I have noticed recently my Connect is getting very hot on the top. Although i can hold my hand on it it is uncomfortable to do so. Is this a problem?It has also started to occasionally stop playing part way through a song. It will then start at the next song or i have to shut down the app and restart it otherwise the app won’t help it.

I love Sonos products and have a dozen different speakers, amps, sound bars, etc.Using the iPhone app to control them is maddening.  It must be the most sensitive app to any hiccup ever written.  The app continually goes offline “unable to connect to Sonos system”, typically when I need to turn it down/off for a phone call.  After a few minutes, it comes back.  I can force it to return by turning off Wi_Fi on my phone and rejoining the network.  Nothing has changed on my network for over a year.  Same router, SID, security, etc.When is the next update to the Sonos iPhone app expected?  It’s overdue….

Hi all, It seems my SONOS soundbar is continually adjusting when I have an electric fan on near it. It also seems to do this when many people are in the house. It’s as if it’s auto-adjusting it’s output to my Sony Bravia. This means that sometimes even at 0 volume it can still be heard. I continue pressing down on the volume and it seems to reset itself. Any ideas?

I have several wired Sonos products + few not wired and a Roam. I have a main router and 2 WAPs - in lounge (netgear) and bedroom (ubiquity). The iOS app does not connect to the Sonos system when wifi connected near the main router but ok when connecting to wifi near 2 WAPs. All 3 use same SSID. Roam struggles to connect back via wifi after it’s been used from Bluetooth or randomly disappears from iOS controller. When this happens, on Spotify connect can see roam but on iOS controller  it’s not there. I am not a network expert - suspect it’s something to do with WAPs and DHCP settings. Netgear has option to set up or let router set it - not sure which one to use? Any help appreciated !

My sonos has simply stopped working. Cannot connect the bridge, although it was working without the bridge connected for about 2 or mor months. Now it says it cannot connect and error 30 comes up. I am fairly technical but need someone to hold my hand to get this working again.. what do i have to do to get my music playing ?? please help. thanks Elena  

Hi There, I have read some questions about the same issue I’m facing right now. But unfortunately I have not seen any solution yet.The issue: I bought a pair of Sonos One, and registered them. They worked well. After a while I had to change my wi-fi network. I thoght no problem, I went through the steps advised by Sonos FAQ, and one of the speakers could be re-registered under the new wi-fi system (it is working well). But the other speaker is problematic. The android app could not see it. I can’t even go back the factory reset, since the speaker goes back to solid white led signal after every factory reset trial. So it seems the speaker is connected to somewhere but I don’t know where, and I don’t have the access to the speaker, because the application on my mobile don’t see it. Of course I have already went through hundreds of SONOS FAQs, but no one helped. :(( So what now? Many thanks for every idea. 

I have been having connection issues with my Play:1ever since I switched to S2. The app will show unable to connect at first. I have gone through the re-setup process so many times that I gave up. Then I realize if I leave the app on without doing anything it will connect after some time - usually more than 10 mins. Does anyone else have this issue? Also why is there no email support? I cannot find any similar issues here or in your support page. How can I get technical support directly other than posting in this community chat? 

My Playbase sound will start and stop when playing music from my iMac.  It does not do this when playing the TV sound or the internet radio.  My Play 1 speakers do not have this issue - its just the the Playbase.  I did turn the power off and back on for the Playbase but that has not resolved it.  Any suggestions?

Hi all,We are an av installer and use sonos in some client setups. Mostly port or connect and we are experiencing a lot of problems after newest updates in S2.A lot of clients are reporting missing players. The player dissapears in the sonos app but is still active on the network and replies to ping and :1400/status page. Most of our installs are hardwired and wifi off, a lot of these installs worked fine for a long period until now.I think the issue occurs when playing spotify music selected in the sonos app.Other players playing internet radio trough sonos radio or tunein have no issues. Also when playing spotify trough spotify connect the players don’t disappear. Since we allready know of 10+ installs with these problems I don’t think the network or network gear is causing this. Because there are different routers and switches with most of the installs. Anyone aware of this issue or experiencing the same?  

I’ve got about 10 different Sonos products spread out around the house. Inexplicably, the whole system will not be recognized by either the Sonos app on my phone or the app on my Mac. However, when I ask Alexa to play, she is able to find the products and stream to them. The app does throw up an error message. However, I am never able to resolve the issue by following the instructions.  One particular instruction is that I turn everything off and on. However, this is not really practicable since four of the speakers are high up on the wall. Please advise what other detail you might need to help. I’ve submitted diagnostic 890531980 for reference. 

Pathetic…thousands of dollars spent on your products and I all I get is two minutes of music before it skips to new tracks or tells me its not encoded..or just stops completely…I have tried switching off the Auto Lock feature on my phone, reset my Wi Fi network and removed / re-added all devices back on with no success…you know where you can shove your products from now on!if only I was aware of the thousands of people who have these same issues with no real, palpable solution, I wouldn’t have bothered spending my hard earned money on this rubbish. 

I have recently upgraded my router and have noticed that the Sonos S2 app is not connected to my play base and also under the settings tab, the headings “Account”, “System” and “Services and Voice” are all greyed out.  I have followed the in app guide to reconnect, but it will never find the play base. I have tried re setting router, turning playbase on/off, reset the app, uninstalled the app, created a brand new account on the app, but still these settings are still greyed out- same on my wife’s phone also. How am I supposed to set up the new network and put in the WiFi password etc with these settings greyed out? It’s like the whole thing is locked up and it’s super frustrating.  Any help is greatly appreciated! 

