stopping. This never used to happen, but issues started around the time I upgraded my WiFi to Eero and switched my primary streaming service from Google Play to Spotify.
Ok, I’ve checked several threads and spent 2-3 days on my issue. Hopefully someone smart out there can help! How about this one: I connected my new AMP to my Orbi Wifi and everything was great. Then when I connected a new Five speaker, that worked well. However, the speakers connected to the AMP no longer have vocals on the music (only background music, which sounds fine). I have troubleshot everything… the speakers, the AMP (Sonos gave up and sent me a new one but the issue persisted), and I even swapped out using my Verizon router and connected straight though the Orbi. Worth noting I also have an Orbi extender. I can see that the Amp is on 2.4G, and the Five is on 5G, and Sonos reps think that could be an issue. But there seems to be no way to correct that. Any suggestions at all are welcome, and I am looking for a holiday miracle!
MANY of us are having problems using powerline adapters with SONOS. This is not an unfixable problem, so when will it be full-on addressed? Sonos did not (and actually seems unwilling to) address their ongoing ethernet-setup issue. The needs for most of us to make SONOS work over ethernet powerline adapters are two fold:(1) Many of us use ethernet to connect our SONOS speakers; sometimes for performance issues with our wifi, and others recognize that their wifi radiation is worse than a Chernobyl cancer zone. No matter which, after spending dozens of hours on the phone with about a dozen SONOS tech’s, no one has been able to solve the issue. If we want to turn off SONOS dangerous radiation, then we need to use ethernet. (2) Who wants wires running all over the place through their house or apartment? Duh. After hours with SONOS techies, I ‘get’ the problem: ¾ of powerline adapter issues relate to the fact that many/all/most powerline ethernet adapters generate new IP’s for each/every c

Hi all, I updated a while ago for S2 app for Android and since then I have following issue: Volume bar is too sensitive in a way that when I have all devices set for 0 (minimum) the next step (one tap for the the control) to increase the volume is already too loud. This makes controlling the volume really problematic as not able to listen Sonos with low volume at all! I tried to change the from each device the volume setting down to 30% etc. but it doesnt solve the issue. Please see attached pic which gives first sounds after off setting, where sound (rooms 30%, playbar 60% sound volume). If I go one step down, no sound at all and higher, already “loud”. Previous S1 controller would give identical sound bars much more to the right giving more space to set the volume either direction.
Since I am no longer able to stream my music from my phone, I have tried to do it from my laptop, running Windows 10, fully updated. However, when I try to do this, the app on my laptop asks to start updating the software on Sonos, then tells me that the update has failed and that there is something wrong. How this company stays in business is a mystery to me. Streaming music over the network is dumb when bluetooth is simpler and doesn’t depend on a router. I’m not ready to give it away and buy a BOSE.
Hi i have constantly cracking noise in my sonos play 5 after I cange network at home (to better router) what can be the problem ? SonosOne are working great but not the big play 5 diagnostic number: 903182096

I have 4 Connect:Amps that I’ve set up in a Wired setup (one amp has a hard wired ethernet cable).I continually get dropouts on the Connect:Amps when using Spotify This happens both from within the spotify app and the sonos app. I do not get dropouts on the 3 Play:1 speakers I have.I’ve tried connecting different Amps to the ethernet, switching to full wireless mode, and still get the audio drops.I have a very fast router, clocking 400Mbps routinely via wireless near the amps, and even faster when wired.Anyone have suggestions on how to keep the drops from happening?
