Something has changed recently, I can still play music on my So is surround system off the internet, but can no longer connect to the tv, no ability to adjust sound with tv at all, it’s like it is not connected. I have a red output signal on my optical audio cable. It was working fine very recently

Try unplugging your TV and Playbar from power for a couple of minutes. You can also try using a different optical cable.