I’m been experiences some sound drop offs.  They’re are VERY brief but very noticeable.  I found the network matrix for my system and it seems to have many many many problems.I have:  devices with incorrect serial numbers down the left column,  extra devices across the top,  devices across the top with incorrect serial numbers  undefined STP states,  red connection levels,  missing OFDM levles on some devices.All of my devices are connected wirelessly.I’m wondering if I can fix these problems or if I should delete everything & start over.  It’s only six devices so this might be the quickest plan unless I redo everything and end up with the same problems.Thoughts?  Suggestions?     

My whole system seems to be failing and its making me feel like giving up on sonos altogether.I have 5 x 1, beam, play 3, play 5 and a move. Up until about 3 weeks ago its been running prefect for the last couple of years. Although lots of problems before that. All of a sudden a few speakers disappeared and I couldn't play them. Some just couldn't be found and others were there and said they were playing but no sound. Others were being found but they wouldn't connect. I tried to reinstall the play 5, 3 and one of the 1's as it was the system in my kitchen dining room that I was having the most problems with. they started to be found before they disappeared again. I turned my wi fi on and off a few times and that seemed to help before they started to drop out again. The kitchen has a wi fi extender but I have previously set up a separate channel for them after problems in the past but I'm not sure how to check if they are still on

Morning. Just moved to a new home. I’ve not yet connected my Play 1 speakers but the house has a connect that’s linked to 6 Sonos speakers in the kitchen ceiling. Only 4 of them are working. Any clues of how to track down / fix the problem ?

After several years the volume and mute buttons on my 650 control have gone inert . I’m trying to shift these functions to other unassigned buttons on the 650 e.g. the Channel Up/Down switch as the new volume control. However, these the volume and mute functions seem to be tied to the original buttons. Thus deleting the Playbar does not free-up the original buttons. Has anyone successfully done this buttons transfer?

I bought a Roam on release and used it a bit but as it's mainly for holiday it's been sat doing nothing for quite a while. On holiday now after leaving it to charge overnight and it's completely dead. Just noticed it's not showing in the Sonos app and I've tried various chargers and all it does is show a red light when plugged in. Nothing happens when I hold power button or try to factory reset. Any ideas?

Curious why my sound fluctuates so much. I run everything through the Sonos. Apple TV, Apple Music, PS5 and Lg CX tv. It seems one minute I have to crank up the volume to hear anything and the next it’s too loud across the board no matter what I use.  Ive tried the volume in settings turning that up but then something may be too loud. I need to get this balanced. Thanks all 

ok have an old Gen 1 play 5  using S1 controller and 6 using S2 ( this functioning fine) cannot get the S1 controller to play any music yet  controller shows it is  play 5 under system . help? 

I can see the speakers on the network from my PC with file explorer- so WiFi networking side of things is fine. I can also Ping them from my PC.The speakers set up OK on the new network and work fine with my iPhone using my iPhone music library but when I try to use my main music library (on my PC) the app on the phone cant connect to that library. I have done all the usual shut down and power up in sequence things but no change. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the S2 app on the PC but that makes no difference.I have tried connecting a speaker directly to the router. No difference.I have to say - the S2 PC app is not really very helpful when there’s a problem. There is no network diagnostics/analysis just the option to Try Again……   

Have BT Whole home Mesh set-up with 3 dishes and Sonos Boost. The master disc is plugged into main BT Home Hub, as is my Boost. About a month ago I added Sonos Move to my setup, had to reset it recently and had to ensure it connected to BT Whole home Mesh WiFi. What is the Boost doing and should I wire it too the Mesh disc?

Hi,My system occasionally (and supposedly) loses connectivity with my router which results in error codes during playback from Sonos, System update, etc. This can be remedied with a factory reset, but then I need to set everything up again which is not only a tedious process because I have to manually and individually configure true play for my entire system comprised of 4x Sonos One (gen 2) and a Beam.I can’t for the life of me understand what causes these issues as I can see that their visible to my router in the router GUI. I’ve tried to change both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, I’ve also tried restarting all units including the router concurrently and individually.All Sonos units are showing solid white LEDs, which should indicate a steady connection. Another thing, the mobile app won’t let me manage trusted networks, because it throws error code 800 when it tries to verify/validate the sonos app version ( I suppose)Any clues?

I cannot turn on my Sonos Move device. It seems to be charging (the light turns on when put in charger. It is fully charged). But it doesn't turn on and can't get connected!? Any advices?

I have a problem that has been driving me crazy for the last month, and I really hope someone can help me out.I recently moved to a new house, where I have set up a wireless network using a router connected to three Ubiquity Unifi 6 Lite access point. Two are on the ground floor and one on the first floor.All in all, the network performance is great, except for one thing; connection to my Sonos speakers. I have a couple of different speakers; 3 Play:1's, a Sonos Move, an Arc and a IKEA Symfonisk bookshelf speaker. Everything is set up using the new Sonos S2 platform.The problem is, that while I can usually set up the speakers fine enough in the Sonos app, they tend to disappear and re-appear in the app at random. This happens both when I want to play music, but they also just cut out randomly when music is playing.My current assumption is that the issue is related to that the speakers each connect to different Unifi APs, and that they somehow can't see ea

When I stream uploaded tracks from my Youtube Music library to Sonos, Sonos always cuts off the last minute or so of the song.  Total mood killer!Youtube Music is my main streaming service and I’ve uploaded a ton of personal tracks to my library at aren’t available anywhere else, so if it doesn’t work with Sonos, I’d be inclined to use different speakers rather than switching my streaming service.  I love Sonos sound quality so I hope this issue gets fixed ASAP!
