If I connect the sonos in my kitchen to a LAN cable, the dining room (otherside of brick wall) has a poor very very intermittent sound issue…. If I plug the living room sonos into a LAN cable too, the dining room signal is then perfect…. the living room is further away, but not though any walls…. Is the 2.4 Sonosnet network really that weak? I thought all of my devices would connect to each other in a mesh and make a stable network… doesn’t seem to be that way. Considering just plugging them all into a LAN connection!!! Any thoughts?
Following the upgrade of my ZenWifi XT8 to Version 3.0.0.4.386.43170 all my wifi speakers disappeared from the Sonos App. The only way to make them work was to connect one of the speakers to the ZenWifi router directly using an Ethernet cable and reboot all the other speakers. The router sees them as all connected through cable and work fine. However, I wanted my Speakers to be all connected through wifi again and I had to downgrade my ZenWifi XT8 router nodes to the previous firmware that worked perfectly (Version 3.0.0.4.386.42095 2021/03/18).Do other Sonos / ZenWifi XT8 users see the same incompatibility with this specific firmware version? Thanks!
Something has changed recently, I can still play music on my So is surround system off the internet, but can no longer connect to the tv, no ability to adjust sound with tv at all, it’s like it is not connected. I have a red output signal on my optical audio cable. It was working fine very recently
WXKW is listed on radio.com and tunein. Neither will play. I ran diagnostics and sent to Sonos. Here is the number 151565757.Please help.
Relying on Apps to setup external devices always seems like a crap shoot to be honestI have an iPhone 8 running 14.7.1 and the Sonos 2 App. My home is hard wired with a router->switch->second switch→Sonos Arc. In trying to setup the Sonos Arc, the iphone App identifies the product and I select Add. Unfortunately after a few minutes I get the following:I’ve unplugged the Sonos a few times. I’ve restarted the App a few times as well, and that’s as far as I get. Within my router settings, I can confirm the Sonos has received an IP address from the wired ethernet: Honestly really frustrated. I thought this stuff just worked. What a pain in the A**!
No matter what I do, I can’t play Spotify Radio stations. I consistently get the “Unable to start radio station (Spotify)” message. I am able to play Playlists just fine. Not sure how to troubleshoot this. I can play fine if I open Spotify manually and play through there.
I just installed 3 amps with 5 pairs of outdoor Bowers & Wilkins am-1. It seems these speakers cannot handle the base in certain music above 75% of max volume. Which is needed outdoor. Base hits bottom and it sounds like speakers will break. These were sold together from the official retailer in Sweden.Question is, can I wire a decent outdoor subwoofer to help the speakers (to a 4th amp)? Like the Sonance rk-10. If I get rid of these speakers, are there any others that can work better? Super annoying…
relatively new sonos amp. The amp routinely plays music at random (many times at 3am)When I do start playing I often hear clicking noises and it often plays even after turned off via app. I have alreadyreset all speakers created new account turned off alkarms confirmed no devices are connectedThank you!

Hello, I am confused here. I didn’t change anything in my setup and my radio playback (both TuneIn and myTuner) and gets choppy (random brakes every couple of minutes/seconds).If my ios app is open I see the message as in the title. Spotify/Airplay runs fine - no breaks. I did reset the app and devices. I even switched to wired setup and created mesh network. Then I turned off both of my wifi networks: 2.4 and 5 GHz. It’s still the same on all of my receivers (play 5, play1, move, one). It even persist on the one which is directly connected to the router. My router has enough of bandwidth: Downstream :85.1 Mbit/s Upstream :38.8 Mbit/s I could buy Sonos Boost but now I am bit doubtful if this will help. Can I get into some kind of logs/debug messages to see what is causing buffering issues? Any clues?
Hi there, I have previously used the diagnostics matrix to determine which speakers have strong or weak connections. I have now installed a Mesh network so I have 4 “nodes” that act as 1 SSID, running wifi6 etc. and I’m interested to see if the diagnostic matrix shows an improvement. When I use the same URL I now get as screen as per the attached image. I’m not 100% convinced the change of network is relevant but worth mentioning. Devices are Connect Amp (so I am limited to S1 app), Playbar and two Play3s. I have tried with 1 device wired, reset wifi settings, all show WM:0, all have been rebooted and I’ve tried the same URL using each of the IP addresses. I’m out of ideas. This is what I see
I added a Sonos Move to my existing system. There are 3 Sonos AMPs in the system also. Two of the AMPs are hardwired to the network, one is wireless. All of the AMPs group properly with each other. The Sonos MOVE will play fine by itself. If you play something on the MOVE then add in another room, it shows like everything is grouped properly (including volume display for both rooms) but the second added room doesn’t play anything (even though the app indicates that it is). If I start with one of the AMPs then add in the MOVE, I get the same secanario except the room with the AMP works and the MOVE doesn’t play. The volume is turned up and displays as such, but there is no sound. I have tried:Rebooting all Sonos devices and the Modem/Router Switching to different WiFi channels Switching from 2.4GHz network to 5GHz network Factory defaulting Sonos MOVE and readding Calling tech support, twice Moving the MOVE close to the modem/router Grouping the MOVE with different AMPsWhen I ca
Hi. I’m pretty happy with the performance of my Sonos kit. I have a big system. I have recently moved from using sonosnet to using my TP Link 3 channel mesh network. This seems to have stopped most of the sound dropouts I was getting. Likely because there is less congestion on the 2.4 ghz band. Anyway, when my wife and I sleep, we play a spotify track on repeat (deep sleep delta waves) as it helps us sleep. It kind of stutters when repeating. Sometimes pauses for a few seconds between reaching the end and replaying. In the Sonos app I often see ‘cannot play this song as it is not properly encoded’. Surely that error is garbage, if it’s streaming fine most of the time. Is there a better way to achieve the aim here? I have a NAS I could host a song on. I could build a longer version of the song. There’s no problem playing with Spotify in general (unless Sonos needs an update, but we use Spotify issues as a trigger to check for system updates). Thanks for any suggestions!
For 3 days now I am unable to play anything on my 5 Sonos speakers, an error comes up that reads ‘Unable to play X connection to Spotify was lost’ Before this issue came about, the system would play 5 seconds of a song before changing track, unprompted. I ran a system diagnostic and my number is: 1973324632 Please list out ways I can solve this. Please see below steps I have already taken 1. Restarted modem and router 3 times. (Including unplugging power for 3 minute reset)2. Disconnected the Spotify account 3 times and reauthroized the account 3 times.3. The system has no updates to install. I cannot update Sonos.Restarted both apps. Tried to play from the Spotify app with their ‘connect to device’ feature, will not play.
Playbase has a permanent buzzing sound.
Hello, I have a seven Sonos devices in four rooms.Living room: Soundbar and two Play:1 for surround Bedroom: One Play:1 Kitchen: Two Play:1’s Garden: Amp powering two speakers. Both the living room and kitchen devices keep disappearing from my system list. However, when I watch TV it plays through the Sonos devices and if I ask my kitchen Google device to play music it will play through the Sonos devices linked to it. However, I can not go into the app and just play some music to these devices. I completely reset the entire system and restarted my router and got everything set back up but they have both disappeared again. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.
Hi,When I add a song from Spotify to play next, it always skips. If I add two songs, the first will skip and the second will play. I have 100MB fibre broadband. The ‘main’ Sonos speaker in the network is connected by Ethernet. I’ve done hard resets, advised by Sonos, and the problem still isn’t solved.Hoping someone can help me on this because I’ve spoken to Sonos support twice and the problem has persisted. it’s doing my head in.Any tips?Ant
Hi, I just came back from holiday and I suddenly cannot get my Sonos app to show me my devices. All devices are showing a solid white light and I have tried to restart my router, checked the wire, etc. Nothing helps. I even reset the app and now I am totally stucked.Diagnostic number from my husband’s app is 1543667517thanks for help.
Just bought a 2021 Sony smart tv for my patio and connected my Move via Bluetooth. It worked perfectly watching a Netflix movie. Then changes to YouTube and had no sound. Tried another Netflix movie and still no sound. Tv shows it’s connected to the Move. I’m confused in the change. Any ideas on the issue? Sony remote says Bluetooth also when operating volume. Don’t want a sound bar out on the patio and would like this Move to work. My house is full of Sonos so it’s not new to me.
I just added a new AMP to drive two pairs of ceiling speakers. Speakers work after initial setup (first use) of AMP but don’t work afterwards. Any ideas?
Hi!I recently moved into a student residence with shared wifi. I bought a wifi extender to pair my Sonos with to keep others from jumping on my speakers. When searching for systems instead of giving me to option to connect to my speakers I’m joining onto someone else’s system in the condo and being asked to sign in to an email I don’t recognize. Has anyone encountered this problem before? How do I work around this and start enjoying my system? Thank you!! :-)
Hi,I am having issues with my sonos system ( 2x Sonos One Gen2 and 2x One SL). Both Sonos and Spotify apps are up to date. I also have just updated my entire Sonos system. Yet I am playing music from my spotify account using the Sonos app and I am playing the song on repeat (white noise for the kids) and crossfade. The song plays for a good 30 min to an hour but then the music suddenly stops and I get a message either saying unable to play the selected title (though it was working fine for am hour) or it says, unable to connect to Spotify.I have performed router reboot, and each individual sonos unit reboot. I have no interfering equipment that I know of. Please find here below the diagnostic report of my issue: 857191718.Looking forward to your help. Arno
Hello, this morning I found one of my Sonos One gen 2, forming a stereo pair not working.I have tried to hard reset it and after reboot, the blinking white led just never stops. Not any of the touch buttons are responsive. Could not add back the speaker to the system, the sonos app could not even see it. Is there a way to make it work again? Thanks(calling the support by phone, unfortunately it's not an option for me)
Using Sonos Play1 (4 off) and Play 3 (2 off)After installing a new WiFi Router (TP-link AX5400 Archer AX73) the audio periodically drops out for approximately 10 to 30 seconds and then comes back on. Network consists of FTTN - DSL - Modem - Modem LAN - WiFi WAN Port - WiFi LAN - Network switch (for other Ethernet devices) Can you assist with this issue?
Hi guys I have a bridge a play one and 2 connect amps, since the updates it keeps telling me my bridge is incompatible, does anyone know if I get the new boost, will my other sonos equipment work still?
